Chapter 60
Chapter 60
Jocelyn thought he would make a big deal out of this.
When the elevator door opened, Melvin scooped her up and carried her straight into the apartment.
He gently placed her on the sofa, looming over her with those peach–blossom eyes full of deep affection and visible desire.
Jocelyn clutched at his shirt, still trying to catch her breath.
“What about you?” Jocelyn wanted an explanation too.
Melvin ran his fingers through her hair, weaving them into her soft, smooth locks, “What about me?”
“You didn’t even tell me you were back. Did you do that on purpose?”
“Yep,” Melvin didn’t beat around the bush, “I wanted to see if you cared at all. Clearly, you don’t.”
With that, his other hand moved to her collar and then rested on her chest. With heavy breath he said, “Heart’s still beating, so why can’t I feel that you care about me?”
Jocelyn was spellbound by his tempting and seductive behavior now.
She swallowed hard, with her chest rising and falling, and felt the warmth from his palm seeping into her heart and making it race.
She loved this man, for better or worse. Everything seemed insignificant when he was with her.
“I didn’t expect things to end up like that.” Jocelyn thought the netizens would just have a laugh at the video and move on, never expecting them to comment the way they did.
If their roles were reversed and he was caught hugging Willow, with everyone saying they were a good match, she’d be just as livid.
Even their usual closeness made her green with envy.
“You like him?
Jocelyn shook her head quickly.
Her answer made Melvin’s mood lightened a bit, who came to kiss her lips and warn in a low voice, “Don’t get close to other men, you’re mine.”
Jocelyn melted right there.
Maybe she was scared by him, or perhaps she felt guilty.
“You’d better not get close to Willow either. She was jealous too.
“I’ll try.”
After saying that, Melvin kissed her lips again, passionately and tenderly, channeling all his pent–up emotions into her, as if tying to seek retribution.
Jocelyn surrendered to the pleasure he gave her, she was just that weak–willed.
Just one sweet treat from him, and she’d forget all the previous bitterness.
They lost themselves in each other, oblivious to time and to the continuously vibrating and lighting–up screen on the floor.
In the middle of the night, Jocelyn lay on top of Melvin, taking deep breaths and kissing his shoulder. Melvin responded by kissing her forehead.
The city lights filtered through the curtains, wrapping them in a gossamer veil of silver.
A thin blanket lay over Jocelyn’s waist; he delicate, fair back seemed more enticing in the dim light.
“What were you doing with Quinta in the hospital back then?” Melvin thought about the medical report he saw during the day, assuming that she went to the gynecologist; that’s why he didn’t intend to be rough earlier, instead quite restrained, but her eager responsiveness eventually made him give it his all.
Jocelyn was a bit tired, her eyes closed, “She came for a check–up.”
“Hmm?”
“Do you know any fertility specialists with a high success rate for IVF?” Jocelyn knew IVF could be painful, and not everyone would succeed on the first try despite the money spent. Not to mention it was tough on people. She didn’t want Quinta to suffer too much.
Even if it was painful, once would be enough.
“I do,” Melvin caressed her back.
Jocelyn looked up, her cheeks flushed and eyes sultry, “Could you introduce us?”
“Sure.” Melvin’s gaze suddenly changed, “Shouldn’t you thank me for that?”
Thank you.”
“Just orally?”
“Mhm.”
“Alright, thank me by your mouth then.”
Jocelyn felt his last sentence was redundant and a bit odd.
What did he mean by ‘thank me by your mouth? To be precise, it should be ‘verbally.
Suddenly, Melvin pushed down on her shoulders, propping himself up.
Jocelyn, confused, was eventually pushed down to his firm abdomen and she instantly realized what he meant. With her face blazed with embarrassment, she grabbed his hand, “What are you doing?”
“You said it.”
“You… Jocelyn’s face turned crimson, “Don’t even think about it!”
Melvin swallowed, “Breaking our promise so soon?”
Jocelyn couldn’t possibly do such a thing. She grabbed the blanket to cover her chest and rolled out of bed, not to care that the man on the bed was stark naked. She gave a glance at his ever–ready manhood, blushed, and
ran into the bathroom.
Melvin looked down, eyebrow raised, and with a wicked smile, he let his hands rest behind his head, deciding. to let Jocelyn off the hook.
The next day, Jocelyn texted Quinta with a flushed face.
When Quinta called and asked tentatively, “How are you guys doing?”
Jocelyn, feeling the warmth on her back, lowered her voice, “We’re okay.”
“Yesterday Auntie asked where you went, she couldn’t reach you on the phone. If I hadn’t stopped her, they would’ve called the police, Quinta’s tone was laced with mirth, “It’s good that you’ve made up. I’m heading back this afternoon.”
You’re leaving this afternoon? Aren’t you supposed to have more check–ups?” Jocelyn was concerned.
I need to talk to Damian first and discuss things properly. Even for IVF, he has to go to the hospital with me,
doesn’t it?”
*But your health… why don’t you stay and play a couple of days more? I have time, and I can keep you company, Jocelyn was worried.
Quinta spoke softly, “I was just too nervous yesterday, and I’m really fine now. After I discuss with Damian and make our decision, I’ll come back.”
Then I’ll see you off,” Jocelyn didn’t try to persuade her to stay any longer, as this was indeed a big deal.
Quinta teased her, “Do you have the time to see me off?”
Jocelyn’s face warmed up a bit, “Of course, I do. You’re not leaving until the afternoon; I’ll come back then.”
“It’s unnecessary. I know the way,” Quinta said, “Now that you two have cleared up the misunderstandings, just be good to each other.”
At that moment, Melvin was kissing her back, his voice a bit hoarse, “We’re free this afternoon, and we’ll see her off.”
Jocelyn turned around, “You sure?
“Mhm.”
Immediately, Jocelyn told Quinta, “Wait for us; we’ll take you to the train station this afternoon.”
After hanging up the phone, Jocelyn turned around to meet Melvin’s brooding gaze. “Why so generous all of a sudden?”
“Quinta is pretty decent, Melvin snuggled into her embrace.
Jocelyn made a face, That’s a rare compliment.”
Melvin wrapped his arms around her waist, “Shouldn’t you be thanking me?”
Now, the mere mention of those words gave Jocelyn the creeps.
The idea he had last night was downright terrifying. All text © NôvelD(r)a'ma.Org.
“What’s got you all the tense?” Melvin pinched her taut waist. “Jocelyn, can’t you think about something normal?”
His ability to turn the tables was truly masterful.
Jocelyn pushed him away.
Melvin raised an eyebrow lazily, his eyes sweeping across her chest, This is fun.”
Jocelyn felt uneasy under his gaze. She grabbed the blanket to cover herself and glared at him, “Then why don’t you give me some fun?”
The moment she finished speaking, Melvin’s eyes narrowed slightly, “You want that?”
