My Aloof Sisters Asked for My Forgiveness

Chapter 326

"Mrs. Swift, you shouldn't keep working here as a janitor," Dustin said to Michelle seriously in the Creative Arts Corporation office. Dustin had some free time, so he was prepared to make some arrangements for Michelle. He wanted her to live a life of luxury. "What am I supposed to do if not this?" Michelle sighed. "Besides, Miss Shawna gave me this chance, so I have to work hard." "Don't worry, Mrs. Swift. I will take care of you. You won't have to work. Just enjoy your golden years," Dustin said with a smile. "Alright. You work hard, then, and I'll leech off you." Michelle was not taking any of this seriously. She thought that Dustin was only joking.

After all, the once-successful Fox family was no more. What kind of good life could its sole surviving descendant enjoy?

"Dustin, I've saved up some money over the years. It's not a lot, but you can ask me for money if you need it. After all, you youngsters have a lot of expenses," Michelle said as she walked off.

Dustin felt a pang in his heart.

How could he let her continue living like this?

'Forget it. I'll just make the arrangements and surprise her with a new place,' Dustin thought.

"Dustin, come with me for a moment. I'm going to rent a place," Shawna said as she walked over to him.

"You're renting a place?" Dustin was a little surprised.

"We can't stay with the Riley family anymore." Shawna looked upset.

It seemed that there had been another fight of some sort.

"If you have any suggestions for a good place, let me know. I need some help looking for the right unit. It would be best if it were cheap, but it can't be too far away," Shawna said softly.

Shawna was the general manager of Creative Arts Corporation, but she was so thrifty.

"I'll take care of it!" Dustin said immediately.

He was ready to arrange everything for Shawna and her mother to live with Michelle. It worked out well, too. That way, Michelle would not be alone. "Alright..." Shawna smiled warmly.novelbin

It was clear that she did not put much stock in Dustin's help.

After all, Shawna was the one who had given him a job, and Dustin lived in the company's staff dorms.

Outside the company, Shawna was speaking to Maisie.

"Mom, why don't we rent a place on the outskirts?"

She had been working diligently for the past few years and had not really needed anything from the Riley family. She had worked so hard for validation. Yet, she still did not get any kind of recognition or acceptance in the end.

She did not have that much money in her account, but she could still eke out a living.

“With me here, how could I let you live a hard life?” Dustin said seriously.

He waved down a cab.

"Where are we going?" Shawna asked.

"We're going to buy a house, of course," Dustin said with a smile.

Michelle had shown him so much

Shawna had been good to Michelle, as well. Thus, Dustin had to repay her somehow.

"Buy a house? Buy what house?" Shawna was confused.

"I'm buying the house." Dustin smirked.

"You... have the money to buy a house?" Shawna asked haltingly. She did not quite believe that.

"It's just a house. It won't cost much," Dustin said calmly. He ushered Shawna and Maisie into the car.

"We want to go to Grayvale's most high-class property agency," he told the cab driver.

The cab driver got excited when he heard that. He floored the gas pedal and got the three of them there in no time.

"Dustin, are you sure you want to buy a house from here?" Shawna asked in shock.

This was Grayvale's most high-end property. The prices of these houses were far more expensive than Grayvale's city center.

Luxury was the name of the game here, and most people could not afford a house in this place.

"Dustin, there's no need for this. You can just rent any old place," Maisie said.

"We're already here, so why not just take a look?" Dustin ushered Shawna and Maisie inside.

“Sir, Madams, are you here to survey a house? Please come this way," said a pretty sales agent.

"Shawna Welch!"

Before they took more than a few steps, a surprised voice sounded.

A young, handsome man wearing a branded suit walked toward Shawna.

"Our campus belle! It's so hard to meet with you these days. I've tried to ask you out so many times, but you never had time. I'm surprised you have the time to come here. You're not looking for a house, are you?" the man asked teasingly.

"Troy Ziegler, it's been a long time," Shawna said with an awkward smile.
