Chapter 245
When Matthew finally stopped, all of the men were bleeding from their mouths. They had their hands over their lips, moaning in pain. The floor was full of blood and teeth.
It was like Joseph had been shot. He was stunned by what he saw. All of his men were wounded before he could even blink. On top of that, they were all hurt in the same way.
It dawned on him that he'd been messing with the wrong guy.
Matthew glared at the men and asked coldly, "Who else has a toothache? I'll take care of it for you right now."
They retreated in fright, none of them daring to say a word. Then, Matthew looked at Joseph and said, "You were complaining of a toothache. Tell me, which one of your teeth still hurts? I'll rip it right out for you." Joseph stumbled backward. "What... what do you want to do to me?"
Matthew stepped forward. "I just want to cure your toothache!"
Joseph was so frightened that he turned on his tail and ran. All of them ran out of the shop like scared rabbits.
Once outside, Joseph realized that Matthew wasn't chasing after them. He warned angrily, "Just you wait! You'll regret ever trying to compete with Medicare Hospital!"
Then, with a flick of his wrist, he ran away with his men. The rest of the customers saw their bloodied mouths and heard what he said about Medicare Hospital. They began gossiping.
"Those people were from Medicare Hospital. This means that the clinic has made them angry. Isn't that a death wish?"
"No one can afford to make Medicare Hospital angry. The shop lots here all rely on the hospital for business."
"The clinic is probably going to close down. It's a serious thing for those people to get beat up."
Meanwhile, in the clinic, Silas looked at Matthew like he was an alien. "I didn't know you could fight that well." Matthew smiled. "I'm just a little stronger than normal."
Silas knew what he saw. Matthew hadn't gotten the least bit hurt in the brawl. Matthew was definitely a very experienced fighter. This was worth celebrating and being worried about.
en
Matthew had been a little too vicious. There would definitely be crazy repercussions after this.
"What will we do now?"
Matthew smiled. "What do you mean? Are you talking about what Medicare Hospital will do? Just ignore them. We'll carry on with business as usual."
Baxter was sitting in his
air-conditioned office in Medicare
Hospital. He had made himself some coffee and was waiting serenely for Joseph to come backnovelbin
with good news.
With a loud bang, the door was shoved open. Baxter jumped in fright, spilling hot coffee all over his lap. He leaped up from his seat. When he saw Joseph, he yelled, "Can't you knock?"
Joseph said bitterly, "We didn't get the job done."
Baxter was infuriated. "Didn't I tell you to get all the guards? It's just two people. Are you fucking useless or what?"
Joseph was already in a lot of pain. He hated being yelled at, but he dared not flare up. He took a deep breath to calm himself down.
"He got himself an experienced fighter to protect him. We're just security guards. We were no match for him even though there were a dozen of us."
A fighter? Baxter didn't think that the
stuff that happened on TV would actually happen in real life. He spotted the blood around Joseph's mouth and knew that it was no hoax.
"So he can fight, can he? Well, that means we can't win with brute force. In that case, I'll get Jensen to confiscate his health license!"
