The Proud Boss Lady.

Chapter 32: 32

Chapter 32: 32

“The view here is breathtakingly beautiful," Freya said to no one in particular. She was supposed to

come with Zed, but he ditched her last minute.

After all, he's not my boyfriend. She said to herself.

“It sure is beautiful." Another voice said standing beside her.

“Yeah, and peaceful..." she trailed off.

“He ditched you right?" Noah smirked.

“Excuse you?" she tried getting all defensive.

“Calm down, I am no stalker, but your reactions show you were ditched by someone you planned the

night with," he explained.

“Yeah, we were supposed to meet up here for a dinner, but he ditched claiming he had to do some

things, and here I am," she told.

“ At least he's not rude or doesn't act all bitchy as the whole world revolves around him." he sighed.

“Ah, rich girlfriend problems?" Freya asked as he pulled a seat to join her at the table she sat on.

“Yeah, more like over pampered spoiled brat. But she's a good woman, it's just her attitude that stinks."

Noah explained. Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.

It sounds like Soraya Wayne he's talking about. Freya thought to herself.

“Enough of them, what do you do?" she asked.

“Im a personal assistant in a multinational company, what of you?" he inquired.

“CEO to FG fashion industry." she smiled sipping her red wine.

“The Freya Grey? In flesh and blood?" he asked shocked. She was not like Soraya. He had that

mentality that all successful women were all bitchy, but she had proved him wrong that night.

“Call me Freya, and I didn't catch your name mystery man." she winked at him.

“I am Noah, and it was nice meeting you, Freya, I had fun. Can we do this again sometime? I promise

not to ditch you." he had his fingers crossed.

“Of course we can, here's my card and call me when you want to meet up Noah, I enjoyed your

company as well." she handed it to him.

“Care for one last drink?" he grinned showing his dimples.

“ I'd love that," she replied.

“ Where have you been?" Soraya asked Noah as he entered the house. She'd been worried sick about

him.

“Out," he replied.

“Out where?" she urged.

“Out, out," he answered about walking out on her as she grabbed his arm pulling him towards her.

“Look, I'm sorry for how I talked to you and treated you. I really am." she apologized hugging him.

“It's fine though, you really crossed the line." he hinted.

“I am sorry," she grit her teeth.

“More like you're not." he walked past her into the room.

“Noah!" she exclaimed following him into the room. She was horny that night and needed him to satisfy

her urge.

“Miguel, you've got to learn to love again, she's gone and would not be glad to see you wallow in pain.

You've got a girl that loves you and would do anything to please you, but you keep pushing her away,

yet she keeps coming back. You've got to work things out before it's just too late, at this rate by the

time you realise your true feelings for Jess, she would have moved on." Austin his close friend and a

doctor advised.

“Austin, I understand I'm just not ready yet, not for this." he sipped his coffee.

“Then let her know Miguel, let her know, she might be able to move on, at least it may hurt but she

would heal. It's better for both f you anyways," he smirked.

“But I don't want her to leave either, I like her as a person but--- I guess I'm just confused." he sighed.

“Don't be selfish Miguel, " Austin tapped his friend's back.

“I guess I'm needed in the ER, I've been paged." Austin got up and walked off.

What do I really want?

What?

“Ma?" Jess called as she entered the house. It had been a while they last visited and they had wanted

to surprise her. At least it was a getaway from Miguel and work.

“Maybe, she's in the kitchen," Jackie replied from behind her.

“Nope, there are is with Amelia." Zed pointed oitside. They stood in the house waiting for her to see

them.

Trudy's eyes lit up when she saw her children. It had been a while they last came to visit even though

they talked a lot.

Amelia run into the house to hug her cousins. They had been close even when she was little. They

treated her as their baby sister and loved her dearly.

“You my girl have grown into a beauty." Zed carried her spinning her around as she giggled.

“My babies, how I missed you," Trudy admitted hugging them.

“We missed you so much Ma," Jackie responded.

“How's work? Jess? Jackie? Zed?" she asked all three of them.

“Work is fine and stressful these days," Zed answered taking a bite out of a cookie. Amelia went

upstairs to her room giving Trudy time to bond with her kids. She had grown to love her grandmother

so much she wished she was her real mom.

Welcome to reality, life sucks! Her conscience teased.

“Tell me about it," she said to no one in particular.

“Can I come in?" Jess asked poking her head into her room.

“Sure you can." Amelia beamed as she dragged a suitcase in.

“Are you staying for a month with all that luggage?" Amelia voiced out.

“Nope, these here are for you, my love." Jess smiled as Jackie joined in. Jackie and Jess looked so

alike, people couldn't tell them apart. It was easier for Amelia to do so because Jackie had chubby

cheeks while Jess didn't and Jess's eyes was a much deeper shade of hazel than Jackie's were.

“Thanks, J&J I appreciate these." she beamed.

“You are welcome, now tell us how high school is treating you and who you're crushing on." Jackie

teased.

“I was so dreading this convo, can't we skip this pretty please," she begged.

“Na uh, it's a tradition and you my dear are going to spill the beans. It's a girl code. Just feel dress and

tell us maybe we could help. You could never know." Jess probed.

“Okay, so you all know Cody right..." she began.
