Chapter 21
Chapter 21 Please Behave
Nigel held out a hand to stop him. “Please behave yourself, Mr. Cedric.”
Cedric stopped walking and said, “Or what?”
An SUV pulled up, and five men emerged, surrounding Nigel and his car. He was quickly overpowered.
“Cedric, why the hell did you hit my car? You and Maia are divorced now, remember? She’s not your wife anymore!” Cedric paid him no attention. With a half-smile, he opened the rear door and said, “Get out of the car.”
He spoke harshly to her, like he used to. She knew he was only nice to her for one night.
The cold wind swept inside the car. Maya pursed her lips and decided not to drag Nigel into this. She took a deep breath and did as she was told.
“Maia, stay in the car!” Nigel tried to push the bodyguards off him, but he was no match for so many trained individuals. With a gentle smile, Maia said, “It's okay, Nigel. I'll handle this. Please wait for me at the airport, okay?”
She knew Nigel cared about her, but she did not want anything bad to happen to him. Someone as influential as Cedric could hurt his career as a lawyer.
“Maia...”
She remained smiling. “I'll see you later, Nigel.”
“Are you done?” Cedric asked with raised brows.Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
He grabbed Maia by the wrist and pulled her to the Bentley before she could break free.
Maia felt as if her wrist was about to be crushed. “What are you doing, Cedric? Let me go!” Cedric shoved her into the car and slammed it shut. Pinning her to the back seat, he kissed her lips.
“What the hell are you doing? Help-”
Her eyes widened as he kissed her so hard that she could not speak.
Maia tried to push him off, but he grabbed her hands and pinned them over her head. She was powerless against him. 1/2
Her body was stuck between him and the seat, making it hard for her to move.
He kissed her ever more passionately.
The chauffeur lowered his head while seated at the wheel, pretending not to notice. Then Cedric’s ley voice was heard. “Drive.”
“Yes, sir,” the chauffeur answered as he turned the car around.
Shortly after, the privacy divider was raised, making the atmosphere awkward. Maia’s hair was disheveled, and her lips were slightly swollen.
“What did he take me for? Someone he could push anytime he wants?”
Her voice was shaky as she clutched the helm of her blouse. ‘Didn’t | tell you yesterday that I’d leave you alone? What the hell is this?”
