Rhianna’s POV

“Chief will you take care of the drugs that are in the abandoned building?” Leo asked the police officer who was on the other line as he drove the car back to Head Quarters.

“Okay Chief,” he said and put down the cellphone. He threw it on the dashboard of the car. Rhianna was quiet in her seat while looking at the trees they passed. The surroundings are silent. Relaxing in mind.

What had happened earlier suddenly entered her mind. The kiss they shared earlier still lingers on her lips. Rhianna doesn’t know what to think. Does Leo like her? Rhianna shook her head. No. Leo will never like someone like her. She doesn’t want to assume that he likes her. He should have told her the three words she was looking forward to hearing from his lips. It’s hard to hope. It’s just only a kiss, nothing more and nothing less.

“Do you want to rest? I’ll take you home. I’ll be at Head Quarters for a while.” Leo asked her. From her eyes outside the car, she turned her gaze to him, his eyes focused on the road.

“I’m coming with you., she said with finality in her voice.

“We’re going to have a drink there. I don’t want you to drink alcohol.” he said and glanced at her from the rear view mirror. What if she’ll drinks alcohol? There is nothing bad that happens to het because they are her comrades.

“I’m going with you, Leo. I’m with the group, so I’m coming. Besides, you’re with me. I’m sure bad things will not happen to me.” she said emphasizing every word she uttered. He sighed.

When they reached Head Quarters. Their comrades were already there because the vehicle they used was already in the HQ compound. They have probably surrendered the five men involved in drugs to the police. She got out of the car and not waited for Leo.

When she got inside everyone is there. They were Faith, Brandon, Alexandra, and Harold. Where is Carmela? Why isn’t she here? Why is Rhianna thinking of that woman? She’s stressing herself thinking of her.

“Hey, Rhianna. Come here and join us. We need to celebrate our victory!” Harold said while leaning at the foot of the sofa where Alexandra was sitting.

She couldn’t help but grin. She feels like they like each other. Harold is just stupid and can’t express his feelings for Alexandra. She stepped aside from Faith. In front of us is a red wine that is on the center table. Faith was next to Brandon. Faith is the drinker.

“Oh! I’m done. You’re next Brandon!” Faith exclaimed while laughing. Faith already gets drunk. What if they are all drunk? How can they go home? Rhianna looked at Alexandra caressing Harold’s hair. She doesn’t look drunk like Harold, Faith, and Brandon.

“You’re not going to drink Alex?” She asked Alexandra. It’s better to call her Alex. Alexandra is too long.

“No. I’m allergic to alcohol.” anito.

“Oh. What if they’re drunk?” she asked. They can’t go home if they were drunk. Accidents possibly happen to them.

“There are two more rooms on the side. We can sleep there. And, Alexandra will take care of us.” Harold answered. She nodded at what Harold said. She couldn’t help but admire Alexandra. She is very smart.

“Where is Leo?” Alexandra asked.

“He’s still out. Shall I call him?” Rhianna answered.

“Yes, call him to join us. I can’t allow him not to get drunk while we already get drunk.” Harold said as he drank the wine from the glass he was holding. He’s drunk already. Maybe they’ve been drinking for a couple of hours.

“Okay. I’ll) go ahead and convoke him.” Rhianna said and stood up. She exited Head Quarters and headed to the parking lot to look at Leo. She was close to the parking lot when Rhianna heard someone talking.

“Please Leo. Come back to me. You still love me, don’t you? I know that you only feel attraction for Rhianna.” she says in a pleading voice. She’s on the side of HQ so they can’t see her.

“I don’t love you anymore, Carmela. So stop this bullshit! Because it’s not good for you and me.” Leo said in a cold voice.

“Then let me kiss you.” Carmela said and in a couple of seconds, Carmela kissed Leo. Leo touched Carmela’s cheek that maybe he liked what Carmela doing to him. Se covered her mouth with his hand to prevent herself from inhalation. Because of what she witnessed, she left where she was standing and headed inside the Head Quarters.

“Where’s Leo Rhi, we’re drunk while he’s not yet,” Harold said with a growl. She did not speak. She opened a beer that was on the side of the center table and took a glass that was on the table and filled it with beer and without hesitation, I drank it. It’s up to her if she wants to get drunk. Even just now. She wants the pain she was feeling right now will vanish.

Leonardo’sPOV

Leo never thought that Carmela would suddenly kiss him. But even before she kissed him, Leo saw Rhianna out of the corner of his eyes in the side of the HQ. F*ck! What’s she doing here. Because his attention was focused on Rhianna. Leo didn’t realize that Carmela had already applied their lips. Leo touched Carmela’s cheek and parted from kissing him.

“Carmela. Fix yourself! If you do that again. I’ll terminate you here in the group!” He shouted because of anger. Leo was simmering with anger. Where Rhianna and Leo are okay. Carmela is here again and she is destroying them. Leo can no longer allow her to destroy anything between Rhianna and him.

“Leo, why? Why can’t I get your heart.” she asked and burst into tears in front of him.

“We’re done, Carmela. You’re the one who betrayed me way back in college, and our relationship ends there. Maybe, we’re not for each other. You will find the one for you and it’s not me. Move on and forget me. Don’t push yourself on me because we won’t be together anymore.” Leo said and left her crying.

Leo doesn’t care if he hurts Carmela. He wants to be true to how he feels. He headed inside the Head Quarters and was surprised because his comrades were already drunk. Leo was even more surprised when Rhianna’s face sank to the table. F*ck! Why is she getting drunk?

Suddenly what happened earlier came to his mind. Isn’t that the reason why she’s drunk? el stared at her red face. He closed his eyes because of the repentance he did to Rhianna. But, before she could step in Alexandra came out of the door not far from him.

“Agent Leo. They’ll sleep here. They’re drunk.” she said and then approached Harold and took him on his shoulders.

“It’s amazing that Rhianna didn’t want to drink when Harold offers him. Then she just went outside and came back here, and drink two bottles of beer. What happened outside, Leo?” Alexandra asked him.

“Nothing, Alexandra. I’ll go first, Alex. You take care of them.” Leo answers and he took Rhianna out of Head Quarters in a hurry.

They were close to the parking lot where Leo’s car was parked when Rhianna spoke.

“Let go of me, Leo. Goodbye! You kissed me, but you kissed someone else! You’re a traitor!” she said in a drunken voice. Leo ignored her. Alcohol’s effects are different. A woman becomes brave.

Leo put Alexandra in the passenger seat and adjusted the seat belt. He went to the driver’s seat. When she get in, Rhianna was asleep. Leo gently stroked her cheek. Why are you so beautiful? Leo doesn’t know if he can even say and express how he feels to Rhianna after what happened. He heaves a deep sigh. He face the steering wheel and drove to the apartment with confusion in his mind.
