Chapter 2195 Lunchtime
Cindy didn't have anything to do next, so she just surfed the internet on her phone and checked the
news.
The police had issued a notice about Leah's murder, saying that the killer had been caught and that
their identity had been revealed as well. As for the reason behind the murder, they only mentioned a
money dispute without any further details.
Seeing that, Cindy wasn't sure what impact the issuance of this notice would have on Ian since Leah's
murder didn't seem to have a big impact on him. From that, she guessed that this notice should be of
little significance to him as well.
She took a deep breath and felt that everything seemed to be settling down slowly. Since the Morgan
Family's matter had reached this point, it was considered resolved. The Morgan Family would probably
disappear from the public eye and memory in the future, and Ian would finally free himself from them.
She waited until it was lunchtime and stayed in her office for a while until she saw Lucy coming over.
When she walked out of her workspace, she happened to see Serena leaving her office as well. She
spoke first. "Are you getting off now, Miss Warhol?"
After being stunned for a moment, Serena turned around to look at Cindy, then glanced at Lucy before
responding, "Yeah. Are you going out for lunch?"
"Yes, I've made plans with Miss Harrison. Do you have plans already? If not, why don't you join us?"
Cindy smiled.This content is © NôvelDrama.Org.
With an arched brow, Serena asked, "Is that okay? Is it just the two of you for lunch?" Her question was
directed at Lucy, so Cindy remained silent.
Lucy smiled and said after a pause, "It's fine. Only the two of us are going for lunch. Join us."
Hearing that, Serena accepted their invitation and walked toward them. In the end, the three of them
went down together and got into Lucy's car since she was deciding on the venue for lunch.
During the ride, Cindy and Serena chatted about the design draft Cindy had been working on in the
back seat. Serena helped her identify some issues, but they were all minor and nothing major. Then,
she mentioned showing the draft to the client first. If the client didn't like it, she would ask Cindy to
make changes according to her suggestions.
Lucy didn't say anything during the ride, but she didn't seem unhappy either.
Once they arrived at the restaurant and were seated in a private room, Lucy handed the menu to
Serena. "Take a look at the menu. I heard this place has good food, but it wouldn't be much fun to eat
alone. So, I asked Cindy to come along. Since we bumped into you along the way, you should try it
too."
Serena looked over the menu and ordered two dishes, and Cindy ordered two as well. Lucy then
ordered a few more.
After the waiter left with the menu, Lucy spoke up again. "I thought you would be busy, Miss Warhol. I
didn't know you would be alone during lunchtime. If I had known, I would have invited you earlier as
well."
Hearing that, Serena let out a slow sigh. "I always eat alone. I just go to the cafeteria and look for a
crowded table every lunchtime. If you don't have anyone to eat with, feel free to hit me up."
Then, she turned to look at Cindy and said, "But it seems like you're quite busy, Cindy. I hardly ever see
you around in the cafeteria."
"I usually eat at home. Ian's mother is there, and she often prepares lunch for me when I go back."
Cindy nodded in agreement.
"I see. His mother seems to treat you well," remarked Serena.
"Yes, his mother is very kind. We've been getting along well for a long time, and she treats me even
better than she treats Ian," replied Cindy.
At this point, Lucy spoke up. "This means that she approves of you. Have you and Ian thought about
making your relationship official?"
Cindy pretended not to hear the underlying meaning in Lucy's words as she shrugged her shoulders.
"We haven't considered that yet, but if there are no major changes in our relationship, we might do that
after he settles down with work."
