Chapter 15 It’s a great irony that I’m your wife.
Alex stood behind her, the umbrella in his hand covering her head.
“Do you think there will be the next life?” She muttered in a small voice but didn’t know who to ask again, “If there is a hell and when I die, I will ask what wrong things I did in my previous life.”
The windows on either side were penetrated by a faint yellow light, and she looked in a trance, always feeling that her father had not passed away and was inside and happy.
“How nice, how nice if it was me who died in the first place. Why is it not me who died? Why not me …”
She couldn’t help but choke up again, tears welling up in her eyes.
Alex squatted down and took a handkerchief to dry the tears on her face. Susan looked at him dumbfounded and then hugged him directly.
He subconsciously wanted to push away, but then heard her whisper: “Don’t push me away, please. I don’t know what I should do, I have no family no friends no children, nothing …”
Alex was silent, not expecting Chandler to suddenly come over and collar him and drag him backward.
Susan opened her eyes, there was a moment of confusion. But froze when she looked at Alex on the floor.
Chandler looked at her and wanted to strangle her. The one who said she loved him and liked him was now cuddling with another man right in front of him.
He felt his heart and lungs were about to explode with anger.
Susan was stunned for a moment, stood up, and pushed Chandler away, she roared: “What are you doing!”
Chandler was frozen, not expecting her to yell at him. As he watched Susan rush over and help Alex up, he was so angry that he punched him with his fist.
Susan was shocked for a moment, looking at Alex on the ground, feeling guilty.
Seeing that he was about to pounce again, Susan stepped in front of Alex, her scarlet eyes glaring coldly at him.
“Get out of the way!” He said through gritted teeth.
She didn’t make any move.
Chandler once again stressed, “I told you to get out of the way!”
“Why should I get out of the way, and who are you to hit him!” Susan stiffened and confronted him.
Chandler was furious and pulled her over, laughing in anger, “You thought you could get away with it by finding someone else. I’m telling you, you’re my wife, not someone else’s!”
“Wife?” She was stunned, and then she laughed again. Tears were squeezing out of her eyes because of that laugh.
She looked at Chandler and murmured, “It’s a great irony that you’re now saying I’m your wife ….”
“What are you laughing at?” He darkened his face, expecting her to stop, but who knew she was getting epileptic.
“It’s ridiculous …,” she looked up at the sky, tired.
Chandler looked groggily at the person in front of him.
“Do you remember what you said when I was pregnant?” She blinked, and her mood gradually calmed down, for Chandler, she could not love nor hate.
She only blamed herself, for not choosing and listening properly, for paying such a high price for her obsessions.
“Where were you when I had the abortion? Do you know that child? Did you see it, it was tiny and red and it was forced out of the world by you before it was even formed!”
Chandler said angrily, “That child is nothing but a bastard! Who are you to give birth to him?”
Susan froze, not expecting him to say such a thing, her voice trembling and weak, “So, in your eyes, it’s just a bastard. So, that’s how it is.”
He suddenly regretted it, but now, the words that have been said, can not be taken back.
“It’s my fault … it’s my fault.” She covered her face, her body trembled slightly, “So everything was my fault, it was me who thought too much.”
“Yes, the child Karen gave birth to is your child.” She suddenly raised her head and looked at the person in front of her with a tear-stained face, no one knew how desperate she was at the moment.
Chandler, however, was silent and stopped talking.
“He’s a bastard, then I’m a bitch. Are you satisfied, Mr. Walker?”
He still didn’t make a sound.
Susan looked at him and suddenly felt a little dizzy. She unconsciously leaned back, and it was only because Alex was holding her up that she didn’t fall.
“Thanks.” She whispered bitterly.
Chandler frowned, “Let her go.”
“That’s enough!” She snarled, interrupting his aggression.
She had no illusions when it came down to it.
Forcing someone who didn’t love her to live with her, a torture that was crueler than fire was truly painful.
Susan also finally understood that when she closed her eyes she wanted to put an end to all this.
“You said you would pay me as soon as I aborted the baby.” She opened her eyes and took a deep breath as she spoke.Belonging © NôvelDram/a.Org.
Chandler was stunned for a moment, then heard her say again, “Where’s the money? Where’s the money? You tell me where the money is.”
She went berserk again, “Chandler, you’re a liar! Cold-blooded and heartless is not enough to describe you, you are scum!”
“You just said I was your wife, I believed you, I believed you would give me the money, and then … Chandler, you fuck off!”
