Chapter 1953
"I can't just leave him here. But I'm in a bit of a pickle myself."
Nash initially wanted to take Alfius with him and run, but the relentless arrows that came flying at him forced him to retreat.
He hid Alfius among a relatively concealed pile of rocks, and Nash could only pray now that no one would find him.
Arrows continued to rain down on him, forcing Nash to dance to avoid them. Suddenly, a dagger came flying at him from ahead from an odd angle. Nash rolled to the side just in time to avoid it.
Two figures then jumped down from the trees.
It was Brew and Brett!
"Yo, 30 points. Finally caught you!"
"Damn!" Nash looked around him. Besides the two in front of him, there were others also coming up to him from behind.
"Die!" Brew lunged at him with a dagger.
With no choice, Nash braced himself and engaged. He grabbed Brew's arm and dislocated it, causing him to drop the dagger. Nash then swept Brew's legs out from under him, picked up the fallen dagger, and stabbed it into Brew's right shoulder. Brew screamed in agony.
At that moment, another one of Nash's pursuers shot a crossbow bolt at him from behind. Without turning around, Nash caught the bolt in mid-air with one hand and crushed it.novelbin
Everyone was stunned by Nash's display of power.
Nash could tell that this power did not come from him alone but from the pearl he had obtained!
The God of Equilibrium should possess absolute rationality when it came to maintaining balance regardless of the situation. However, what he said before had contradicted his own principles.
This meant something unexpected had occurred that surprised even the God of Equilibrium. Why did the pearl that used to absorb true energy suddenly stop functioning?
Regardless, Nash could now feel the pearl supplying him with power continuously as if it were his own energy center.
Growing more confident, Nash
quickly approached Brett and took the large man down in a few swift moves. He then darted toward the two other participants wielding crossbows. en
One of them sensed approaching danger and tried to flee while the other decided to stand his ground and take a gamble. However, before he could even take his aim, Nash kicked him and sent him flying several meters away.
After that, Nash dispatched the remaining pursuers effortlessly, giving each a single punch. Then, he suddenly remembered Alfius.
"Wait... He's still... Wait... Alfius? Who's that?" Nash muttered to himself. "Why does that name come to mind?"
Without dwelling on it further, he continued on his way.
"Who else wants to challenge me? Come on, bring it on," he roared.
The tables had turned-the prey was now the predator.
Meanwhile, Sven and Marie had noticed something off about Nash. They had rushed over when they heard the God of Equilibrium pose the new game. "How is he moving so fast all of a sudden?"
"Marie, wait a moment," Sven called out.
"What's wrong?" Marie asked, puzzled.
"Let's not go to him first. We should check the area around that collapsed mountain first."
"But... the mountain has already collapsed. There's—"
"No, we need to at least confirm if there's anything unusual around the area."
Sven had sensed something was off about his condition. He had been feeling weak and exhausted, but the moment the new task was
announced, he felt his strength, net
return. With Nash being so fiercely hunted right now, he might have found something significant too.
Then, there was Alfius. If Sven's strength had returned, what about Alfius' condition? Was Nash running so fast while carrying Alfius? He had to check.
