Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 15

Chapter 15

Anastasia still did not reply to Alastor.

“I should not be the only one going crazy,” she thought.

She had called Alastor many times previously, but he never answered. Hence, she thought that she would return the favor.

Since Anastasia did not reply, Alastor called her.

Anastasia did not pick up either.

“Annie… What are your thoughts on this? Why don’t you divorce?” Kimberly was a little afraid of Anastasia’s current state.

She was not afraid of Alastor, but she feared that Anastasia could not take it.

“Will Jason’s birthday party be very lively?” Anastasia asked with a smile, but her voice choked.

Tears were obviously streaming down her cheeks, and smiling at this point made her look worse than crying openly.

“Yes…” Kimberly nodded.

“Let’s go out and pick another gift.”

Anastasia and Kimberly went out and bought a man’s tie in a nearby shopping mall.

“Is this for Jason?” Kimberly asked.

Anastasia did not say anything. She actually wanted to anger Alastor deliberately.

“How’s this for giving him a taste of his own medicine? I must seem quite ridiculous,” Anastasia mockingly thought to

herself.

“Anastasia, it’s okay if you want to anger Alastor deliberately. But Jason never accepts gifts from girls. Everyone in our class

knows that.”

Anastasia did not say anything. She did not intend to give Jason a present–it was just a coincidence.

Over the years, Alastor’s ties were all chosen by Anastasia. With her background in fine arts, her taste and aesthetic sense. aligned with Alastor’s very well.

Before finding out that Alastor cheated, Anastasia was very happy and thought that she and Alastor were definitely the most compatible and exemplary couple.

“What a pity.” Anastasia thought.

“Happy birthday!” Kimberly took Anastasia to Jason’s house. It was very lively inside, and soon many classmates arrived.

“Who’s this pretty lady? Kimberly, why don’t you introduce her to me?”

A man had already come over enthusiastically.

“This is my best friend, Anastasia.”

Anastasia smiled at everyone before her gaze fell on Jason by the window.

He was holding the guitar and strumming the strings lightly.

She had to admit that Jason and Alastor were two completely different types of men.

“Here’s your gift! Since Clusians don’t have the habit of visiting one’s house empty–handed,” Anastasia said as she handed the gift to Jason.

Jason took the gift with a smile. “Thank you.”

A female classmate standing at the side screamed, “Oh my gosh, Jason actually accepted a girl’s gift!”

Kimberly was also stunned. It was the first time Jason broke his own rules.

On the other hand, Anastasia did not think much of it. After all, he had helped her a lot that day, and she was simply returning the favor so that they would not owe each other.

“Hey, pretty lady. Do you drink?”

Anastasia was extremely beautiful. She possessed the type of beauty that radiated an aura of quiet intelligence and cool. elegance, reminiscent of the glow of moonlight.

Anastasia’s beauty seemed to exude a cold and aloof air as if it was written in her bones that others should not go near her.

In Kimberly’s words, Anastasia’s face seemed to spell out three words, “I am frigid.”

It seemed as though no one was allowed to approach her.

“Sure.” Anastasia smiled and took the wine from the man.

She wanted to drink, even though she knew that she was pregnant.

Anastasia looked down at her stomach and knew that she should not keep the baby.

She could not keep it either.

With her body in such a condition, how could she give birth to the baby?

Anastasia was about to drink when the cup was taken away from her hand.

She turned around in surprise and, to her astonishment, found that Jason was the one who took her wine glass.

Raising his chin. Jason finished the glass of wine in one smooth motion. With a low voice laced with warning, he said, “Adults. should be responsible for their actions.”

He was warning Anastasia to be responsible for the baby in her womb.

“Teh Anastasia let out a mocking laugh.

“It seems like I’m being lectured everywhere I go,” she thought.

Sensing that the atmosphere was not right, Kimberly hurriedly tried to liven it up. “You should drink fruit juice, fruit juice!

I’ll drink the wine!”

The others did not think too much either and continued to enjoy themselves.

The room was dimly lit, and everyone was creating a camp–like atmosphere.

Having many things on her mind. Anastasia seemed out of place with everyone else.

Anastasia got up and walked out of the living room. She stood on the terrace, looking out at Pollerton’s night scene.

Alastor had called several times again, but Anastasia did not answer. Hence, he stopped calling and simply sent a message: [Anastasia, let’s divorce.]

Ultimately, Anastasia received a message from Alastor asking her to divorce before she returned home.

“What is this? Is he flying into a rage out of humiliation? Have I not been obedient enough for the past four years?” Anastasia wondered.

Sneering, Anastasia took a picture of the banquet and wanted to post it on Instagram.

“Do you think posting this picture will achieve the effect that you want?” Jason said in a melodious voice as he leaned against the door frame. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

Wanting to trigger Alastor with the picture was a childish act on Anastasia’s part.
