The Persistent CEO Wants A Baby

Chapter 4 A blind date

Wayne gets out of the Aiden’s penthouse and enters the car again. This time, he wasn’t with the chauffer.

The reason was because, he’s driving his own car. He had actually come to Aiden’s penthouse to deliver some documents.

He steps on the gear and slowly drives out of the façade.

Five minutes and three seconds later and Wayne pulls out his car on the side road and got down, walking to the back of the car , he looks down to check if anything got broken.

And his tail lights was broken, he walks to the black car parked behind him and knocks on the front door glass .

The front door glass rolls down and reveals a lady with a brown short hair and has a sunglasses on.

Mere looking at her, one can tell how tensed she is. Wayne looks at this lady’s hand which was on the steering wheel and realizes it’s shaking.

She’s scared or nervous.

Wayne swallowed. “Are you okay?”

She didn’t respond immediately as she just went ahead to remove her sunglasses then pushes her hair backwards.

“I’m really sorry. I’m going somewhere and i am already running late.” She apologizes.

“You’re trembling, you haven’t been involved in something like this before?” Wayne asks.

She nods. “Yes sir.. I’m really sorry. Here’s my card, you can take your car to the mechanic and give me a call after so I can foot the bills”

Wayne wanted to tell her that it’s okay and he’s going to repair it on his own but the lady cut her short.

“Give me your phone?” She stretched out her hand.

“What, why?”

She didn’t wait for him to finish speaking before grabbing the phone from his hand and inputting her phone number.

“Make sure you call me and don’t try to threaten me later.”

Wayne watches the car drive away and he turns his head back to look at the card she gave to him earlier.

“Diana Watts”

Wayne smiles , he thought the name is a beautiful name for her. Putting the card into his pocket, He walks back to his car and got in. Driving off.

He got down in front of the company and he’s glad he was not in the car with Aiden when the side impact collision happened earlier.

Otherwise Aiden will make sure to find every reason to pick on the lady.

“Have CEO arrived yet?” Wayne asked the front desk executive immediately he walked in.

“Yes, minutes ago. He’s in his office” She replies him.

Wayne thanked her with a little smile before he walks away, getting into a elevator and pressing the fourth floor.

He waited patiently until the elevator stops, then it opens and Wayne was about getting off when he saw Aiden approaching him in a hurry.

“Where are you rushing to?” Wayne asks.

“Do you know about this?” Aiden replies him with his own question.

“How can grandfather hold a business meeting in my company and I didn’t know about it? Not even you told me!” Wayne says, in a rush tune.

“I’m sorry, I thought you knew. That was two days ago, while you’re still abroad”

“Arghhhh! That old man is really getting on my nerves” Aiden swears.

He turns and start walking back to his office while Wayne walks behind him.

“Secretary Ruth, get me a cup of black coffee” Auden ordered before sitting down.

“Right away sir.”

Aiden sat down and pull out a file from his drawer and start checking on them.

“I dropped by at your penthouse and left the documents for nominating as you requested.” Wayne said and Aiden didn’t look up but he just nodded.

“I heard the research and development department are low with workers?”

“Yes.. over the months, they’ve been doing poorly because they don’t have enough workers.”

“Grandfather didn’t know this?”

Wayne nods. “He doesn’t, apart from attending some meetings, he doesn’t really supervise the company.”

“Set up job offers in the billboards, also in our page in social media. Stop it from being shared by people, I’ll not appreciate it if over two hundred people starts coming in when the post is shared.”

“For research and development department?”

Aiden nods.

“Alright Boss. I’ll go talk to the head of the department first, she can do the advertising more than me. I mean, stating the requirements”Text © by N0ve/lDrama.Org.

Diana pulls off in front of his father’s detached house and walk inside, the maid rushes over to her to take her handbag from her.

That’s right! Diana is a rich man’s child but she chooses to not depend on her parent’s wealth and just build her own world.

She can get whatever she want from her father no matter what it is. But Diana didn’t want to be that spoilt , over pampered child who looks up to her father’s money to eat.

She had meet Tihana two years ago at a bar where Tihana once worked.

That day, it was raining and she had gotten into an argument with her boyfriend, ex boyfriend now. And she had gotten herself drunk.

Tihana helped her by using her ID card to figure out her apartment and boarded a cab with her till she’s home safely.

She left her a letter to come pick up her car at the restaurant when she wakes up.

Diana couldn’t thank her enough and so she begs her to be her friend. Finding out about Tihana family’s status and how she’s being treated.

