The Wolf Who hated alphas

Chapter 26 – Call of Those Who Were.

Sera had read that the place changed people. That they were different people depending on the place.

She wondered if this was her case. And found that there was a good chance of that when she got out of the car.

Seeing her old house reminded her of memories. When that man was still there.

Her mind wandered to an unlikely possibility that he was still there and that after so long gone, he would return to haunt there.

A force of her own mind made her kneel on the ground. Her limbs trembled when she heard a noise coming from the trees.

Sera’s eyes widened in fear. Already hearing his voice and the noise of the belt cracking in his ear. Shaking even more, she shrank to the ground, expecting the worst. But, it does not come.

What Sera felt was a gentle touch on her back. Well, different from what she had received from that man.

“Sera, breathe. He can’t hurt you anymore.” – Karim, said softly.NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Sera took a deep breath, along with Karim. Inhaling and Exhaling. She calmed down, even though she was still trembling, those thoughts had vanished from her mind.

Karim helped her up and hugged her. Sera thought that at that moment, she had really changed. Before, it would be hard to allow a man to get that close. But Karim wasn’t just anyone.

Sera stopped trembling as she felt his scent. She was immersed in that smell until she heard a noise from the door being opened.

“I’m sorry. I’m someone really curious.” – Jae Hyun smiled.

Sera smiled and separated from Karim, they entered.

Karim, had been there before. But I had not seen the house from the inside. Cohen had forced his daughter to live. The Alpha shook hands, enraged.

However, he knew there was no point in being angry at someone dead. Karim took a deep breath and followed Sera and Jae Hyun.

The room where they were was small and dusty, full of old papers. He gave a small cough when Sera opened the window.

“The first time I came here, was when I found the note from Lady Cordelia.” – Sera wrote.

They kept looking and Sera ended up frustrated. There was nothing there. She threw the papers down in anger.

“There’s nothing useful here. I came to this dark place for nothing.”

“Your father was not dumb, Sera. He hid in this place for years. He was also very attached to his clan. I doubt that all the information was lost. Let’s keep looking.” – Jae Hyun comforted her.

They kept searching until Karim felt something different in one part of the floor, something hollow.

He soon removed that part of the floor, revealing many documents in addition to photos of the Cohen clan.

Sera soon read the papers. There was a lot of information about her clan. Like her parents’ marriage certificate.

There were some papers on the Cohen bloodline, but nothing to help them. However, she noticed something.

Two papers, one of them was a spell in an ancient language. She imagined it was something like that, because there were drawings of potions on the paper.

And the second was something old, torn and in it was a painting of someone she had seen. Mother was painted there, with a smile in all its glory.

The paper seemed to have been burned, however, Sera felt that there was no chance for such attempts.

She watched the paper, trying to find some clue that could help them. Until a voice pops into her head.

“So you’re finally here again, child.”

Sera fell when she heard Mother’s voice in front of her. The woman was close to her, with the same smile she remembered.

“Come on. I’ll show you something. Now, with your closest wolf. You can listen. Your parents stabbed me in the back, depriving you of your powers.” – she said angrily. “Now is the time for you to see.”

Sera stood up and followed her in a trance.

Karim tried to stop her, but Jae Hyun held his arm.

“Mother’s with her. Don’t get in the way.”

Sera followed the goddess outside. A few seconds later, she felt her body become faster and be taken beyond the forest.

Sera felt dizzy and almost did not recognize the place. However, after a few seconds she stood. The place was the same where she had passed to get to the city. And then she saw everything.

It had been a long time, but how could she have forgotten?

Sera fell on her knees on the rough ground, she looked at the ghost town and the forest and cried. Steps were heard and she saw people from her clan.

All were bloodied and with vague glances. Some had severed heads and other body parts. Sera felt nauseous just by looking.

“Traitor”. – they shouted in unison. “Traitor. The one who has affection for the one who killed us.” – Their voice increased even more. “Traitor.”

Sera found herself surrounded by people who were holding her. She could not speak or defend herself.

“It’s not that. It’s not his fault. The man of your clan is the monster here.”

“Traitor. You betrayed him. You betrayed our clan and love the one who killed us.”

Sera felt her blood boiling. How could they accuse her like that? She wanted to scream. Her voice did not come out. She tried several, but no results.

Even so, Sera stood up. Her brown eyes turned yellow and her wolf appeared beside her.

The animal howled and growled. And Sera felt her shared anger. She tried to speak and her voice came out, not her mouth, but her wolf’s.

“I’m not to blame here. How dare you blame me? I would rather die with you than suffer for years with the monster belonging to your clan.”

Her voice echoed loud and clear and all the dead were still.

“I am not to blame for your death. I never wished you dead. I wished that we were still a family and that someone of good heart of this clan was still alive.” Her wolf said and Sera could feel the tears running down her face.

“However, nothing happens as we wish. Karim is not to blame for anything. Much less me, who was the victim of years of a madman. Karim and I are destined and we can change the fate of our clans. You must forget the past and trust us to build the future. ”

At the end, there was only silence. All the angry faces became calm, the wounds became light and all disappeared. Sera fell again, exhausted.

“I’m proud of you, Sera. ” – she saw her mother, Ada, in front of her.

Ada smiled and touched her face, kissing her head. Sera cried. Wishing she was really there.

“I’m sorry, dear. I betrayed Mother and took her power. I left you helpless for so long. Forgive me.”

“It’s over, Mama. What matters is that I can defend myself now.”

She saw Ada’s smile before she disappeared. And Mother also smiled before leaving.

If she kept quiet for a few seconds, she wanted to have that contact for longer.

Everything was quiet until Sera heard Karim’s voice calling her.

He saw her and ran to hug her. She smiled and pressed his shirt. Sera knew they could change the future of their clans.

Upon returning to her old home, she passed by a place she wished to forget. A place that would haunt her forever and make her think those people might be right somehow.
