Chapter 152 Moved into The Carter Manor
Mia's room was huge, and it even had a study area, which totally surprised Allison.
It was obvious that Mia was really loved by her family. Allison decided not to share a bed with Mia and picked the guest room across from Mia's instead. This way, they could still study together in Mia's study area a perfect setup. The Carters were cool with Allison's choice. Actually, Aiden himself set up a study in the room next to Allison's because Alexander mentioned that Allison might need her own space for research. Luckily, Carter Manor was big enough. The third floor was just for Alexander, Allison, and Mia.
The rest of the family lived on the first and second floors, giving the three of them plenty of space.
"Allison, don't feel like you're imposing. This is your home now!" Aiden said with a big smile, feeling like his life had just gotten perfect.
Since Allison couldn't go to school yet, Mia brought back all her class materials and notes, along with a backpack full of worksheets.
After an hour in the study, Alexander sent Allison off to rest.
Going through Mia's notes and worksheets, Allison quickly caught up with their progress. She went back to her room and, in just twenty minutes, created three sets of worksheets for Mia, covering six subjects, with three versions for each subject.
Mia looked at the stack of papers, feeling overwhelmed. "Allison, are you some kind of demon?"
Allison grinned and handed the tablet to Alexander. "Print these out for her. This is her study plan for the week."
Alexander took the tablet and went to print the worksheets himself.
When Victor got back and heard about it, he headed to Mia's room. There, he found Mia with a headband on, looking super focused as she studied.
"Mia?" he called softly.
Mia's eyes lit up when she saw Victor. "Dad, you're back!"
"Dad, look at this. These are the problems Allison gave me. I can't solve any of them!" Mia said, looking frustrated.
Victor glanced at the questions, raising an eyebrow. "These are from Ms. Bennett?"
Mia nodded eagerly. "Yep, she made these for me."
"Alright, let me show you how to approach them," Victor offered.
Mia's face lit up with excitement. She eagerly pulled Victor down to sit beside her and explain the problems.
She was a quick learner. Once the methods were laid out, she quickly understood how to tackle the questions.
"I'm a little genius!" Mia exclaimed happily.
Victor smiled and patted her on the head.
Victor went back to the bedroom to find Liliana still awake, leaning against the headboard with a book in her hands. Seeing him come in with a smile, she got up and grabbed his pajamas from the wardrobe. "What's got you in such a good mood? Did Mia do something to make you happy?" Liliana asked.
Victor nodded. "With Allison around, Mia seems more motivated than ever!"
Liliana chuckled. "Yeah, only Allison can keep Mia in line! I was worried it might be inconvenient for us to stay here, but now, it seems like the right choice." However, thinking about the Wilson family's attitude, Liliana was still a bit concerned.

"Do you think your father will have any objections to us staying at Carter Manor?" Liliana asked, sounding worried. Brian had long wanted Victor to bring Liliana and Mia to live with him. But Laura's constant meddling had made Victor and Liliana reluctant to move back. Now, with them staying at Carter Manor, Liliana feared Brian might not take the news well.
Victor, however, seemed totally chill. He leaned down and kissed Liliana's forehead gently. "Don't sweat it. If he asks, we'll just tell him we found a tutor for Mia to help with her studies. He won't have any objections."
Victor could tell that Liliana had relaxed a lot since they moved to Carter Manor, so he was cool with staying there.
Meanwhile, Griffin came home late at night, fuming. As soon as he walked in, he saw Alexander sitting in the living room, calmly sipping tea. This sight only made Griffin angrier, and he stormed over and gave Alexander a swift kick. "Must be nice, huh? I'm out there busting my butt while you're here relaxing!" Griffin grumbled, flopping onto the couch with a look of exasperation aimed at Alexander. Alexander laughed and poured Griffin a cup of tea. "What, Griffin? Not even fifty and already worn out?"
"You jerk, I'm not worn out! I might be older, but I've still got plenty of energy!" Griffin's voice boomed through the living room.
Allison, who was coming downstairs to get a drink of water, was startled and nearly dropped her glass.
Amused by Griffin's outburst, Allison tried to stifle her laughter as she headed quietly toward the kitchen. But Alexander noticed her and immediately got up to help.
"What's going on? I told you, if you need anything, just let me know. I'll get it for you," he said, walking over to her.
Griffin blushed in embarrassment and quickly retreated to his room.
In the kitchen, Alexander filled the glass with water and handed it to Allison. "Next time, just text me if you need something at night. I'll bring it to you. Your shoulder still needs to heal, and you should be resting as much as possible." Allison nodded, taking the glass.

As she turned to leave, Alexander gently wrapped his arms around her from behind. "Allison, you know, you could stay in my room. I'll take the guest room."
Even now, Alexander was trying to lure Allison into his territory, but she wasn't falling for it.
"No, it's fine as it is. Don't disrupt my routine. I'm not used to living with so many people. I spent most of my childhood alone or with my grandmother. But Alexander, I really like the atmosphere here. It feels like a real home," Allison said. Alexander kissed her on the cheek, took the cup from her, and put his arm around her shoulder as they walked upstairs.
"I told you, this is your home. As long as you like it, you can stay here forever. Come on, let me take you upstairs. No staying up late; you need to rest at night," Alexander said.
Allison nodded. Her health wasn't great, so she obediently went to bed.
As Alexander left Allison's room, his phone lit up with a call from Declan.
"Alexander, what do you plan to do with Cameron?" Declan asked.
"Let him go," Alexander replied.
Declan was surprised. "Just let him go? That's a waste!"
Alexander smirked. "The Simmons family's issues are theirs to handle. I'll get revenge for Allison, but not now. He still has his uses. Let him go."
Declan hung up and ordered his men to release Cameron. He didn't show himself but watched through the surveillance cameras as Cameron was picked up by a car shortly after being freed.
"Keep an eye on Cameron," Declan ordered his men. "He's vengeful and ruthless. Releasing a wolf like him means he'll come back to bite us hard. Let's see just how capable he really is."
In the car, Cameron sat in silence, his presence so menacing that no one dared to speak. His eyes were filled with a dangerous intensity, as if he could lash out and kill at any moment.novelbin
