The Witches

Chapter 15: Grey Witch

Chapter 15: Grey Witch

I met with Margot the following day in front of the wand store. I don't have a wand yet and I'm starting

school in an hour which is a huge mistake because finding the perfect wand takes time.

I saw her approaching me and gave her a warm smile because she's always walking around with the

brightest smile. She hugged me and took my hand walked into the shop.

"Mr Dudgeon!" She called out and Jeff came to us.

"Hello, Margot. Who do you have with us today?"

"Jeff. This is Kelsey and she needs a wand stat,"

He grinned and gestured for us to follow him. He asked various questions to help us find the perfect

wand. Do I know how to use a wand? Do I want a light wand? Which tree should the wand be made of?

What magic do I want to do so that it can complement the wand?

Crazy questions. He took me took us to the centre of the shop, there was a table with wands perfect for

cooking but I couldn't keep my eyes off from the table. There was a beautiful wand that was so

disobedient. It didn't stand still, it floated on a cute tiny little whirlwind. I walked up to the glass that

contained those wands. Two were missing, three remained. I've never met Fire and Water but I'd love

to.

Margot walked up to me and I glared at her with a small grin. "Can I have the flowing one?"

Margot nodded her head and sighed. "I like the roses one. I've never seen a wand smell so lovely,"

Jeffrey walked up to us with a dark thick wand with a skinnier tip. He also looked at the three wands

and sighed, "it's unfortunate that they still haven't been found,"

"Rumour has it that they'll be found this year or next year because of the prediction of powerful witches

that will be arising,"

I touched the glass which made the whirlwind wand go nuts. I quickly removed my hand from the glass

and looked at Jeffrey with my apologetic eyes. "Sorry,"

"There's literally a sign," he told.

"I said sorry,"

He nodded his head.

"Why aren't these wands at their family's? Like how did these girls lose their wands?" Margot asked.

"The five of them went on a mission. Three died in battle. Their wands laid on the field and as the

keeper of wands it was my job to take the wands and keep them safe,"

Margot nodded her head, "makes sense. So the descendants don't even know their heritage,"

"Exactly. So how can they claim their wands if they don't know who they are? Here Kelsey, try this

wand,"

I took the wand from Jeff but couldn't stop looking at the whirlwind wand and sighed. This wand was as

pretty but it felt great in my hand nonetheless. I swung it and felt the power building up in the wand and

released it. A strong wind blew throughout the shop causing the other wands to blow all over. It was a

mess.

I looked at Jeffrey terrified. What have I done? "Jeffrey,"

He was furious. His cheeks turned bright red. He had to clean this mess up and it was my fault. Here

are about thousands upon thousands of wands and then he still has to sort them out via type. I'm such

an idiot.

"Just...leave...!" He instructed through gritted teeth.

Margot grabbed me by the arm and pulled me out of the shop. We walked a short distance before she

started bursting into tears. I just looked at her and grinned. "What?"

"That was incredible. What spell was that? I've never seen it before,"

I shrugged. I don't even remember if I did a spell. I just did it. It was the wand, I don't know why Jeffrey

is made at me for. We went to school where I received my schedule.

I made it to my first class. I was so excited I felt like I could just float away. I had nowhere to sit and saw

a tall brown girl sitting in the back of the room in the corner so I took a seat beside her.

She grinned when she saw me. I liked her instantly, her aura was beautiful. Warm, friendly, positive.

She is the kind of person that you'd want in your corner and something just drew me to her.

"I like your pink hair," she had the deepest, smoky, seductive voice I've ever heard mixed with a strong

accent. She pronounced all her vowels.

"Thanks. I love your accent,"

She giggled and shook her head. "I like YOUR accent. Where you from?"

"Australia. You?"

She took out her notebook, "Cape Town. I'm Tamzyn,"

That's a lovely name. I gave her a small smile, I wonder if we'll be friends, "Kelsey,"

The teacher entered the classroom and introduced herself, Mrs Thatcher and she lives on Meledsan,

always has and always will.

