Vampire University

Chapter 20 Offering

Carl Demon’s Point of View

“Raze, press my watch.” I ordered him.

“Why would I do that?” He doubted his question.

“Just do it.”

So when he pressed the watch, there was a blue energy around us.

It is an energy that can afford the cultivation of black magic.

“Let’s go and find Hailey.” I said.All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.

“No. Are you thinking? ” I looked at him.

“If we rush there without a plan, I’m sure Hailey will only be more doomed.”

“What do you want me to do?”

“We need to make a plan.” He suggested.

“The Dark Monsters took her.” I says.

“Hailey is the one they will offer to bring their king back to life.” He said.

“The Dark Monsters are now under Vampire University, so they no longer have the right to do that.” I insisted.

“Are you joking?” He asked teasingly.

“Even when Vampire University has already conquered the Dark Monsters, they will work out a way to resurrect and build their kingdom again.”

I was about to punch him with my fist, but he stopped me.

“It won’t help if you send in anger. Do you want her to be saved or for Hailey to be the offering? ”

So I lowered my fist. I kicked the piece of rock.

“Right. Dark monsters are afraid of crystal light.” I told him.

“It’s good that your brain is working.” He said in a teasing tone.

“What do you think of me being brainless?” I said annoyed.

“Let’s just find the crystal of light before everyone gets caught.” He changed the topic.

“It’s my idea and not yours.” I walked ahead of him and put my hand in my pocket.

I won’t let you be the offering, Hailey. I made a mistake once, so I won’t let it happen again now.

Just wait for me. Be strong, Hailey. We will come to you and we will rescue you.

“I can already feel the energy of the crystal light.” I declared.

I noticed something glowing stuck to the rock, so I immediately approached it.

Before I could even touch it, an old woman held my hand.

She was wearing a long white dress and holding a cane.

“I need the crystal light.” I said.

“You can’t get that without my permission.” She said

“Give me the crystal light. I really need it. ” My humility

He pulled out a white knife. He cut my palm and looked at me again.

“You proved to me that your love for her is real.” My eyebrows met.

“You’re ready to dedicate yourself to Hailey.”

I was surprised because she knew Hailey’s name.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“You let me cut your palm to get the crystal light to save the life of the woman you cherished the most.” I smiled at her.

“You’ve done enough to get the crystal. Stop the woman you love to be the offering. ” She said this and slowly disappeared.

I picked up the crystal light and we left that place.

I looked at my palm. The cut was gone and it was no longer bleeding.

Only one test was given to me by the old woman.

Hailey, you will no longer be an offering. We will save you.

Hailey’s Point of View

I woke up when someone poured cold water on my body.

“Wake up.” The monster said.

He called for two monsters and grabbed my arm.

“It’s time for me to offer you.” He said.

They took me to a very hot place. There is a statue that glows.

While in the middle, there is a star drawn and it shines red.

He ordered the two monsters to lay me down on the star.

They chained my hands and feet so that I could not escape.

I felt my back heat up.

He drove the two monsters away, so we’re just the two of us here.

He kneeled before the statue. He was saying words I could not understand.

Until he pulled out a knife and approached me.

He cut my palm. He caught my blood with his hands and poured it on the statue.

His eyes were blazing, but the statue had faded.

“What’s happening?” He was confused.

“Why not work?” He asked.

“You’re a human, but why not work?”

“The ritual of sacrifice will only work if the blood flowing in your body is human blood.” He says.

“There was something wrong with what I did. I should have stabbed the knife in your stomach and not in your palm. ” He continued.

He approached me again. He was about to stab the knife, but he stopped.

There was blood flowing from his mouth. I looked behind him.

Demon and Raze were holding a glowing object, which I noticed.

They ran towards me and removed the lifeless body of this monster on top of me.

“I’m not dead yet.” The monster said.

He was about to stab me with the knife, but Raze backed away. Demon placed the crystal on the chest of the monster that killed him.

Raze, on the other hand, was bleeding from his hand, so I touched it.

“It’s all my fault.” I blamed myself.

“Don’t blame yourself.” Demon said.

“I’ve been weak.” I said.

“You have been strong because even when you were in the midst of danger, you did not show fear.” Demon says.

We have left the place of monsters. We continued walking because we needed to find the old hermit.

“Have you not yet felt the presence of the old hermit?” I asked them.

“No. But it’s possible we’re close to where he is because he has the ability to hide his presence. ” Raze says.

I looked at his hand. I took the handkerchief that was in my pocket.

“Give me your hand.” I ordered.

He shook his head in response, that he did not consent.

I still took his hand and wrapped it with my handkerchief.

He immediately withdrew his hand.

“You’re the one who’s helping. You’re still mad at me. ” I said bitterly and rolled my eyes.

“Did I ask you to help me?” He asked philosophically.

“Just be thankful instead of scolding me.” I said irritatedly.
