Chapter 184 Test Him
Chapter 184 Test Him
Kara ran back to her room in wrath, feeling that James was too polite.
He hadn't even proposed to her, yet he had made her his wife for no reason.
The engagement party was a joke. So was the signing ceremony of the marriage contract.

Seeing the little girl leave in a fit of madness, James frowned slightly, feeling unhappy himself.
"Does she feel so unhappy to marry me?" wondered he.
When it was dinner time, Libby went upstairs to call them, only to find James and Kara were in a bad
mood. It perplexed Libby a lot.
They both put on a face on the first day of their marriage!
"Mrs. Hemming, these are the dishes that you like. Help yourself!" Libby stood by the table and felt
worried.
James rarely spoke and had no interest in explaining in some cases. He was not a person easy to get
along with.
As a meticulous person, Kara felt somewhat unconfident in front of James.
Moreover, she wasn't talkative. Judging from her sullen expression, obviously, Kara was angered by
James.
Libby was worried about whether they could live happily together.
Hearing Libby's words, Kara cleared up a little.
"Libby, you are a good cook. I like these dishes!" Kara smiled.
"I'm glad to hear that." Libby felt happy when she saw Kara smiled.
When James saw Kara chatting and laughing with Libby while cold-shouldering him, he was dark-
faced.
"Little fool, you should dare to be angry with me. I'll teach you a lesson!" James thought to himself.
"Libby, this one is salty. That one is insipid. Take them away!"
Kara raised her head to look at the dishes that the man pointed at. Both were to her taste. Kara glared
at him angrily.
"I think they're yummy. Libby, you don't have to take them away."
Libby stared at them, not knowing what to do.
"Libby, who is your boss?" James glanced at Libby with his brown eyes being cold.
Libby was helpless and did as he asked quickly.
"OK, I'll remove it now!"
Kara reached out, trying to stop Libby, but Libby shrugged at her helplessly.
As she was paid by James, she had to listen to his order.
Kara bit her lower lip angrily and scolded, "James, you are being unreasonable."
"Really? James sneered and ate his meal calmly.
As James was a well-bred and handsome man, elegance was captured in his behavior.
Watching him eating was pleasing to the eye, but at this moment, Kara was so angry that she wanted
to hit him.
"I'm full." Kara put down the fork and stood up.
James shouted coldly, "Stop!
"Libby spent so long a time to cook these dishes. Are you going to waste them?"
Kara pursed her lips, trying to suppress her anger, and sat down.
Kara ate half of the food on the table as if venting her anger.
Finishing her meals, she didn't say a word with him and turned around to go upstairs.
Kara picked up her phone and saw a WeChat message from Arya when she went back to her
bedroom.
She placed Arya's account on the top to see her message in time.
"I have many classes these days. How about you?"
Kara bit her finger and reclined on the couch, throwing a voice call to her. She told Arya about the
marriage.
"What? Mr. James signed a marriage agreement with you? That is almost the same as getting a
marriage certificate!"
Arya was surprised.
"Yes, I was surprised too. I thought that James had someone he loved. I was angry for a while, and
when I came out of his office, he told me about it!"
Kara complained.
"Are you happy?"
Kara twitched her mouth as Arya didn't get what she wanted to express.
"Wow, Mr. James is awesome!" Arya sighed for a while before asking her seriously.
"Did James say he loves you?"
"No!" This was what Kara was most angry about.
"Then why did he marry you?"
Arya thought that James liked her, and that was why he signed the marriage agreement with her.
"He said that I'm the first girl who had sex with him, so I must be responsible to him."
"What did you say? You're his first girl!"
Arya laughed out loud, and it took a while for her to stop laughing.
Arya thought James wasn't gay and told her directly.
"Now that he had sex with you, he isn't gay. Don't be paranoid. Kara, as an artist, you're good at wild
thinking."
Words failed Kara.
"What a good friend!" thought Kara.
They joked for a while, and suddenly Arya put on an earnest expression.
"Kara, considering Mr. James's influence, it is impossible for him to take his marriage as a joke under
threat. It is definitely his own will to marry you."
After a pause, Arya lowered her voice and said softly, "Kara, do you like Mr. James?"
"I don't know."
Kara was lying on the sofa, looking at the moonlight through the window. Her big eyes were full of
confusion.
If James was her elder, she would like him.
But Kara did not even know how it felt like to love someone. So, she didn't know whether she had
feelings for James.
"Arya, how did you know you have feelings for your cousin?"
Arya did not hide it from Kara and shared it with her after a few seconds.
"Well, I just felt uncomfortable when he got close to other women. It was out of jealousy. I don't like him
being special to other women. I don't like him ignoring me..."
Kara listened to Arya quietly and thought about it herself seriously. Suddenly, she was shocked.
It was how she felt when she was with James.
"Do I love James?" Kara wondered.
"Kara, it's not shameful to like someone. You are James's wife now. If he doesn't like you, you should
go for it!"
Kara was stunned. "Me?"
Suddenly, someone was knocking at the door.
Kara jumped in shock.
Standing by the door, she took two deep breaths before opening the door slowly.
It was not James. Kara let out a sigh of relief.
"Mrs. Hemming, what's wrong?" Libby looked at her blushing cheeks and was puzzled.
"I'm fine. Libby, what's the matter?" Kara coughed guiltily.
"You have run out of your shampoo. Here you are."
Libby was holding a small basket in her hand. There were toothpaste, shampoo, and several towels.
"Give it to me."
Kara wanted to take the small basket but was stopped by Libby.
"Mrs. Hemming, allow me!" Libby smiled and walked into her room to the bathroom.
Kara frowned and was about to follow Libby to the bathroom when she heard a WeChat reminder. She
turned around to fetch her phone.
"Kara, you have to make up your mind. Since you are married to Mr. James, if you like him, you must
seize the opportunity.
"If you try hard but find that you don't love him, then divorce him and never see him again."
Kara raised her lower jaw with her hands and pondered deeply, "If I don't like him, I should leave him
as soon as possible."
Maybe Kara could give it a shot.
"How to test him?"
"Test him in your room!" Arya said spontaneously.
"Judging from Mr. James's self-controlling ability, he will only touch the woman he likes."
Libby, who came out of the bathroom, stopped her steps when she heard Arya's words. She looked at
Kara in surprise.
Kara turned her head and met Libby's gaze. Her face flushed.
"Libby, it's not what you think."
"Mrs. Hemming, I didn't think about anything!" Libby smiled.
When Libby reached the door, she smiled and turned around. "Mrs. Hemming, tonight is the wedding
night between you and Mr. James. I wish you two to love each other forever and have children early."
Words failed Kara.
She felt embarrassed.
