Reyes glares at his father, I was actually disgusted by their agreement but I said nothing, “don’t test me boy,” his father stood up pointing at him. Can we do this later Sergio, I haven’t seen my son in weeks and you want to take him away from me am sure his children also miss their father and want to spend some time with him, right kids? “Daddy, am hungry,” Aurora said in a cute voice with a pout, “oh no, we all know what she wants when she does that” Enzo says, chuckling “look away Reyes” Manuel muttered, everyone avoided looking at her, even her grandparents and Reyes got scared and look away, what could she want that they can’t give her, she huffed and moved to me but not before whispering to her sister, they both nodded.

“Mum, am hungry” I looked around to see who they were talking to you, oh it me.

“What do you want to eat?”

“Oh boy,” Enzo says, “we want cake!” they both demanded showing me their puppy eyes. “Uhm, no! how about I make you cereal” they shook their head. “We want cake!” they demanded, this time showing me fake tears running down their face, sorry kids, but I’ll never fall for that, my son has done way worse than you girls. They looked cute though, but so demanding like their father, I think it their family thing, they like demanding and ordering someone, his sister has done it, so has their father and mother, I think the whole family just does that.

I tried my best not to smile or laugh at them, “how about you eat the cereal and we will make the cake together” I proposed they looked at me “really! You mean it?” they said at the same time, still looking at me, I nodded at them smiling. “Finish your cereal, then we’ll get started” I pointed towards the plate of already made cereal, that was fast, I didn’t even notice the maid had made it. They nodded eagerly and started eating. “This is wonderful, no one has been able to do that” I saw Enzo putting down his phone, he must have been taking a picture of us while Manuel was recording the ordeal, the kids kept eating not wanting to be bothered by anyone. “Done!” they said again, “well that was quick” Enzo says chuckling. Alright let go make the cake. “I want a big cake” Amelia says, alright let’s just get to work, “what should I do?” Amelia asked, get a bowl and crack the egg, “what about me?” Aurora asked, “hmmm, why don’t you choose the flavor you want us to use.

We finished with the baking and am so proud of how beautiful the cake was, now it must be demolished, I took out our fork and we dug in, what I do love cake as well, we didn’t bother to call the rest or even use plate.

“Guys, you can’t just eat it all” Manuel whined, “watch us” I say going back to eating it, we kept giggling, Manuel, Carter and Enzo joined us, “ugh, you guys eat like pigs” Anna announced herself gagging at the sight, “just get out of here bitch” I muttered, she glanced at everyone and stomped her feet on the floor when no one said anything, then went somewhere upstairs.Belonging to NôvelDrama.Org.

As she left her mother came in, “you didn’t keep mine?” everyone stopped eating, the atmosphere became tensed, “we did!” I, Aurora and Amelia said at once, she looked happy when we handed the cake over to her, we reserved this specially for her, her husband came in to take a bit but she hit his hand “you and your son don’t like cake” so don’t think I’ll share mine with you.

“Who said we don’t like cake?” her husband pouted, “you do?” the nods, “I made you cake, but you say you didn’t like them, even you,” she pointed at her children that was busy savoring the delicious cake I made, “grandma, they said your cake tasted bad, that you didn’t know how to bake” Aurora answered for them while still eating but stopped when she understood she made a mistake, “oopsie” she giggled, “grandpa said not to tell that we don’t like her cake” Amelia says hitting her sister on her shoulder, Patricia glared at her husband.

“What else did he tell you to do?” she asked the twins who was saying all the secrets, “he told us to pretend to eat the cake, then he will change it for us when grandma wasn’t looking” Aurora says, and they both giggled. “Is this true?” she asked them, “no mother, the kids are lying” Manuel answered, getting nervous, “my children don’t lie” Reyes said slapping his brother on the back of his head, “is my cake really that bad?” she asked Anna who just stepped into the kitchen, “mom, your cake is awful” Anna! They all yelled, “what! She needs to know the truth, the truth that baking is not her calling, she should stick to cooking” her mother glared at her children and husband, “I think this is when you run” Carter yelled at them, already running out of the building, everyone did the same while she chased after them, the twins looked around and shrugged their shoulders and kept eating, I joined them while the whole family kept screaming while getting beaten by their mother/wife.

~few Hours Later~

“I don’t like your sister,” “step sister” I grunted out, he sighs. I’m only doing this because my parents wanted me to marry from your family, they don’t care who it was, as long as it’s someone from the family. This is just an arrangement, nothing emotional, maybe sexual since we are told to procreate, and don’t get it twisted little girl, you mean nothing to me. Did he just call me little, well listen here old man, shush, don’t talk back at your elders, he snarled as he stalked towards where I was standing, I didn’t move from my spot, he thinks he can scare me off with his height that towers over me making me feel small, scoffs, have killed people taller than him *coughs* I mean just two out of the three people was tall and huge, doesn’t matter.

Without noticing, he grabbed my neck and squeezed it tight, I didn’t flinch, he squeezed a little harder making me pale up, I heard the door opening, “daddy, what are you doing?” he quickly removed his hand, “nothing honey” he replied with a smile on his face like he wasn’t just trying to kill me, the little girl looked towards me and I gave her a little comforting smile, “daddy, can you read to us, we can’t fall asleep” he moved towards her, holding her hand and leading her to her room, I let out a sigh and my body relaxed, immediately he left the room, I looked at my neck in the mirror, and sigh, if his daughter hadn’t have walked in, the fool would have squeezed my neck until I passed out, or I might even had died, I need to thank the little girl for saving me, she came at the right time.
