Chapter 349
"Sobbing." With snot and tears all over her face, Xanthe looked a Fiona, who was holding a small knife and moving closer to Shakira. She struggled desperately and if she could have made a sound, she would have yelled herself hoarse. "No rush. I'll deal with her first and then get to you. Fiona shot Xanthe a glance and stood next to Shakira, who was curled up and gasping for air.
The knife in Fiona's hand waved carelessly, ready to slip and cul deeply into Shakira if she let her guard down.
Yet, Shakira maintained a calm expression as if she was not afraid of Fiona's silent threat. Fiona sneered with malice, crouched down, and let the cold blade trace Shakira's pretty face
"If you lose this pretty face of yours, will Walter even glance at you?" Shakira's clear eyes showed no emotion. She kept her gaze steady on Fiona and said quietly, "Fiona, you haven't crossed the line yet; there's still a chance to turn back." Fiona seemed provoked, with her face tense as she shouted angrily. "Turn back? Grandma's gone. My parents have abandoned me. Where on earth could I go back to?"
Her face twisted with anger, with tears in her eyes. "They wouldn't even let me attend Grandma's funeral. Shakira, you messed everything up for me. Why did you have to appear? Why aren't you the one who's dead?"
While speaking, Fiona lost her mind, flailing her arms in anger. Shakira, weakened by a strong sedative, couldn't resist and ended up with several deep and shallow cuts on her body, bleeding heavily. "Ugh..." Shakira bit her lip, letting out a soft groan. Fiona seemed to find something more amusing, pulling Shakira's hair. "Come on, scream, beg me for mercy, bow down. Maybe I'll let you keep your body intact."
As Shakira felt her consciousness slipping away bit by bit, she deeply frowned. "Fiona, do you want Jaslene to die uneasy." "Shut up." Fiona screamed hysterically, tossing Shakira aside. "You have no right to talk about Grandma." Seeing the still proud and arrogant look on Shakira's face completely set her off. "I'm going to kill you. I'm going to kill you." She raised her hand and was ready to stab the small knife into Shakira's chest-
"Ms. Banks, Mr. Banks is calling." An elderly woman appeared looking worried. Fiona's face was full of anger. "Why is he calling me?Haven't they already kicked me out."
"Ms. Banks, Mr. and Mrs. Banks spoke harshly yesterday maybe because they were angry. Perhaps they've thought about it and want to apologize now?" Fiona's defiant expression was mixed with sourness and grievance. "Really?"
"Yes, please answer the phone. Maybe they're waiting for you to come home to properly bid farewell to Jaslene," said the elderly woman. "Okay," said Fiona while she stood up and gave Shakira a fierce glare. "I'll deal with you when I get back." Fiona followed the elder woman off the floor, and the men in black, clearly unwilling to stay with two dirty women, left arm in arm as well. On the empty floor, Xanthe's sobs echoed, and a faint metallic smell of blood lingered in the air.
Shakira opened her eyes and could smell the blood on herself, but the pain wasn't overwhelming. Yet the injuries felt like countless ants crawling and biting her, making it quite uncomfortable. Fortunately, Fiona had carefully arranged the anesthetic shots.. Suddenly, she turned over, struggling to push herself up with her elbows and knees, wobbly and unsteady. Unable to stand, she used all her strength to crawl toward Xanthe. Xanthe's groans grew even louder. Shakira couldn't help but chuckle lightly, speaking in a low voice. "Do you want them to come over?" Xanthe immediately fell silent, with her wide eyes filling with tears that flowed like a faucet.
The floor was smeared with blood from where Shakira had dragged herself. She took off what looked like an ordinary steel-
banded quartz watch.
A sharp blade popped out from the back of it. Xanthe fell right into Shakira's arms when the ropes were cut through. Both of them collapsed to the ground.
In a panic, Xanthe quickly scrambled up and pulled out the gag from her mouth. Shakira's cold hand covered her mouth when Xanthe was about to speak. "Don't speak. Just listen to me Shakira shoved the watch into Xanthe's hand. "Find a safe place to hide. There's a fox button on the back. Press it five times, and someone will find
you soon."
After giving these instructions, Shakira was exhausted, leaning weakly against a pillar and gasping for air Seeing her covered in blood, Xanthe started sobbing uncontrollably and struggling to catch her breath. "No, I'm not leaving, I want to take you out of here." "I can't move, Xanthe. You need to get out safely to save me. Got it?" Shakira managed a smile at her. "I'm not in pain. The anesthesia will last for several hours. You need to go now."
Xanthe took a deep, sobbing breath and gripped the watch tightly. "Shakira, you have to hold on. I'll find someone to come and save you soon."
She gave her one last, deep look, fought the urge to stay, and turned to leave towards the other side of the floor.
Shakira watched Xanthe's figure run away and softly whispered to herself, "If you found out I accidentally lost the necklace you gave me, would you be upset?" She chuckled gently. "Maybe even more upset since I kept it a secret from you all along." The feeling of weakness hit again as her vision blurred. Shakira slowly closed her eyes.
The floor was spacious, and Xanthe felt dizzy but finally found the emergency exit on the other side. After being tied up all day, her arms and legs felt weak, but she didn't dare stop and hurried down with her head lowered.Property © 2024 N0(v)elDrama.Org.
At last, she made it down to the ground floor, and from a distance, she spotted several cars parked at the front entrance. She turned and ran toward the abandoned wooded area behind the wall in the opposite direction.
Just as she barely started running, a sharp pain struck the back of her head, and Xanthe's vision went dark as her body crumbled to the ground. Berry was startled and quickly checked Xanthe's breathing, giving Xanthis a stern look. "Why did you hit her so hard? What if you killed her?" Xanthis sneered dismissively. "If she dies, it's just her bad luck," Berry said nothing and pried the tightly clutched watch from Xanthe's palm.
Noticing the fox pattern on the back of the watch, Berry's eyes glinted with scheming thoughts. Xanthis glanced upstairs. "Are we just going to leave the girl be?" Berry smirked. "It's better if she's dead. At least she won't be a problem for me anymore." Xanthis gave Berry a significant look. "Wow, my darling is becoming more ruthless. You'll do anything to succeed." Berry threw him a sarcastic smile and quickly dragged him away from the rundown place.
"They never really wanted me back; I don't believe their lies." Fiona returned furiously, grumbling as she stomped back upstairs.
Seeing the place covered in blood and Xanthe nowhere to be seen, she was momentarily stunned, turned around, fiercely kicked the man in black who had followed her, and looked back angrily at Shakira's lifeless body on the floor, trembling with rage. "Bitch-" "Since you're so worried about Xanthe, I'll fulfill your wish," said Fiona. "You worthless idiots, strip her and humiliate her savagely. I want the whole world to see her downfall," she added.

The men exchanged inreasy glances. Sure, die was attractive, Infovered in blood like this-it's disgusting. They couldn't force themselves to do it
Fiona's eyes were red with fury. "Tll pay 100 thousand dollars each time. The more you humiliate her, the more fil pay" The men's eyes lit up immediately. "No problem"
"Deal 100 thousand dollars each time. I guarantee she'll be over the moon. Hahaha, we gotta give her one last thrill before she's gone for good."
They were all excited, reaching out their sinister hands towards Shakira when a sound of boom rumbled.
The abandoned building started to shake violently for almost ten seconds, with dust and small stones falling everywhere -"What an earthquake?" "Fiona, there's an armored SUV that just crashed into a support column."
