Chapter 191: Indifference
Severo wore only a thin black shirt with three buttons undone at the collar. His handsome face was expressionless, his dark eyes were slightly sleepy and his whole body looked ascetic and sexual.
Sitting in the centre of the table, Allyce looked up and froze slightly.
After spending so much time together, she never tired of looking at Severo’s face, which seemed especially good no matter what time of day she looked at it.
When the fat man saw that Severo said nothing, he took it as a sign of acquiescence, and then reached up in his mind, pulling Allyce’s hand tighter, and trying to reach out to touch her face.
“Little beauty, come with me to the bathroom and let’s go to …”
Allyce bowed her head to avoid his fat hand: “Show some respect, I’m a guest here, just in the wrong compartment”.
Allyce’s voice was as cold as her heart.
I should not have listened to Xabat at all when he came.
Before, Severo was even jealous of her beef, and now she was here with this fat man pulling on her wrist and he was really indifferent.
What does this tell us?
It seems to say it all.
The fat man flinched slightly at Allyce’s cold stare, but only for a few seconds.
She quickly came back to herself, smiling with her eyes and nose bunched up, grabbing her wrist without letting go, “What does that matter, she can make a friend, don’t you think …”
With that, he almost touched her hand.
Allyce felt disgusted and slapped her other free hand hard on the one he was squeezing her wrist, and the fat man let go of her hand in pain.
Allyce gave him a cold look and turned to leave.
At that point, the people in the box who had been watching the action for so long began to cajole: “Isn’t he a man who can’t even handle a little sister?
The group was made up of business people, all in their 30s and 40s, so Allyce stood tenderly, like a beautiful little girl.
The fat man was so provoked that he dragged Allyce backwards: “Don’t go, little beauty, I really want to be your friend”.
“But I don’t want to be friends with a fat pig.” Allyce sneered at him, not hiding the mockery in her eyes.
No man can bear to be made fun of by a woman in that way, and the fat man was so angry that he was on the point of striking Allyce.
Allyce could have dodged it, but she looked past the people sitting in the box, saw Severo and then was slapped hard.
“There was a cracking sound and half of Allyce’s face immediately swelled up.Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
The fat man was in a fit of rage and his hand was so strong that Allyce only felt the pain in half her face from the slap.
Someone else on the inside began to cajole, “Ugh, such a pretty beauty, you can’t be bothered to hit …”.
Allyce reached up and tickled the hair that had fallen out of her ear and turned her head to look at Severo.
The table was full of business people, all rich, wearing designer labels, and there were people wearing the same brand of clothes as Severo, but no one looked as good as Severo.
He sits there quietly and makes people unconsciously want to lay their eyes on him.
But she was not in his eyes.
The fat man who had just hit her was saying something else, but Allyce wasn’t paying attention as she counted silently in her mind.
One, two, three …
Once the count reached ten, Severo did not move a muscle.
The light in Allyce’s eyes slowly went silent as she touched her face, looked up at the fat man who reached out to grab her hand again, dodged it and raised his hand to slap her back.
“No woman would like a man who has no qualities and no temperament”. Allyce’s voice was like hardened ice, the words icy.
The fat man was so scolded that he forgot to answer for a moment.
It was then that Desiderio approached.
“Miss Delahoz”.
Allyce turned around and saw that it was Desiderio and froze, earlier Xabat had brought her and she had almost forgotten that there was a Desiderio.
“Mr. Alvidrez, I’m sorry, I …”
Allyce didn’t know how to explain herself for a moment, but fortunately Desiderio didn’t need her to, smiled broadly and asked, “Can we go now? I’ll take you home.”
“Thank you.” Severo’s indifference made him feel he had made a mistake in following Xabat here.
Did she have to convince him not to drink now that she didn’t even care that someone had hit her?
Why be ashamed.
Despite this explanation, Allyce’s heart felt like it was stuffed with a pile of cotton wool and she couldn’t breathe.
Without paying much attention, Desiderio approached the fat man and politely handed him a business card: “This lady is a friend of mine, and if there is any misunderstanding that I haven’t resolved, I don’t mind reconciling it.
The fat man had only looked at her with disdain, but when he looked at the name on the card, his eyes widened and he took it with a shudder, looking at Desiderio with a little more fear.
Allyce was so absorbed in her own emotions that she didn’t notice the expression on the fat man’s face.
As she was led out of the Kimdis by Desiderio, she said apologetically, “Thank you again”.
“I’m just raising my hand, by the way.” Desiderio smiled slightly and headed for the car park.
“Mr. Alvidrez,” Allyce called him sharply, “I’ve bothered you enough for today, I’m going back on my own.
She knew that Desiderio must have a lot of work to do and that she was perfectly capable of going home on her own.
Desiderio stared, as if thinking about Allyce’s words, and after a moment nodded softly: “Well, I’ll send you the list and the account number later.
Allyce had not expected him to say that after half a day’s reflection, and in a serious tone.
A small laugh escaped him: “Well, thank you Mr. Alvidrez”.
“No need to thank me, we got even, you bought me dinner after I took you to the hospital, and you’re paying for hitting my car.”
Allyce was a little taken aback by Desiderio’s words, but agreed with Desiderio’s style of action, which was fair.
“Remember to ice it when you get back, a girl’s face is important.” Desiderio’s eyes fell on Allyce’s face.
Allyce felt Desiderio’s gaze wander a little when he looked at her face, as if he were looking through her at someone else.
After saying goodbye to Desiderio, Allyce crossed the street to catch a taxi home.
…
On the other hand, in Kimdis.
The fat man, who carried the card Desiderio had given him, did not speak for a long time with a stony face.
The other people in the box laughed at him: “What’s wrong with that guy, just handing out a business card and freaking out like that?
The fat man just shook his head and said nothing.
And Severo, who had been sitting in silence, suddenly spoke up: “With which hand did you hit him?
