A Relentless Pursuit for Love

Chapter 237

Chapter 237

“Pfft… Haha!”

The crowd fell into a sea of laughter whilst Sage was rendered completely speechless, she smiled as the teen turned his head to look at her.

That moment was captured in frame forever by the camera.

Sage was in a pretty breezy mood upon leaving the sports academy, perhaps it was influenced by the group of youthful teenagers. The graduation ceremony was held in the school hall, the Principal was giving his speech and best wishes for his beloved students.

“Today, you’re a proud student. Tomorrow, we’re your proud teachers,” Concluded the Principal as he ended the speech on a high note. The thick layer of the Bachelor’s Gown had rendered the students sweaty from the heat and everyone just wanted the ceremony to end quickly. Except for Sage, who fully concentrated on the speech at the designated parents area. The students queued and one by one, they received their certificates from the Principal on the stage. Students were considered to be officially graduated once they take the certificates and had their tassels turned by the Principal. When it was Leah’s turn, Sage took as many photos as she could; not forgetting to clap and show a big thumbs up of course.

Leah stood under the spotlight, looking directly at her big sister. In that very moment, Leah felt that her heart that had been wandering around for twelve years, had finally found its way back home. All this why she had been like a fallen leaf, directionless. Now, however, that very leaf has finally returned to its roots.

Leah smiled sweetly. There was only one thing in her mind… ‘I must not let Sage’s effort go to waste, I promise to bring Norah Jewel’s brilliance back it’s honor!

After the graduation ceremony, Leah officially moved into the Rosa Garden. She now lived with Sage whilst Yeva moved out of the residence the same day.

Yeva called for a moving truck by herself. All of her belongings were packed into a whole load of bags and boxes in different sizes. She stood by the stairs, ordering the movers to move her belongings without lifting her hands. Oddly enough, she seemed somehow exhausted from seemingly not doing anything. “Moving is so tiring. Leah, are you done moving all your stuff?” Leah was sweating as she had just carried a few boxes up the stairs with the maids. She took a few sips of water and said as she nodded her head, “Yeah, it’s a quick process. I don’t really have that many belongings with me.” Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“That’s true, you’re a broke university student, you won’t own much belonging. Unlike me, there are plenty of things that I’d rather toss out but I can’t because they’re either precious

gold or silver. I can’t just let them go to waste now, can I?” Said Yeva. Leah smiled without saying a word. “Hey, you. Be gentle, those are all valuables, you better not break any of them!” Yeva fussed loudly, fanning herself with a floral-pattern folding fan. She uttered again,” When I’m done moving out, you can just move into my room. It’s much bigger than yours anyway.”

Leah shook her head and said, “The walls are thin in this house. Sage is a light sleeper, she’d wake up with the slightest of noise. Your room is too close to Sage’s, it’s better if we just leave it vacant. I’ll move back into my old room, it’s pretty decent as it is. Sage offered to renovate the room but I declined it.”

Yeva was annoyed as she sped up her fanning movement. ‘What an absolute bootlicker! Trying to get on Sage’s good side and all!’ Yeva cursed inaudibly.

Yeva smiled in disdain and said, “Leah, this is where you’re better than me I suppose. You know when and where to say the right things. I, on the other hand, have always been stubborn with a huge ego, I’ll never be as good of a sweet-talker like you.” Leah was unaffected by her sarcasm. She responded

patiently, “That’s not true, Yeva. Sage has always been good to me, and I truly respect her from the bottom of my heart. There was no sweet-talking at all.”

Yeva scoffed as she took a step forward and uttered, “There’s no outsiders around anymore, you can drop the act. Aren’t you exhausted? Do you really think Sage will truly care for you like a sister? Even if she does, aren’t you afraid that she might find out about what yours and my father did? Do you really think she’d be kind and forgiving then?” Yeva’s words were as sharp as a blade, stabbing her heart and sending chills down Leah’s spine as she froze in fear.
