Flash Marriage Makes A Perfect Match

Chapter 125: Conspiracy theory

Allyce slept remarkably well this time.

When he woke up, Severo was no longer by his side.

The phone I had placed at the foot of the bed also rang.

Allyce sat up and picked up the bedside phone, looked at the caller ID and her not-so-lucid mind cleared instantly.

He shook out a strand of hair that had fallen behind his ear before picking up the phone: “Grandfather”.

Casimiro Delahoz’s stern voice came over the phone: “Come to the office immediately.

With that, he hung up the phone.

It was so cold that Allyce returned the phone without much concern.

It was probably because of what had happened yesterday in the studio.

Allyce washed and applied her make-up before leaving the room.

Casimiro Delahoz looked angry, so be it, when has he ever been good to her?

The angrier he was, the calmer she had to be.

As he passed the study, he saw that the door was half closed and the sound of conversation was coming from inside.

“Severo, Izar is hurt because of Allyce anyway, what can you do if you go to see her?”

It was Neto’s voice.

Hearing him mention Izar caused Allyce to stop unconsciously.

He took out his phone and looked at the time, nine in the morning, Neto had gone to a lot of trouble for Izar.

Severo’s voice was much colder compared to Neto’s bitterness: “I saw him yesterday”.

“You saw him yesterday, so you can’t go today?” Neto’s voice was a little raspy.

“Why do you want to go today?” Severo’s voice was still cold, but vaguely impatient.

Allyce thought she was being very attentive, catching even that little bit of emotion in Severo’s tone.

“You … know exactly what he has in mind for you, and yet you …” Neto looked angry.

The room was silent for a moment before Severo’s voice came back in a rather serious tone: “It’s because I know what he has in mind for me that I can’t go anymore, I have a wife and I have to take her feelings into account, I’m not like you.

“Why do you say that about me?”

“Control yourself or you will fall sooner or later”.

Allyce almost burst out laughing at this.

Neto’s intention was to persuade Severo to see Izar in the hospital, but in the end he received a lecture from Severo.

Allyce had a sense of entitlement.

Neto seemed to decide that persuasion was not working and changed the subject.

Only when she heard them change the subject did Allyce push open the door.

“Good morning.” Allyce’s face was unmistakable as she strutted inside.

When his eyes fell on Neto, he spoke with mock surprise: “Neto, you’ve come so early? Are you coming for breakfast?”

“Oh, yes.” Neto looked at Allyce and thought about what he had said earlier and felt inexplicably vain.

He rubbed his nose, coughed dryly and averted his eyes.

Allyce stopped looking at him and turned her head towards Severo: “I have to go to the office.

Severo looked at her with deep eyes: “Do you want me to accompany you?

“No, I’m just taking care of some business at the office.” Allyce shook her head, thinking Severo was making a mess of things. All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.

“There was a ding, a push message on Allyce’s phone, she pulled it out and looked at it and her face sank.

“Have you seen this?” he handed his phone to Severo and asked aloud.

Severo replied: “Yes”.

So it was not a trivial matter.

Allyce read the news again carefully, with an increasingly sombre face.

“Yesterday, Izar, an international film star, was injured by a falling overhead light in a studio while doing a promotional photo shoot for an app, whose condition is unknown at the moment, and the partner company has not yet given an explanation. … Someone who was present heard Izar’s agent say something like: “Haven’t you done enough damage to Izar? It was this accident, right from the beginning …”.

This news item is well reasoned and articulated.

First, he subtly directs the problem to the company he works with, saying that it is very cheap to find a studio that is so shoddy that even the ceiling lights can fall down.

He then highlighted the quote, leading the accident in the direction of a conspiracy.

Allyce read it with a cold face and understood why Casimiro Delahoz was so angry.

When a star is injured by a falling ceiling lamp in a studio while promoting a product, it can be something big or small.

If handled well, it can be treated as a simple incident and all will be happy.

If not, it could have a direct impact on the application and even on the Delahoz Group.

Early in the morning, while Allyce was reading the news, Neto received a push message on his phone.

He read the whole story and was also stony-faced, and after reading it he simply said: “There’s a push behind the scenes”.

“Anyway, I have to go to the office first.”

Allyce put her phone away, no matter how this was going to continue, she had to get to the office and go through Casimiro Delahoz first.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to come with you?” Severus looked at her with a serious expression and a slight frown.

Allyce’s heart warmed and she reached up and pressed her hand to his forehead, staring at him for half a second before suddenly leaning in and pressing a light kiss to his lips.

Then she blurted out the words “I can do it” and ran off in her heels.

“Shit, you can’t be so abusive so early in the morning!” Neto cursed, covering his face.

Severo raised his hand and touched his lips expressionlessly, then quickly withdrew his hand and lowered it to open his laptop as if nothing was wrong.

Neto turned his head and pointed at Severo: “Severo, why are your ears red?

Severo’s hand creaked over the laptop keyboard, his voice soft and unemotional: “The air doesn’t circulate very well”.

Neto glanced at the window, which was only half open, and thought it was true, getting up to help him open it.

Neto turned around and saw again a serious Severo at work.

He didn’t want to stay any longer, so he turned around and left.

When he reached the front door, he met Allyce, who had left the garage in her car.

“Sister-in-law, you have time to send Severo to the hospital to see Izar”. Neto shook his hand.

Allyce rolled down the car window and gave a big smile so bright it made Neto’s eyes twinkle.

Then he heard Allyce’s cold voice: “Miss Bermudes saved my life, I’m the one who should see him, so what is Severo doing there? Am I sick?”

Neto: “…”

What the hell, he didn’t say anything!
