Chapter 242: Meeting Someone Important
An eerie silence fell over the room.
Severo’s eyes flickered slightly, his thin lips pursed and he stared at Allyce for a few seconds before abruptly looking away. “I’ve met someone very important.”
Allyce didn’t even blink at the words, her tone slightly stern: “With Izar?”
In response to Allyce’s tortured question, Severo frowned slightly and said in a soft voice: “Yes”.
“All day?”
“Yes.
To Allyce’s question, Severo replied.
The look on his face was unmistakably honest, as if, no matter what she asked, he decided to answer.
But she stopped asking, why did she have to ask him again and again when it was his turn to explain himself?
Allyce slowly squeezed his hand, certain that Severo, with his brilliant mind, would know what she most wanted to ask.
Who had he met with Itzal? He was someone important, wasn’t he, the current head of the Solares family, and what was Severo’s relationship with him?
Allyce closed her eyes and looked a little tired: “I’m sleepy, I’m going to bed”.
Severo’s intelligence was known to all, but his attitude was clear, he did not want her to know who they had met.
Having said that, he went to bed and climbed into it, pulling the covers over himself and closing his eyes.
She thought she might lose sleep, that she wouldn’t be able to sleep, but she didn’t expect to fall asleep soon after lying there.
…
The next day, Allyce woke up at dawn.
As he lifted the sheets and got out of bed, he turned his head absent-mindedly and noticed a small red bloodstain on the sheets.
Uh …
Allyce blushed and counted the time, it seemed to be her period.
He hurried to the bathroom and came out to remove the sheets and replace them with new ones.
“Are you up already?”
Severo entered at that moment and saw her changing the sheets, his eyes flickered slightly and he quickly understood what was happening.
“Mmm.” Allyce hugged the sheets and looked at him a little uncomfortably, always feeling that Severo knew what she had done with the sheets …
“Come down for breakfast.” Severo saw how uncomfortable she was and with that confession, he turned and left.
Relieved, Allyce took the sheet into the bathroom and cleaned the bloodstain before throwing it into the washing machine.
When he came downstairs, Severo was answering the phone and when he heard a noise behind him, he turned his head to look at Allyce and lowered his voice slightly.
Allyce was a bit far away, so she couldn’t hear what he was saying.
When she came downstairs, Severo had hung up the phone and was on his way to her.
The two headed for the restaurant.
Allyce had mixed feelings as she contemplated the delicious and nutritious breakfast in front of her.
In fact, Severo was really nice …
Except for the fact that he likes to keep everything that happens to himself.
He doesn’t tell you anything about what he does, what he thinks or what he gets angry about, and he doesn’t let you know.
Although she didn’t want to go into details about who she met with Izar yesterday, Allyce knew it had to be someone important, otherwise he wouldn’t have left her alone in the hospital without even saying hello.
But it was really frustrating.
He had gone to see someone very important with someone else who had always coveted him, and even if he didn’t take her there, he wouldn’t even tell her.
“Still no appetite?” Severo asked Allyce aloud, seeing her hesitation to move her mouth.
Allyce came to and gave a casual excuse: “I haven’t slept well and I’m feeling a bit sleepy”.
Probably because he was worried about his stomach, Severo did not prepare the usual western breakfast.
It was a small rice porridge and two small plates, plus some nice sandwiches.
Allyce worked up an appetite and ate two and a half plates before stopping.
At that moment, Severo brought another cup of brown sugar water and placed it in front of her, indicating: “Don’t take those pills yet.
Allyce said nothing and drank the brown sugar water in silence. After drinking it, she felt no more pain in her belly, which was vaguely aching before.
“I’ll go first, call … if you need anything, or you can call Xabat and Neto”.
The momentary pause in the middle of Severo’s sentence was keenly noted by Allyce.
Seeing Allyce’s silence, he thought she was listening to him intently and her face softened unconsciously. “If you want to go out, call the driver, I saved his number for you last time, understand?”
“Yes.” Allyce nodded her head very softly with furrowed brows.
Severo watched her mind wander, leaned over, lifted her chin and kissed her.
The kiss had the sweet taste of brown sugar.
Severo’s eyebrows stretched for a moment, and his whole person suddenly brightened, with a small smile between his eyebrows: “Wait for me at home, I’ll be back with you as soon as possible and early”.
After saying that, he pinched Allyce’s face again before wistfully walking away.
Until the sound of the departing car came from outside, Allyce remained in the same position as before without moving a bit.
She suddenly felt like a pet when Severo said he would return to her as soon as possible.
Beef had run up to her at some point and moved around her a little anxiously.
Allyce knew that Beef wanted to go for a walk, a habit he had developed over time.
Allyce reached out and took Beef in her arms, murmuring, “I feel like I’m right there with you now …”
…
Allyce wanted to fix the difficulties she was having.
Severo didn’t want her to know who he had met yesterday, though.
But, Allyce just needed a reason and she was motivated to find out.
Simply because, well, it’s Severo.
Severo hadn’t let her drive since her last small car accident, but there were several cars in the family garage.
Allyce chose a low-profile car and headed for Kimdis.
He wanted to know if it was really the ruling Solares family that he and Izar were meeting, so it would probably be in Kimdis.
But to Allyce’s surprise, neither Severo nor Izar showed up at Kimdis until noon.
Instead, he met Lucila and Neto.
“What a nice perk for Blue Sky Investments, having the boss bring his staff to dine alone in a place like this.” Allyce smiled at the two people approaching her with a smile in her voice.
Lucila shouted an explanation: “No, he invited me to dinner after losing a bet with me”.
“Ah, so that’s it.” Allyce seemed to understand.
Neto glared at her and it occurred to Allyce that if he was someone important to Severo, then Neto must know him too!
So Allyce shamelessly sat down at a table with them.NôvelDrama.Org holds text © rights.
When Lucila had gone to the bathroom, Neto finally couldn’t resist speaking: “Tell me, what have I done to offend you?
She had found an opportunity to have dinner with Lucila alone, and Allyce had to interfere!
“No, actually I have something to ask you …” Allyce smiled softly at him.
Neto was surprised: “If you have something to say, say it, don’t smile.
Neto thought Allyce was as scary as Severo when he smiled.
“It’s just that … Severo told me he was taking me to see someone very important tonight, but he didn’t tell me who he was taking me to and I was a bit nervous …”
Allyce clutched her glass of water in both hands, trepidation on her face.
“Severo is going to take you to see ….” Neto paused violently at this point.
Allyce’s heart skipped a beat, she had guessed that Neto must know.
She frowned, her face still troubled, “Can you tell me who he’s taking me to see, it’s so mysterious it makes me nervous”.
Neto’s face became a little serious and he said with some suspicion: “Is he really going to take you to meet someone?
“Of course, what am I going to lie to you about! Allyce gave him an expressionless look.
Neto looked at her, thought for a moment and said: “I told you to leave now and don’t bother us!
“All right!”
Allyce nodded curtly and Neto replied briskly, “The man he’s taking you to see is his grandfather”.
Severo’s grandfather?
