The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 246

When Joseph heard the name "Jensen", he understood who the latter was.

Lambda City had six districts. Medicare Hospital was located in Songforest District. Jensen Lynch had come here to do an inspection before, and he was also the director of the health department.

Joseph doubted if Baxter had the power to summon him. "Mr. Paulson, Jensen is the director of the health department. Would he listen to us?"

From experience, Baxter knew that he shouldn't doubt the director's judgment, or else the latter would feel embarrassed.

However, he had his own ways. Talking to the director about something hush-hush like this would make it seem like he was sharing a secret with the director. As a result, the director would treat him like one of his own friends.

Even if Jensen didn't help Baxter deal with the clinic, there would be a bond between them. That also counted as a win.novelbin

Baxter said condescendingly, "You wouldn't understand certain things without experience. Do you know who the two types of people with the most connections are?"

Joseph reckoned that, with his age, he would know of things like this. However, he played dumb and said, "I don't, sir. Tell me, so that I can learn something new as well."

Baxter held up two fingers. "The first is the hospital dean. A hospital can determine whether someone lives or dies. Everyone has family and friends who will get old and sick. There's always going to be a time when they will need the hospital dean. "The second type is a school principal. As long as someone has children, they would need to talk to the principal. This is just how life is. I may only be the associate dean, but Jensen will do what I command with just a few words."

Joseph was impressed. "It's an honor for me to know you, Mr. Paulson. Truly."

Baxter smiled proudly. "A clinic is no match for me. I can destroy it with a single sentence."

At Wealthwave Group, Rachel sat in her seat motionlessly. She had a grim expression on her face.

Her sales representatives dared not look her in the eye. They had their heads bowed, as if they'd done something wrong.

Rachel repeated, "Do you really have no way of persuading the remaining hospitals?"

One of the sales representatives knew that there was no avoiding the question, so he said, "The first few hospitals will only accept new drugs if they've had a long-term business relationship with the companies beforehand. The other hospitals wouldn't even hear us out,

Rachel stood up. "Set up appointments with the chief directors of those hospitals. I'll talk to them personally."

Then, she left the meeting room. On the way back to her office, she wondered to herself whether manufacturing a new type of medicine was the wrong decision to make.

After the manufacturing process, every step of introducing the medicine to the market was excruciating.

Once she went back to the office, she saw Matthew drinking coffee in her seat. He was using her cup, too. "Why are you here?"

Hence, I came back."

When Rachel heard that, she immediately remembered what they'd said in the stairway. She blushed. "This is an office. How can we talk about things like that?"

Matthew saw the blush on her

cheeks, which added a vibrant touch of color to her face. He remembered how she'd bounced on top of him in the car, moaning loudly. His throat went dry.

"The office is a good place, really. At least it's better than the car."

Rachel could hear the hidden meaning in his words. She glared at him. "What are you talking about? I was talking about something serious."

Matthew played dumb. "That's what I meant, too. What did you think I was talking about?"

What a bastard! He was obviously referring to the intimate moment they'd shared in the car.
