Alpha King’s pregnant Ex-Luna

“Rest well, for now. I shall pay you another visit on another moonlit night,” Spencer strained to say, his voice bearing the weight of his inner turmoil, to the figure lying on the bed. Turning towards the doctor and nurse, he extended his hand towards the doctor, offering his gratitude. “I am indebted to you for tending to her needs.”

He then beckoned Nelly to follow him, the two of them departing the room. The doctor watched them, bewildered. Meanwhile, the nurse approached the bed, sighing with relief as she observed the patient’s stable condition. Suddenly, her eyes widened as she noticed a flicker of movement in Erin’s finger.

“Doctor! The patient’s hand just moved!” the nurse exclaimed. Intrigued, the doctor swiftly moved closer to examine Erin further. His brow furrowed, and he murmured, “This could be a positive sign. It appears that her family’s presence has fortified her will to awaken.” The nurse nodded eagerly in agreement.Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.

“Truly a miracle!” The pair outside continued their conversation, strolling along. “I never suspected you were so perceptive,” Spencer sneered.

“Is that your interpretation of guarding the room?” Nelly quipped. Had he not reacted quickly, their cover would have been blown. “We precisely stayed for ten minutes, not a second more or less,” she replied.

Spencer rolled his eyes, muttering, “Dense.” Nonetheless, Nelly remained unfazed.

She turned towards him and inquired, “So, when will she awaken?” “If all goes well, she should awaken tomorrow,” Spencer replied. Nelly nodded in understanding. “And where do we go from here?” she asked. “To meet the other individual, of course.” With that, Nelly strode in the opposite direction.

Spencer furrowed his brow in confusion, unaware of Nelly’s mysterious intentions. Despite his uncertainty, he followed her lead. In the ward, Desmond, his head wrapped in bandages, busied himself with making urgent phone calls for assistance.

Evidently, his head injury was not severe. Desmond’s eyes widened when Nelly entered the room, but his expression soon turned resentful. “It’s you?” Nelly offered him a slight smile. “It seems you still remember me, Mr. Lucas.” Desmond sneered. “What brings you here?”

“I am here to inquire about something,” Nelly informed him. Oddly, despite being merely a woman, her gaze exerted an indescribable pressure upon him. “What do you wish to ask? I have nothing to say to you,” Desmond retorted. Unperturbed, Nelly approached and took a seat in front of him.

Desmond’s frown deepened at her audacity to claim a seat uninvited. “Who gave you permission to sit? Leave. I have no desire to converse with you.”

“I visited Erin before coming here,” Nelly revealed. At her words, Desmond froze, a flicker of hesitation dancing in his eyes. Nevertheless, he quickly regained composure and hissed at Nelly, “I’m surprised you have the audacity to visit her. If not for you and Alpha Kilian, she would not be lying there in a vegetative state! You are nothing but murderers! Even if we made a mistake, we cannot let capitalists like you trample over us.” Nelly’s lips curved ever so slightly.

“Do not fret, Mr. Lucas. I believe you possess greater knowledge than I regarding the reasons behind her current state,” Nelly retorted. Panic flickered across Desmond’s eyes. “What are you insinuating?” “What do you think?” Nelly countered. Desmond couldn’t discern if it was guilt or something else, but he felt that she had discovered something. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, but both you and Alpha Kilian are responsible for her current condition!” he insisted.

Nelly nodded in agreement. “If that is what you believe. I suppose we will discover the truth once Erin awakens.” Desmond’s gaze snapped back to her.

“Awaken? She is already in a vegetative state. How can she possibly wake?” Nelly informed him, “The doctor has stated that she will awaken tomorrow.” “That is impossible!” Desmond snarled. “Is it truly impossible, or is it that you do not wish for her to awaken, Mr. Lucas?” Nelly wondered.

Desmond’s panic intensified, his glare fixated upon her. “What nonsense are you spouting?” The more agitated he became, the more certain Nelly grew, and her smile widened. She had obtained the answer she sought.

Meanwhile, the wider Nelly smiled, the more apprehensive and uncertain Desmond became. “Do you think I am a gullible fool? It is highly improbable for someone in a vegetative state to awaken. Almost impossible!”

“Who says so?” Spencer finally interjected. “It is deemed impossible because they have yet to encounter me.” Desmond turned his attention to the stranger in the room, furrowing his brow as he questioned, “And who might you be?” “You have no right to know my identity. All you need to be aware of is that I possess the ability to save anyone I come across, even those teetering on the edge of death,” Spencer asserted confidently. Desmond scoffed at his statement. “Do you truly believe I am a naive child?”

Spencer narrowed his eyes at Desmond. “Mr. Lucas, correct? I have a query. Do you experience violent bouts of coughing at night, often coughing up blood? Yet, countless tests yield no diagnosis,” Spencer continued. Desmond stiffened but maintained his gaze upon Spencer. Undeniably, Spencer’s words struck a chord.

Spencer grinned. “It is a problem that requires treatment, and only I can provide that treatment.” Desmond stared at him for what felt like an eternity before retorting, “Did you believe your discovery of my condition from the doctor would be enough to deceive me?”

Desmond remained guarded. “Do your eyes turn bloodshot each time you engage in sexual intercourse? Do you feel as though you might go into shock?” Spencer persisted.

“You have not disclosed this to the doctor, have you?” Finally, Desmond’s eyes widened.

It pertained to a man’s dignity, thus he had not revealed it to the doctor. “Mr. Lucas, that occurrence did not transpire due to mere excitement. It would be best to pay closer attention. Perhaps one day, you will indeed go into shock and never awaken,” Spencer informed him, an amused glint in his eyes. Desmond found himself speechless in the face of Spencer’s revelations. Once Spencer had achieved his objective, he turned towards Nelly and declared, “Very well. We have said all we needed to. Let us depart.” Nelly nodded in agreement and headed towards the exit. At that moment, a thought appeared to cross Spencer’s mind, causing him to gaze back at Desmond. “Erin will awaken around nine tomorrow morning. If you doubt me, simply wait and witness it for yourself,” he stated, a grin playing upon his lips before he departed.

Desmond could only sit there, motionless, as he began to entertain doubts about Nelly and Spencer’s claims. Awaken? Could it possibly be true? No, I must not allow her to awaken. Regardless of the veracity of this situation, I cannot let her awaken. Gripped by anxiety, he contemplated for an extended period before a malicious glimmer appeared in his eyes.
