My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul

Chapter 1300

Caleb first saw Simona, and only after speaking did he notice the person sitting across from her.

There was a handsome young man with delicate features.

"And this is?" He glanced at the young man with curiosity.

When Stephen saw Caleb, he immediately felt guarded and wary. Being able to dine at such a place and knowing Simona indicated that he was someone from the same social circle.

With just one look, Stephen could tell that the man before him was different from ordinary people like himself.

"Caleb? What a coincidence. This is my boyfriend, Stephen. We just made our relationship official, so I haven't told many friends yet," Simona said.

She didn't want to hide anything, especially since they had already run into each other. Introducing Stephen to her friends would be a good start, as he would eventually meet them anyway.

Stephen felt a bit uneasy but managed to remain composed as he stood up and extended his hand toward Caleb. "Hello, I'm Stephen Pearce, Simona's boyfriend."

Caleb shook Stephen's hand and smiled. "Caleb Gardner, a friend of Simona's."

"Caleb and I have known each other since we were kids. You don't have to feel nervous around him. We'll be seeing each other often," Simona quickly said, worried that Stephen might feel uncomfortable.

Stephen smiled and said, "Okay."

What he felt wasn't nervousness but an ingrained sense of inferiority. He felt that Caleb was scrutinizing him, assessing whether he was worthy of being Simona's boyfriend.

Noticing that Stephen's gaze was a bit evasive and avoiding direct eye contact, Caleb raised an eyebrow. "Are you two university classmates? Simona, you're pretty tight-lipped, huh? You didn't even tell us you had a boyfriend."

"There just wasn't a good opportunity yet. Now that we've run into each other, I can introduce him. Don't nitpick! Who are you meeting today?" Simona spoke to Caleb with casual ease.

"I'm by myself. When I passed by, I was tempted by the smell."

"Then join us for dinner. I ordered quite a bit, and I can add a few more dishes, including your favorite foie gras," Simona said casually.

Stephen felt a twinge of dissatisfaction. His plans were disrupted. There were some things he couldn't say in front of others.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

"Is that okay? I don't want to intrude on your date," Caleb said, noticing Stephen's reluctance.

After all, most people didn't appreciate a third party interrupting their date. He wouldn't impose normally, but for some reason, he felt like staying to observe today.

Stephen's expression gave him an inexplicable feeling. He looked like he was scheming something.

Of course, it was possible that he was just being overly suspicious due to recent exposure to complicated situations and overthinking things.

"You're not intruding, of course. We see each other all the time at university, and since you're a friend of Simona's, you should just join us," Stephen said before Simona could speak.

Simona immediately nodded. "No intrusion at all. Sit down."

Caleb was not one to overthink things. So he took a seat.

The rest of the meal appeared to be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