Between the lesson, Tamzyn and I spoke and got to know each other a little. She is from earth and this

is her first experience of everything magic. She says that she doesn't know anything and just randomly

chose subjects because she had to. I told her that it was my first time being blessed with magic and

that I moved into my mom's house. Mom passed away when I was just a few months old. Hers as well.

Her father died when she was four. Poor girl. She says she chose this class because she loves

everything plants and flowers which reminded me of my yard. She offered to fix my garden. I said no

because I know the mess it's in. She'll be at my house this weekend. So when she's made her mind up

it's very difficult to talk her out of a thing.

The rest of the day was wonderful. I spent interval with Tamzyn and her friend Aaliyah, they're so

friendly you have no idea.

I stood somewhere in the hallway in what looked like a castle, trying to remember how I got here. I

watched as students marched to the same direction flooding pass me.

Someone grabbed me by the arm and turned me the way the crowd was walking, "silly. We should be

going before we're late,"

Spoke an olive girl with huge brown eyes. She was flawless, her skin was smooth and there was not a

spot that could be seen. Her black hair hung loose passing her butt. She looked like a dream. She

grinned and gently pushed me to an assembly. Students sat down and waited. The stranger waved at

two girls and they made their way over to us.

"Kelsey," she told me. I wasn't surprised that she knew my name. Some witches are just more special

than others, "this is my sister Nightskai,"

She showed me a dark-skinned girl with a strong bone structure, it looked like she contoured but it was

all-natural. She had wavy black hair very voluminous and it kissed her elbows.

"And that's my baby sister, Ceira-kat,"

Ceira was lighter-skinned than them both and she had a rounder face than the two of them. She had an

orange bob with a thick fringe and a living black mamba curled around her neck. She had beautiful

round eyes that stood out against her small facial features like her small nose and lips.

"I'm Danica,"

I was surprised that she didn't have a crazy name, so I asked.

She giggled and shrugged. "You're going to have to ask my dad about it,"

I instantly noticed that she didn't mention her mom. "Why not your mom?"

They all looked at me, I knew that look. They lost her too. " My mother died when I was only three

months old,"

Danica placed her hand on mine and nodded her head, "mine as well,"

A god came out. I know this because I've seen him in many books at home and at school. He's a very

private god they say and the people that make it into his coven must have something special about

them because he doesn't accept just anyone. He says there are many covens, many who accept

average magic users. So why should he?

Ka-vu is his name. No one has ever heard his full name. He is mighty and one could always tell by his

appearance. His deep-set almond-shaped eyes are always fears. He has thick brow ridge with bushy

eyebrows, and he has a raven black voluminous full beard hanging on his chest, his hair was also very NôvelDrama.Org holds © this.

thick in volume. The outside of his hair is as dark as the night sky and the inside as white as snow, he

has huge strong horns that grow from the side of his head. He hardly ever walks in the form of man, he

always has to come chest to chest with the building. He never walked, always hovered as a light fog,

never shows his legs only his top part. His lower body looked like thick grey fog disappearing.

He always wears black leather gloves with his sharp white nails breaking through it.

Everyone got to their knees and bowed low before him. I included. He deserves all our worship and

praise. He raised his hands in the air and we all took a seat. He adjusted his black silk gown. That's all

it looked like he wore, silk gowns exposing his rock hard chest covered in a few hairs.

I have never seen him smile before, nor do I ever think I'll ever do. He always looked so serious. He

cleared his throat and looked at his well-behaved coven.

"Good evening my little ones. Many of you by now know why you're here because some of you are in

my coven. Some are not however and this is about them..."

He continued his speech that left me confused. He said that we're grey witches. What the hell is that

even? Is that why the white juice was bitter? I don't want to be apart of this, this is crazy.

I woke up drenched in sweat. Thank god it was just a dream because if it wasn't I don't know what I

would make of it.