Diana took it upon herself to care for her, when she was sent out of the house the same day she lost her job, that was a year ago though.

She took her in because she’s now her friend. And Tihana had never taken advantage of her kindness to her to stab her behind.

She have not also been a good friend, but a good sister too.

What Diana hates is the fact that her family fails to see the pretty strong girl in Tihana. And she wishes there’s a way she can sue her stepmother for her behavior, but Tihana doesn’t want that.

She believes none of it is her stepmother’s fault and she’s glad they took her in until they’re tired of her.

Diana is soft spoken. She’s a quiet girl who speak only a few words and loves hanging out.

Her pretty brown short hair makes her look even more beautiful.. she got her brown hair from her late mother who had died when she was 16 years old, out of heart cancer.

She’s 25 now and doing just so good and she knew well that wherever her mother is, she’d feel so proud of her.

“My Baby” Her father calls out walking down the stairs.

A maid had come up to his room to inform him about his daughter’s arrival. He haven’t seen her for some months.

Diana’s father had never for once try to hold her back from doing what she wants to do. Eventually, he’s glad his wife raised an independent woman.

“Father, I missed you.” Diana said and went over to hug him tightly.

She smells him and giggles..

“You smell so redolent!” She smiles and her father disengage from the hug and ruffles her hair.

“You haven’t changed a bit.” He told her..

“Let’s seat father. You told me you’ve something urgent to talk to me about.”

Her father walk to sit on a chesterfield chair and Diana sits on the arm chair opposite him.

Diana cross her leg and lean on the chair, then look at her father and paying him a full attention.

” This might be off topic but you’re my only child and I thought we’d have to talk this over. Don’t get mad at me, will you?”

Diana at a loss , smile at her father. “I won’t. What do you wanna talk about?”

Her father breath down and look at his daughter’s expression to make sure she’s not feeling uncomfortable or anything similar.

“Do you have any man yet?” He asked him slowly and Diana raised her eyebrows.

“A man? Like a boyfriend..?” Diana asked.

She know understands where the conversation is going. Her father is worried that she’s single and already 25.

“Yes. Do you have anyone you’re interested in?” Her father went on to ask.

Diana was on the go to say “Not yet” but her mind ponders over the guy she had meet earlier.

The man she had mistakenly hit his car. Diana smiles a little but the smile fades off almost immediately.

“Not yet father. But soon”

“That’s great Diana” Her father smiles and Diana didn’t fail to notice the excitement in her father’s tone hearing that she’s single.

“You’re not doing it again? Right..!?” Diana asks, understanding where he father was heading to.

“What?”

“Are you setting me up on a blind date again? I told you, I’ll find my man myself.”

“C’mon! I trust you about that, but this time it isn’t just an ordinary date or anything simpler”

Diana looks at her father and cross her arms across her chest.

“What are you saying?”

“Aiden Turner… His grandfather is setting him up on a blind date, you know what it means when you eventually starts dating and marrying him? He’s like the richest young CEO.”

“Father, what do you mean young?! That man is 32, he’s old”

“Don’t say that , beauty. He’s still young. Anyways that doesn’t matter, so you are gonna do that?. Go on a date with him”

Diana didn’t let her father finishes before she shakes her head negatively.

“No. That man is very Cold and arrogant. I can’t deal with him, plus he’s a flirt who thinks money can buy someone. He don’t even care about how others feels!”

Her father smiles as he looks at her daughter disparage Aiden.

“You really know more of him than I do.” He cuts her short and Diana sigh and roll her eyes.

“There’s no way I’m getting involved with such man like him.”

“C’mon Beauty! You can change him after all. Okay, I know you don’t like him but how about you just go on the date? Maybe you might change your mind about him.”

“No way!”

“But I can’t say no to his grandfather. He’d think I’m hiding my daughter away from him.”

Diana looks at her father in understanding and sigh. Then she nods her head.

“I’ll go on the date if you do me one favour? Find a good job for Tihana.”

“Your wish. I’ll do that, thank you beauty. You’re just like your mother. So considerate”

Diana smiles at her father and walk to hug him again then kiss his cheeks.

“I’ll get going now, father. So I can get home early.”

“Drive safe.”

Diana flash her father a smile as she grabs her handbag and walk out of the house. She gets to the garage and get into her car.

Ofcourse there’s no way she’s going to go on that date. While she have said yes to him, Diana have her own plans… Tihana is the one to replace her.
