The Unshackled Queen: Never Say Never

Chapter 1980

Hannah smiled and remarked, “If this situation had truly affected them, your cousin wouldn’t have shown up at the horse racing event hosted by the Lyons family.

Perhaps your grandfather asked you to take him with you.”

Maloney’s brows furrowed.

“How come you know everything?”

Hannah blinked at him and smiled.

“Because I’m smart.”

“Okay, you’re right.

I admit defeat.” Maloney smiled with a hint of resignation.

“Though my grandfather is aware of the situation, as you pointed out, it really doesn’t seem to bother him.”

Gazing at Leif in front of her, Hannah muttered, “You’d better work harder.

If you end up losing the heir position to someone like him, I’ll be sure to laugh at you.”

“Don’t worry; with his level of intelligence, I’m not too concerned.”

Maloney curled his lips in disdain, a cold glint flickering in his eyes.

As they spoke, Peterson turned to Hannah and asked, “Hannah, the racecourse is right in front of us.

Would you like to go in and give it a try?”

Today was different from Hannah’s last visit; the horse farm had been fully completed since then.

Aside from the racecourse staff, there were few people here today for the horse race.

Raising an eyebrow, Maloney asked Hannah, “Would you like to give it a try?”novelbin

Hannah pursed her lips, glanced at the ready horses, and nodded.

“Alright, it’s worth a try.

We’re here, after all.”

As she and Maloney walked side by side, Hannah admired the two tall horses before them.

“What beautiful horses,” she said, genuinely impressed.

“The quality this time is exceptional.”

Peterson smiled.

“I selected these horses myself.

It looks like they’ve met your approval.”

“You have good taste!” Hannah nodded in appreciation.

“You’ve come a long way since before.”

“Thank you for the compliment.” Perterson’s face broke into an ecstatic smile.

As they were chatting, Leif approached with a horse in tow and flashed a playful wink at Hannah.

“Since there aren’t many people around, how about a friendly race with the four of us? My riding skills are top-notch.

Are you up for a challenge?”

Maloney simply stood aside, ignoring Leif’s challenge and remaining silent.

Hannah continued her conversation with Peterson, deliberately ignoring Leif.

After speaking without receiving any response, he felt a pang of awkwardness and couldn’t help but shout loudly.

“You all are too scared, aren’t you? How about we make it interesting with a bet? Come on! Say yes or no!”

Leif continued, “If I lose, I’ll give you 200, @@@ each!”

Hannah lifted her gaze to him, a mocking smile playing on her Lips.

“I don’t need your 200, 000.”
