Trapped pregnant with a Billionaire child

fake marriage

Arabella then patted Letta’s shoulder before returning to her friendly demeanor as Marco approached them.

“Getting along well, I see?” Marco said, prompting Arabella to straighten up and draw closer to him. With ease, Arabella wrapped her arm around Marco’s, and he didn’t mind at all.

“Of course, I have to get close to her. Isn’t that a good thing?” Arabella said, smiling sweetly at Marco, who then extended his hand. He stroked Arabella’s cheek, causing Letta to glance at those around them.

People were still busy with the party, but Letta was sure someone among them must know about their current situation. Watching her husband being affectionate with his own fiancee, Letta couldn’t help but ponder. What was really happening to her now? Was this really a contractual marriage that allowed Marco to keep his fiancee? What about her own fate and that of her future child, making Letta blink rapidly. Somehow, just imagining her child’s fate made Letta feel suffocated. Even her face started to pale, sweat dampening her temples as something terrible might happen to her unborn child.

“Sorry, I need to go to the restroom for a moment,” Letta said hesitantly, interrupting the conversation between Marco and Arabella.

“Are you alright?” Marco asked, but Letta didn’t respond at all. She just turned around, lifted her dress slightly, and swiftly made her way into the large house she occupied, leaving Marco gazing worriedly at her small back, not unnoticed by Arabella.

“Why?” asked Arabella.

“It’s nothing, I just saw her looking a bit pale,” Marco said, causing Arabella to shrug.

“Maybe she’s just a bit tired, you know, considering you’ve both been standing for a while,” Arabella said, making Marco realize Letta hadn’t eaten anything. Marco eventually called Desi over.

“Letta just went in and said she’ll go to the toilet. Make sure she eats something before she returns to the garden,” Marco said, prompting Desi to nod before going after Letta.

“You seem to care about her?” Arabella asked.

“Of course, it’s for the sake of the child she’s carrying, isn’t it? And that’s not too much to ask,” Marco said. He then returned to conversing and approaching their family members who were still talking to each other. Meanwhile, Letta, for some reason, found it hard to breathe. She looked at the large mirror in the bathroom, seeing her own reflection looking terribly pale.

Why hadn’t Letta realized her situation now? Didn’t Marco plan all of this meticulously? If Arabella hadn’t reproached her earlier, perhaps Letta wouldn’t have known that the fake marriage she was enduring would have dire consequences for the child she carried. For some reason, her breath became even heavier, and Letta couldn’t bear the weight on her body any longer. Letta gripped the nearby sink until a knock made her look towards the bathroom door not far from her.

“Madam, are you in there?” someone asked from the other side, letting Letta know it was Desi. Letta quickly turned on the tap, causing the sound of water to ripple through the room.

“I’ll wait outside,” Desi said, seeming to understand that Letta was inside. Letta could only hold back her sobs. For some reason, even though their marriage had just taken place a few hours ago, Letta was already enduring this pain. Had Marco planned to confine her in this grand palace all along? Was it intentional, not just for the safety of the fetus and herself, but part of his plan from the beginning? Would Marco eventually snatch this baby from her too, Letta wondered, until she could only sit on the cold floor. The gown she had been wearing only made Letta feel even more suffocated. She released the hairpin from her hair, and let the accessories she was wearing lay scattered on the floor.

Letta berated herself. How could she be so foolish as to accept anything Marco gave her? Letta thought she could still accept Marco’s kindness because she was the mother of his child, but it turned out Marco wasn’t as good as Letta had thought. Eventually, another knock sounded as Desi called Letta again.Property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“Madam, are you still inside? Do you need my help?” Desi asked, making Letta roughly wipe her tears away.

“I’ll be out in a few minutes,” Letta said, trying to steady her voice. Letta then stood up with some difficulty before finally stepping out of the bathroom, leaving her accessories scattered on the bathroom floor. When the bathroom door opened, Desi was slightly taken aback by Letta’s deteriorating condition.

“What happened? Did you fall or are you feeling unwell?” Desi asked, noticing Letta’s disheveled appearance. Letta’s hair was now disheveled as usual, and her dress looked slightly damp at the hem. Letta had even taken off her shoes, leaving them behind in the bathroom.

“Tell them that I want to rest in my room. They can finish the party themselves. Besides, the main event is over,” Letta said, as Desi was about to reply, but Letta left without waiting. Letta swiftly made her way to the main hall before heading to the second floor where her room was located. Desi immediately rushed into the bathroom, picking up Letta’s shoes and some of her belongings. Looking at Letta now on the second floor, Desi was sure something had happened to her, prompting her to quickly move and inform Marco about everything.

Desi returned to the garden and noticed Marco engrossed in conversation with other family members, who seemed to acknowledge Desi’s arrival.

“How is it, have you taken care of Letta?” Marco asked, to which Desi nodded.

“So, where is she?” they asked again.

“Madam mentioned that she was a bit tired and chose to rest in her room. She also said that you don’t need to rush back inside. You can enjoy the party,” Desi said, causing Marco to furrow his brow.

“Are you sure she’s okay?” Marco asked, to which Desi nodded again.

“Alright, then let her rest, but make sure she’s doing well. I don’t want anything bad to happen to her, you know, given her recent frail condition,” Marco said, prompting Desi to nod. Desi then decided to head back inside the house.

Deliberately, Desi chose not to disclose what had happened to Letta, not wanting to exacerbate their situation. Desi was starting to grasp their current situation and didn’t want Letta to be further distressed by her current state. Desi looked towards the second floor and decided to fetch some food for Letta, sensing that Letta might need something to fill her stomach.
