Nelly drove the car with a frosty expression. There was an uncontrollable fury hidden beneath her eyes that looked as calm as a pool of water.
Lara sat in the backseat with her limbs tied together. She was the perfect example of a kidnap victim. No matter how much she struggled, she could not move.
However, Nelly did not seal Lara’s mouth.
Hence, Lara could be heard panicking throughout the journey. “Nelly, where are you taking me? Speak up! Do you know this is called kidnapping? Let me go, Nelly! What the hell do you want?”
Lara was on the verge of breaking down.
“Tell you what, Nelly. You brought me out of the bar. You won’t be able to get out of this if something happens to me. Do you hear what I’m saying? Nelly! Ah!” Lara yelled.
No matter what Lara said in the backseat, Nelly drove in a deadpan manner, like a robot.
Finally, Lara lost control of her emotions and shouted, “Nelly, you’re mad! You’re mental! You know what? I’ll definitely get the police to arrest you!”
Her words finally caught Nelly’s attention, and she looked at Lara through the rearview mirror.
Noticing Nelly’s reaction, Lara thought her words were working and continued, “If you let me go now, I can consider not looking into this matter and pretend as if it never happened.”
Nelly wasn’t afraid – she knew that no one could put her in jail because she has royal bloodline and is hiding her true identity as the true Alpha female. She doesn’t care about ruling any territory; she only wants to live peacefully and raise her pups. Lara named her condition confidently, wanting to negotiate with Nelly. Yet, Nelly merely curled her lips into a smirk and drove faster.
Lara frowned when Nelly did not respond. “Nelly, what’s the meaning of this? Can’t you say something? Are you mute? Oh, for goodness’ sake, say something, Nelly!”
Lara was so annoyed that she cursed, but Nelly continued driving calmly, completely unbothered by her words.
Seeing Lara slowly having a mental breakdown was the reason Nelly kept her mouth shut.
She wanted to see Lara lose her mind.
After all, the idea of facing the unknown was the scariest and most torturous feeling for a human. Just then, Nelly’s phone rang.
She hesitated to answer it when she realized it was from Alpha Kilian.
However, the phone kept ringing until Nelly finally answered it. She put it on speaker mode.
As soon as the call connected, Alpha Kilian asked without beating around the bush, “Nelly, where are you?”
“In the car.”
“Of course, I know you’re in the car. Where are you taking her?” Nelly did not answer.
Alpha Kilian sounded slightly anxious. “Nelly, tell me your current location. I’ll go there right now. No matter what happens, let me face it with you.”
“No. I can handle this myself.”
“Nelly!”
“Alpha Kilian…” Nelly suddenly spoke but fell silent after hesitating for several seconds. “What’s wrong?”
“Forget it. It’s nothing,” replied Nelly. “Nelly, where on earth are you taking her? Tell Donna to wait for me to return!”
As Nelly was about to hang up after saying that, Lara yelled toward the phone, “Alpha Kilian, help me! Nelly’s gone crazy! I don’t know what she’s going to do to me! Alpha Kilian, please help me!”
Instead of hanging up, Nelly gave Lara a few seconds to call out for help. “Alpha Kilian, if something happens to me, it’s Nelly who did it!”
“Are you done?” Nelly asked.
Lara glared at Nelly and continued yelling, “This woman is wicked! I’m sure she’s going to do something to me. Alpha Kilian, you have to see her true colors, even if it means sacrificing my life!”
Alpha Kilian heard every word Lara said loud and clear. “Where is your current location?” Alpha Kilian asked. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - ©.
Hearing a reply, Lara looked out the window. “I-I’m not sure where we are. I think it’s-” Before she could finish, Nelly ended the call.
