Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Gracia watched it as Brian’s car taillights vanished around the corner before she reluctantly turned
away. She glanced at the box that housed a giant, six or seven–carat pink diamond and frowned in
annoyance.
What she wanted wasn’t a flawless diamond but Brian.
“I told you Brian wouldn’t forget your gift. He must have just slipped up!” Lydia exclaimed beside her,
thrilled.
It was Gracia’s twentieth birthday, and Brian had graced her party with his presence, a significant social
coup for her. After having a few cocktails, she’d hoped to get closer to him in the buzz of the
celebration. But then Natalie had appeared.
“So what? He’s probably rushing off to Natalie now!” Gracia complained irritably.
The forgotten birthday gift seemed like a minor oversight compared to the evening’s debacle.
What was there to be happy about? Even a diamond worth millions of dollars couldn’t mask the sting of
humiliation that hit her harder than a slap in the face.
One hour later, Brian cradled the sleeping Nate in his arms at the hotel, frowning at the empty room
before him.
“I just went down to the garage to grab a medicine, and she’s gone,” the family doctor said, shrugging
helplessly.
“The surveillance footage?” Brian asked in a low voice.
“The footage from before and after she vanished got hacked. We couldn’t find anything.” at bodyguard
replied, his voice trembling.
“Useless!” Brian growled.
A person couldn’t just disappear into thin air.
Suddenly, he remembered Natalie had made a distress call to someone right before the incident. That
person had rescued her.
He was curious to know who dared to help her secretly.
His aura was terrifyingly low as he carried Nate downstairs, followed by a silent entourage.
Just as he got into the car, Reid, sitting in the front, looked back at Brian hesitantly. NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
“Spit it out,” Brian snapped, his brow furrowed.
“Mr. Howard, we’ve got something.”
“The techniques used to hack the WL Center Building match those of an overseas hacker

known as ‘FireWing.‘ It’s almost certainly him!”
“Find him.” Brian ordered after a moment’s thought. “Offer ten times the usual rate.”
The WL Center Building’s firewall was among the most advanced globally, never before breached. But
this ‘FireWing‘ had hacked their system in minutes, causing a security breach.
If the enemy employed FireWing using such despicable tactics, he would find FireWing and fight fire
with fire.
Reid added, “We’ve also received word that FireWing might make a deal at The Aerie recently. His visa
card was used there ten minutes ago.”
Brian’s eyes narrowed slightly, and he replied softly. “Head there now.”
The Aerie was Streamville’s most elite club, where the wealthy and influential mingled. Yet, few knew
that the owner of The Aerie was the heir to the Moore family, Max Moore, who was also
Natalie’s mentor.
Moments ago, Natalie awoke with a splitting headache, her mind emerging from chaos.
Seeing her stir, a servant from The Aerie expressed surprise, “You’re awake!”
“How did I get here?” Natalie looked around, pressing her temples as she spoke softly.
