Chapter 5 A Slap on the Face
Chapter 5 A Slap on the Face
Nurse Qi knelt on the ground begging Doctor Li. Doctor Li looked at servant Tang Yang for help. Tang
Yang said in embarrassment, "Doctor, would you save him?"
Doctor Li sneered, "Save him? He’s dying. My reputation would be ruined if I failed."
Upon hearing that, Nurse Qi almost fainted in tears, but she wouldn’t stop gasping and shouting, "My
poor grandson!"
Lu Ya stepped forward to comfort her and support Nurse Qi up to sit aside.
But the servant Tang Yang said to the doctor, “The child is really in pain. Can you prescribe some
medicines to ease his pain? No one will know about this.”
As Tang Yang said that, he stuffed silver currency into the doctor's sleeve.
Doctor Li replied, "I can relieve his pain, but it’s actually meaningless. He’ll still die."
“Fine.” Tang Yang only hoped Little Brother Huo could die more comfortably. He felt sorry for him
because they had a special bond.
Right when Doctor Li was about to go in and write a prescription, unexpectedly, the door closed with a
bang and it was also bolted inside.
Lu Ya recognized the corner of clothing that she saw when the door closed, and shouted, "It's her
grace!"
Once Nurse Qi heard that it was the princess who had entered, she was as sad as angry. Like a mad
lioness, she rushed up and slammed the door hard. "Open the door. Open it now. What do you want to
do?"
Yuan Qingling's voice came from inside. It wasn’t loud and she only said four words, "There is still
hope."
Doctor Li sneered on the spot, "He’s already dying. There is still hope? I don’t think there is anything
you can do."
Nurse Qi sank and looked at Tang Yang hopelessly. "Master Tang, please, kick the door open. I need to
accompany him. He must be scared!"
Tang Yang didn't expect the princess to come over at this key point. Why did she have to cause them
more trouble?
It seemed that she didn’t listen to the prince’s order.
If so, he must report it to the prince.
He said in a deep voice, "Lu Ya, go and invite the prince. If the prince is absent, we can’t be rude to the
princess. Get a few more people here as well and knock the door open."
“Sure!” Lu Ya was mad too, so she ran out at once.
Tang Yang asked the doctor to prescribe a prescription on the stone in the yard so that they could
prepare the medicine.
Hearing the movements outside, Yuan Qingling had no choice but to hurry up.
Little Brother Huo was groggy and he kept moaning in pain.
Yuan Qingling looked at his wound. Pus formed in the corner of his eye, and the entire eye was
swollen. It was a bacterial infection.
She opened the medicine box, took out the fluid, and gave him antibiotics first, then took out a small
knife and povidone-iodine. After disinfection, she began to clean the wound.
Without anesthesia, the kid couldn’t bear the pain, and screamed out loud. Exclusive content from NôvelDrama.Org.
Outside, Nurse Qi heard the screams of her grandson, so she slammed her head against the door, and
cursed, "Do whatever you want to me! Don't torture him! I won’t let that happen!"
"It's so cruel!" Hearing the scream, even the doctor couldn't help shaking his head.
Tang Yang was angry and felt sorry. He was afraid that Nurse Qi might injure herself, so he had to step
forward and stop her.
Lu Ya soon came back with Prince Wenhao.
As soon as Prince Wenhao entered the gate of the low courtyard, he heard the screams of Little
Brother Huo from inside.
Seeing Prince Wenhao coming, Nurse Qi knelt on the floor right away, and cried, "Your highness,
please, save my grandson!"
Prince Wenhao was mad, and said in anger. “Hit the door open, now!”
Several guards in the mansion hurriedly stepped forward and hit the door together. In a short while, the
door was knocked open.
Nurse Qi rushed in and saw Yuan Qingling holding a knife in her hand. There was a piece of blood-
stained cotton on the ground. She ran over and stood in Yuan Qingling’s way. "You are killing me. You
are killing me!"
"Grandma, it hurts. It hurts so much!" Little Brother Huo trembled all over, and took his grandma's hand
with all his strength and cried.
Yuan Qingling had already finished cleaning the wound. She actually wanted to wrap it up, but it
seemed she didn’t have a chance.
She lifted the medicine box, but was suddenly covered by a shadow. As soon as she raised her head, a
slap fell on her face, making her ear buzzing. Her cheek was so hot and numb for a while before she
felt the sharp pain.
