No choice
As soon as Alec left, I dropped myself onto the bed. I had kissed two guys on the same day and needed to think about the direction my life was taking. Alec’s kiss had been awesome and it proved he was definitely better than Ross in everything.
Kissing two guys on the same day was not the kind of thing I would normally do. It was not me. I did like the direction my life was taking because I knew it would end in regrets. I had to start controlling myself more before I ended up in hot soup.
Why did I kiss Alec Warton?
Ross had annoyed me a lot and had tried to force me into something I wasn’t ready for, at least not with him. Maybe it was my fault that I led him on. But even after telling him I wasn’t ready he insisted and so I’d left his room and wasn’t going back.
I had told Alec that I was going back to Ross after finding a party in my room just because I wanted to hear what Carina would say. How could Ross even sleep with a slut like her? There were so many girls in the world that he could go for. I was so disappointed in him.
I thought of the two reasons for kissing Alec. First of all, I was so stressed and needed someone to soothe me and a kiss from Alec would make me feel better. He may have been annoying but he was so attractive it was hard to hate him forever. My walls were definitely breaking and whether that was a good or bad thing, I didn’t know.
The other reason was my hate for Carina. I thought she’d seduced Ross. I needed to show her that at least Alec would prefer me to her. She probably thought she was better than every other girl because almost all men wanted her.
Though I felt good, I couldn’t sleep. The music was so loud and annoying. I tried to imagine what Alec was doing. The thought of him being around so many females made me cringe and I decided to think about something else.Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
I had to put a full stop to whatever craziness was boiling in my mind. I couldn’t become the type of girl I despised, the type that was will to jump in bed with every Tom, Dick and Harry.
Whatever had happened with those two lads was never supposed to happen again. Both of them only cared about themselves, and it was high time I started thinking of what was best for me, not what was available.

I woke up feeling very exhausted. I could have stayed in bed but I had an early class and as you know, I never skipped classes. I went to the bathroom. After brushing my teeth, I went to make some breakfast before I could take a shower.
On opening the door, I found the living room very disorganized then I remembered the stupid mini party. There was no one in sight and I hoped Alec would help me clean the room. I decided to postpone my breakfast because I couldn’t eat in a dirty place. It wasn’t a good thing to do according to the lessons my mother’s lessons. There was no way I could enjoy food in a place that looked like a pig sty.
I went and knocked on Alec’s door.
“Coming,” He called out and my heart skipped a beat. I remembered what had transpired between us last night and started feeling nervous.
The door opened and he appeared wearing a black vest and black shorts. He looked so fresh and good, even when from bed. On the other hand, I was pretty sure I looked like a ghost. “What do you want?” He asked.
He didn’t even greet me. What a despicable jerk! Why did I expect civilty from him in the first place. He was a jerk.
“Morning to you too, Alec,” I greeted, trying to remain calm. “I hope you had a wonderful night.”
“What do you want?” He asked, raising his brows.
“The living room is messy and dirty,” I began. “I wanted to see if you can help me clean it up. We can’t stay in a place that looks like this.”
“I can’t,” He said, turning to leave. “I think you’ll have to do it alone because I’m going to shower. I have a class in an hour”
“I also have a class at the same time,”, I informed him.
“I don’t care,” He went back into his room. “I have stuff to do. Do whatever you want, Harris.”
At that moment, I decided I’d clean up later, when I was back from class. My appetite for breakfast was long gone. My annoying roommate was never going to change.
I dashed to the bathroom and in a few minutes, I was done with getting ready to leave. And when I talk about few, it meant around forty minutes. I was very late. I got the idea of setting an alarm every night but being awakened by unpleasant ringing didn’t sound so appealing to me. Being late was a hundred times better than that. I was going to have to walk faster or take a taxi.
“Wait for me,” I heard Alec say when I’d reached the front door. If he expected me to wait, then he was greatly mistaken. After his recent behaviour, I didn’t even want to hear a word from him.
I really needed to get my car repaired.
A car stopped in front of me and I wished whoever was in it would give me a lift. As I got nearer, I realized it was Alec and he was waiting for me.
You must be thinking omg! What a sweet guy! Night in shinning armour and whatnot.
“Get in,” He gave me his sweetest smile when I reached where the car was parked.
I had no choice but to get in.
