Chapter 2192 She’ll Be Fine, Right?
Ian thought for a bit, then hummed. "I guess so. Even though I haven't experienced it yet, just
imagining it makes me feel like it's an experience incomparable to any other."
There was an awed tone in the driver's voice. "I kid you not. There's no other thing in your life that
brings you the same feeling."
His face was filled with gentleness as he continued, "When my daughter was born, she was just a tiny
bean. You know me, and you know I've always been like this, but back then, I just burst out crying in
front of the delivery room. Now that I'm telling you this, I'm not even scared that you might mock me for
it. A big man like me, crying non-stop! It really isn't something you can describe with mere words. She's
my own daughter!"
Ian only heard the driver's description, but there was already a strong emotion rising in his heart.
Sometimes, he fantasized about what his and Cindy's child would look like. Even if it were a person he
conjured in his mind, he would still get excited at the thought of it.
After a while, Ian said, "When my contract expires, and everything is settled, I should start considering
this aspect of life."
The driver paused, then turned to look at Ian. "You have to marry Cindy first. You've been together for
so long, so it's about time you settle down."
Ian didn't tell even the driver that he and Cindy were already legally married. He didn't mean to keep it
a secret from the driver, but the fewer the people who knew, the better. He was already nearing his Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
goal, so he couldn’t afford any mistakes.
Ian played along as he said, "Yes, I have to marry her first. I can't rest easy having that girl out and
about for even a day; I'm scared someone might take her away."
He meant what he said. Even if they were legally married, he was still worried as long as Cindy was out
of sight.
Someone would eventually discover how good she was, and he was deeply afraid of that. He didn't
want anyone thinking too fondly of her.
Meanwhile, Logan's family just welcomed a baby boy. The little kid was soft and had a pale complexion
upon birth, and even the nurses who helped with the delivery said that it was a healthy child. Usually,
newborn babies would be a little redder, so Logan’s kid was different.
When the child was carried out, Logan simply stood there in a daze. He didn't know what to do.
The four daughters of the Jefferson Family were present as well. They didn't bring Old Mr. Jefferson
with them because of his ill health.
More importantly, this was quite exciting news, so they feared that Old Mr. Jefferson might get too
worked up for his own good.
The child was first handed to Lynett. The baby didn't cry, and he slept soundly with his eyes closed.
Holding the child in her arms, Lynett walked up to Logan and showed him the baby. "Look, this is your
son."
Logan stared at the child for a long while. "He's born… just… like that."
Lysa couldn't help but laugh as she walked over to Logan and patted him on the back. "Yes, he's born
just like that. Have a good look at your son."
Logan turned to look at the door to the delivery room. "Where's Lola? Why isn't she out yet?"
Langdon and Fiona, who were standing at the entrance of the delivery room, sighed in relief when they
heard Logan's words. Logan still knew what happened, for he didn't just forget about his wife at the
sight of his son.
Lorraine remained calm. "They're probably still monitoring her inside. Just wait a bit, and she should be
out later."
She then looked at Lynett. "Lynett, why don't you take the baby back to the ward? We'll stay here and
wait for Lola."
Lynett nodded. "Okay, got it. Remember to cover her with some clothes, don't let her catch a cold."
Lorraine nodded. "Don't worry. We know what to do."
Lynett showed the child to the others for a bit, then went back to the ward. Logan stood outside the
delivery room with an anxious look on his face.
He wasn't familiar with all this, so his tone was a little panicky as he said, "Why isn't she out yet? The
baby is out already, so why isn't she? She'll be fine, right? What is she doing inside? Is she the only
one there?"
