The atmosphere at the banquet was as festive as ever, the lavish display of food and drinks enticing the guests. Nelly was mingling through the crowd when suddenly, Alpha Kilian appeared beside her, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards him. Intrigued and somewhat wary, she frowned at his back and questioned his actions.
“What on earth do you think you’re doing?” Nelly inquired, her voice laced with suspicion.
Alpha Kilian cast a sideward glance at her, a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. “I’m whisking you away upstairs to change into something more fitting.”
Before Nelly could protest, Alpha Kilian effortlessly dragged her up the grand staircase and into a luxurious dressing room filled with exquisite evening gowns. Her eyes scanned the room, taking in the opulence before she turned her gaze back to Alpha Kilian, her wariness evident.
“Was it part of your grand scheme for me to be doused in champagne by Erin?” She asked, her voice laced with a hint of accusation.
Approaching her with an adoring smile, Alpha Kilian studied her features intently. “You overestimate my abilities, my dear.”
Curiosity piqued, Nelly eyed him skeptically. “So, what exactly is this place?”
“This is a VIP dressing room, reserved for the elite. The outfits in here are always fresh and untouched, waiting for someone worthy to wear them,” he explained, a note of excitement in his voice.
Nelly arched her eyebrow, slightly intrigued yet cautious. “Being wealthy certainly has its perks.”
“Are you suggesting you’re not wealthy?” Alpha Kilian questioned playfully, his eyes never leaving hers.
He couldn’t shake off the memory of her casually handing him ten million, leaving him wondering about her mysterious source of wealth. But he knew better than to underestimate her – there was much more to Nelly than met the eye.
She chuckled softly, her gaze dropping as she felt his penetrating stare. A smile, not quite genuine, graced her lips. “Compared to you, Mr. Morris, I am but a pauper.”
Alpha Kilian’s eyes burned with intensity, his response filled with sincerity. “If that’s your wish, everything here is yours.”
Nelly looked at him, skepticism etched on her face. “And what’s the catch?”
He shook his head, his gaze never wavering. “There is no catch. As long as it’s you.”
She pondered his words for a moment before a playful smirk danced across her lips. “You won’t regret this?”
“Never,” Alpha Kilian assured her. “Besides, you could always offer me a job in the future. You could pay me nothing, and I’d still be content.”
A darkness flickered in his eyes, but Nelly remained undeterred. “Are you taking advantage of me?”
Alpha Kilian stepped closer, his voice a low growl. “Are you willing to give me a chance?”
Nelly turned away, grabbing a gown from the rack. “Forget it. I have no interest in deceiving people.”
He couldn’t help but smirk at her defiance, a spark of intrigue dancing in his eyes. “But I wouldn’t just be any other person.”
She turned and met his gaze head-on. “Remember, Alpha Kilian Morris, what goes around always comes back around.”
His eyes narrowed, challenging her with his gaze. “Is that a warning?”
With a final glance, she entered the changing room, leaving him alone to contemplate her words.
Alpha Kilian sank into a chair, a smile playing on his lips. The banter between them was irresistible, even though he knew she was toying with him.
His mind wandered, pondering the consequences of his past actions. “Do my sins ultimately catch up with me? Or is there a never-ending debt that I must continue to repay?”
Silence filled the room, leaving him with unanswered questions.
As he waited patiently for Nelly to finish changing, a sense of anticipation washed over him, a glimmer of excitement fueling his smile.
Inside the changing room, Nelly stared at the gown, momentarily breaking free from Alpha Kilian’s enchantment. She quickly changed out of her stained dress and slipped into the elegant gown, only to find herself struggling with the low-hanging zipper at the back.
Frustration creased her brow when there came a knock on the door. Alpha Kilian’s voice called out, “Do you need assistance?”All content © N/.ôvel/Dr/ama.Org.
Nelly froze, her voice caught in her throat.
“Donna is rushing us outside,” he continued, his words reaching her ears.
The door swung open, revealing Nelly standing there, her face flushed and body tense. His eyes roamed over her, taking in her appearance. “What’s the matter?”
“I need another dress. This one doesn’t fit,” Nelly confessed, her grip tightening on the gown.
Alpha Kilian raised an eyebrow, a smirk forming on his lips. “Doesn’t fit? Nonsense. You have a slender figure, how could it not fit?”
She averted her gaze uncomfortably. “I can’t reach the zipper.”
Alpha Kilian’s smirk deepened, his eyes fixed on her back. “Why didn’t you say so? Let me help you.”
“No need,” Nelly protested, but before she could finish her sentence, he had maneuvered behind her, a determined glint in his eyes.
“I insist,” he whispered, his voice filled with determination.
Nelly clutched the gown tightly, her heart pounding in her chest.
His eyes fixated on her back, admiring the curve of her neck and the graceful slope of her shoulder. “You are beautiful.”
Though no words were spoken, an electric tension hummed in the air, enveloping them both in its web.
“Alpha Kilian…” she started, her voice barely a whisper.
“Just a moment more,” he murmured, reaching for the zipper.
Her ears burned with heat, the gentle touch sending shivers through her body.
His lips curled into a knowing smirk as he finally fastened the zipper, his movements slow and deliberate.
Done with his task, he leaned in close, his voice low and seductive. “Will you grant my wishes once I have fulfilled my debts?”
“What?” she stammered, her mind in disarray.
“Will you, Nelly?” he teased, his warm breath teasing her ear.
Before she could respond, Donna eagerly interrupted their moment, barging in without a care. Her eyes widened in shock as she took in the intimate scene between Nelly and Alpha Kilian.
Did I interrupt something? Did I stumble upon a secret between them?
Donna’s mind spun with a myriad of thoughts, but she quickly composed herself, acting as if she hadn’t seen a thing. She nervously scanned the room, her words tumbling out in haste. “Where are the others? Weren’t they changing in here? Where did they go?”
She lingered for a moment longer, her curiosity getting the best of her, before finally leaving the room, shutting the door quietly behind her.
With the coast clear, Nelly and Alpha Kilian exchanged a knowing look.
“Don’t you think Donna is quite perceptive for her age?” he remarked, his smirk still lingering.
Nelly couldn’t help but chuckle, relieved that their moment had been interrupted. “Indeed, she is quite mature for a little girl.”
As the sounds of their friends searching for Nelly echoed outside, they shared a silent understanding.
Alpha Kilian Morris and Nelly – their connection couldn’t be denied, no matter the obstacles that lay ahead.
