Chapter 6 Exceptionally Harmonious
Chapter 6 Exceptionally Harmonious
Susan drank half a bottle of red wine to make herself drowsy and then fall asleep.
In the middle of the night, she felt that there was some movement in the room. She wanted to turn to
look but was too lazy to open her eyes. She could hear the sound of the showers from the bathroom.
When the water stopped, she saw a tall man standing in front of her.
At this moment, Susan opened her eyes slightly and muttered, “Hubby.”
Edward bent down and carried Susan from the sofa. He detected the smell of alcohol in her breath and
asked, “Why did you drink so much? Is something troubling you?”
Susan waved her hand and forced a smile for Edward, “Why will I have anything bothering me? My Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
husband dotes on me, my hubby is Edward, why do I have any troubles? I’m happy! Happy!”
After she said, she wanted to kiss him.
She was in Edward’s embrace but still wanted to struggle. Though she couldn’t stand up, she became
closer and closer to Edward’s body. The grinding of their skin caused both of them to be aroused.
Edward placed Susan on the bed and took off her clothes and made love to her.
Because Susan was drunk, she went with whatever he wanted but tonight she was both forthcoming
and yet insatiable, causing Edward to be even more aroused. From the time they were married, they
had been very harmonious regarding sex. Though it was not their first time, Susan appeared to be shy
like it was her first time.
Thereafter, perhaps it was under the guidance of Edward or Susan’s willingness to accommodate, the
two of them became intimate like a real married couple. Except that they had this tacit agreement that
neither would try to know more about their respective activities outside of this ‘home’.
Edward didn’t know about Susan’s past and Susan was not bothered by Edward’s scandals. She
strictly abided by her role as his secretary during the day and became his beloved wife at night.
…
The next day, Susan woke up and saw the perfect face sleeping beside her. She felt sore all over her
body and realized what happened last night. She had some memory loss and couldn’t recall some of
the details… how many times did they do it to cause her to be so sore all over? Did this man want to
squeeze himself dry?
Susan laughed helplessly, got up, and went to the bathroom. Edward was awake by the time she came
out of the bathroom. He grinned and looked at Susan from head to toe.
“Why did you drink so much last night?”
“My hubby went out with another woman, I’m … I’m a woman, so I will get jealous,” Susan answered
Edward superficially but she appeared to be very sincere.
Edward laughed and brought Susan into his embrace, stroked her hair before releasing her, and
walked to the bathroom.
“I will have to buy a lottery If you really were jealous, then I’m sure I’ll strike the jackpot!”
Susan looked at Edward close the bathroom door before easing her smile. Was it so rare for her to be
jealous that made him want to buy a lottery? Did it mean that she should be jealous more often to boost
her husband’s self-confidence?
Susan shook her head helplessly. What was she thinking…? She didn’t know what was going on as
they got closer to the time for their divorce, she felt that Edward was increasingly flirtatious with her.
No way, she had to control herself.
When they reached the office, she got out of Edward’s car to avoid causing suspicion. She used the
common lift and punched in as she entered the office. She then realized that something was amiss at
the office.
It was strangely quiet…
In the past, the colleagues would be drinking coffee and gossip about the director at this time! What
happened today?
As she went to her work area, the new assistant secretary nudged her arm to point out to her…
She raised her head and saw a woman in the reception area. She was tall and had the figure of a
supermodel. Her elegance, composure and look when she turned around showed that … this woman
was very different compared to the cheap women Edward had in the past.
Coincidentally when the woman turned around, she looked directly at Susan and they exchanged
looks.
The woman stood up and walked towards Susan.
