Under the Heiress' Facade

Chapter 631

Philip was furious by the backlash they received online. "Marcus!"

His roar summoned Marcus upstairs.

"What's going on? Are you still a child? How could you do something so childish in the operating room!" Philip threw the iPad at Marcus. Marcus, who had been playing games, was completely unaware of the news online and was dumbfounded to see it.

How could Silverleaf Hospital release this video? Normally, such material wouldn't be released. It had to be Hera's doing! She was avenging him for not lending her the operating room previously!

Marcus gritted his teeth at this thought but refused to admit it. "Dad, it wasn't me! They're accusing me!"

However, Silverleaf Hospital's official Twitter account issued an apology letter, addressing the improper conduct in the operating room and promising to be more strict with the observers in the future. They also praised the head surgeon's composure, noting that the surgery was not affected by the incident.

Although the apology did not name anyone, the onlookers were not stupid.

Coupled with the news from a while ago about the miracle doctor performing surgery on Harvey at Silverleaf Hospital, where it was mentioned that the miracle doctor allowed a group of doctors to observe, the hospital's official announcement almost screamed that Marcus was the one who pushed people in the operating room.

Marcus couldn't deny it even if he wanted to. Philip wasn't a fool either and could recognize his son's eyes. "Your sister was foolish. Are you imitating her?"

"I think you're all stupid!" a roar sounded.

Philip and Marcus turned around with a grim look. Augustus had returned.

"Dad," greeted Philip.

"Grandpa," muttered Marcus.

"I've only been gone for a while! Are you trying to mess things up?" Augustus handed his luggage to a maid before storming into the living room.

"What's all this shouting? Don't come back if you hate this house so much!" Priscilla came downstairs with the help of a maid.

Augustus ignored her and

questioned Philip, "What's this nonsense about biological and adopted daughters? Whose idea was this? Are you trying to bring down the Chime family!"

Priscilla was annoyed with being ignored. "I came up with it! Are you going to drive me out of the Chime family?"

Augustus choked out the words, "What a stupid idea!"

"Even if it was a stupid idea, it's better than leaving the family to avoid trouble! Weren't you with your old flame?" Priscilla retorted.

"I was attending the international

medical research conference!"

Augustus explained. "Are you ever going to stop? Why are you always bringing up the past? Let's get a divorce since you feel you can't live with it!"

It was Priscilla's turn to be stunned. She looked at Augustus in disbelief. They had argued all their lives, and he had never mentioned divorée. Was he thinking of rekindling his old relationship? NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

Sensing the gravity of the situation, Philip brought a glass of water to Augustus. "Dad, calm down. Have some water."

Marcus was also shocked by Augustus mentioning divorce. "Grandpa, please don't get upset."

Augustus drank the water to calm down.

"Fine, I won't bring it up again. So, what do you plan to do now?" Priscilla swallowed her anger.

Divorce was not an option for her. She intended to hold onto being Augustus' wife and make Catherine jealous forever.

"Go apologize to Hera and ask for her forgiveness," Augustus said sternly.
