Love In Twilight By Tiny Mountains Chapter 409
Chapter 409 How Much Is This? I’ll Wire The Money To You
The months went by, and September came.
Summer break ended and the University of Florin had opened its doors again. Since it was the start of
the semester, there were many students around campus.
Being among youngsters made Clarissa feel youthful again.
Wednesday morning, and Clarissa had a lecture to lead. The lecture was compulsory for all finance
students. The module itself was named Research in Finance and Accounting.
Today, she was wearing a one-piece denim dress. The soft and skin-tight fabric adhered to her body
line, which accentuated her slim waistline. With light makeup and her hair tied into a bun, she looked
young and refreshing. She appeared proper and professional as a teacher.
This year, there were only around twenty postgraduate students admitted into the faculty of finance,
with a few of them majoring in different areas.
Since today was Clarissa’s first class, she was slightly nervous. Beads of sweat formed on her
forehead due to the hot weather.
“Hello, everyone. I’m your lecturer for this module. My name is Clarissa Johnson.”
Then, she proceeded to write her name on the board.
After years of training, her handwriting was clear and concise.
While turning to the board, she could hear the students muttering under their breaths.
Clarissa could already guess what they were talking about. Right now, all the lecturers in the
department looked around forty. Compared to the other lecturers, Clarissa seemed very young, and
she only looked around twenty-three. Listening to their gossip, Clarissa knew they were probably
discussing her academic qualifications, and whether she was married or not.
Back when Clarissa was still studying, she used to act the same way as her current students.
Thinking about herself in the past, Clarissa couldn’t help but laugh.
Caleb, who was sitting at the back, stared at Clarissa curiously.
Caleb was shocked when he saw Clarissa walking into the lecture hall just now. He was pleasantly
surprised upon the revelation that Clarissa wasn’t an assistant lecturer for undergraduate studies, but a
lecturer for postgraduate students! Since she was qualified to teach postgraduates, she must have
gotten her Ph.D. already. It left him thinking, ‘Is she twenty-seven? Or twenty-eight?’
Staring at her, he thought Clarissa didn’t look any different from a university student.
Clarissa started her class with simple examples that were easy to understand, and delved into the
deeper parts once the students understood the gist of the content. The students enjoyed the way she Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.
clarified their questions as well.
After class, it was already 11:50 in the morning. Clarissa rushed to Cafeteria 1 immediately to have her
lunch.
Cafeteria 1 wasn’t the cafeteria designed for the lecturers. Since she had to rush to another
class at one in the afternoon and Cafeteria 1 was near the assigned lecture hall, she decided to have
lunch there.
It was the afternoon, and a lot of students were lining up to order their lunch.
Being a civilized teacher, Clarissa didn’t cut the line. Instead, she waited patiently in line with the
students.
“Miss Johnson?” With one hand in his pocket and another carrying his lunch box, Caleb walked by
Clarissa.
Clarissa couldn’t see what was in his hand, and she didn’t know if he had finished his lunch or
not.
“Caleb?” Clarissa was slightly surprised to see him in the cafeteria.
“Why didn’t you prepare your own lunch, Miss Johnson?” Caleb asked.
He looked at Clarissa with a gleeful expression. The way he looked at Clarissa and his tone of voice
didn’t seem to reflect the respect he should have for a teacher.
“I still have class at one later.” Clarissa glanced at her wristwatch. It was already 12:15.
Noticing the time, she looked even more anxious than before.
Without saying anything, Caleb reached for Clarissa’s plate and walked to the front line.
Not long after, he came back with two plates of meals.
He even found them a seat and sat right opposite Clarissa.
“Why didn’t you have your lunch at the cafeteria designed for the university staff?” Caleb asked.
Clarissa looked at her plate. He had ordered a rib-eye steak and mashed potatoes as a side for
her.
“How do you know that I want to order this?” Clarissa asked.
Feeling proud of himself, he asked, “I picked the most expensive one from the menu. Even if you don’t
like it, you wouldn’t have rejected my goodwill.”
When Clarissa noticed that she had fallen into her student’s trap, she was embarrassed. After all, she
was still his teacher. It didn’t seem appropriate for him to make fun of her.
“How much is it? I’ll pay you back,” Clarissa said, reaching for her phone.
“It’s forty-eight bucks. You can transfer the money to me.” Caleb reached for his phone as well, and
scanned Clarissa’s ID and phone number.
After that, Clarissa transferred the money to him via online transfer.
In fact, it wasn’t inappropriate for a postgraduate student and a lecturer to exchange numbers
at all.
“You still haven’t told me why you’re here instead of going to the staff’s cafeteria.”
“The lecture hall that I’m going to later is nearer to Cafeteria 1.” Clarissa looked at her wristwatch
again. It was already 12:35 in the afternoon. Since she needed an extra five minutes to walk there, she
had to finish her lunch right now. With that, she started on her food.

“Where did you graduate from?” Caleb asked another question.
“Later this week, the lecturers will have a meeting with you all to introduce the supervisors. You’ll know
everything by then. I have to go now, bye!” Then, Clarissa stood up and returned her plate and cutleries
to the pantry. After that, she rushed out of the cafeteria like her life depended on it.
