The Odd Billionaire

CHAPTER 26

“You don’t really like Sir. Zarsuelo at all?” Claire confirms it.

Shaking my head. “I don’t,” I replied to Claire. “I can’t understand that idiot. He is toying with me.” I added.

“Maybe he really likes you?” Sonia commented, scratching his nose.

“We have just met for months. We don’t know anything about each other. How can he like me that fast?” I asked them.

That’s too impossible.

It is just that he is toying with me and my feelings!

“Love at first sight?” Alex responded as well. “He never did that to anyone, aside from you. So, we can conclude that he really likes you.” he added.

Love at first sight? reminiscing about our first meeting and all of his reactions.

“He does not show any reaction like he fell in love at first sight with me,” I answered, holding my chin. “He just annoyed the hell out of me for months, so that one is not counted.” I added, supporting my claim.

“Did you really try to remember everything?” Alessa asked me.

Nodding my head at her. “If it’s the only way to get the answer, I will try to remember everything.” I answered.

“How can you remember everything?” Claire replied.

“I don’t have any special skills to remember everything. It just happened that I met that oddball idiot. I can’t forget my first impression of him. An annoying oddball idiot, who won’t definitely be forgotten because he is weird?” I explained.

We tend to remember everything that is unimaginable, weird, and unforgettable moments. Unlike if it’s a normal day, I am sure that the memories are already in the trash bin.Content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

“What will you do if he is saying the truth?” Sonia asked.

If it is real?

I am sure that it will leave me hanging with my openmouthed stare.

One of his candidates is definitely pretty, stunning, rich, and has a higher education than I do. So why would I join in that contest?

I already know that I don’t have any chance of winning.

“I don’t know.” I answered.

I spent my time avoiding him as much as possible. Encountering him will make my head ache already, so operation avoid the oddball is starting.

Heading to the cafeteria to ask for a water refill, I did not bother to continue getting a refill. I just hide from Zarsuelo, who is talking to someone.

“It’s clean already, stop working,” I heard Zarsuelo say to a cleaner. “Rest and eat at the cafeteria if you want. Do you have any children at your house? You can bring them here.” he added, now saying his true intention.

What Claire had told me before was really true.

That he might make this company a baby corp. He must really like kids. That is why he is into Layzen as well.

“But it’s my work to clean, Sir.” The lady, maybe in her forties, said.

Zarsuelo smiled, the normal one he rarely shows. Yeah, rarely. He always shows the arrogant one, as if it is his set signature smile.

“But I am the Boss, who is telling you to stop. Don’t worry, I will tell everyone to clean before and after work and clean if it’s dirty or we have visitors. Go and rest or else I will fire you.” Zarsuelo even warned.

Why is he acting shit in front of me then?

Well, he is not that shitty in front of me. There are times, like when someone clicks the switch, he will be shitty as it is then changed to a soft one.

Does he have any personality problems?

That’s dangerous, isn’t it?

“Why are you hiding, wife?”

“Wah!” I screamed, frightened by him and his surprising skills. “When did you get here?” I asked, keeping a distance from him.

“I was heading this way when I saw you spacing out,” he answered, folding his arms. “You are holding an empty bottle. One possible thing you may do is go to the cafeteria and ask for a refill, isn’t it?”

I can’t help but to gape at him. An openmouthed stare it is indeed.

How did he know?

Is it too obvious of me?

“I am sure that I got you,” said Zarsuelo, getting the empty bottle I was holding. “I will refill it for you.” he added, walking away.

I am supposed to hide from him, right? So, what the hell just happened?

“Stop spacing out, wife! Follow me now.” Zarsuelo shouted along the corridors.

That snapped me back to reality.

I was about to follow him but-

“Oho! You are now following me. Does that mean you accept your fate today?” Zarsuelo added.

“I will make sure to tear that tongue of yours, oddball idiot!” I said, growling along the corridors while chasing him down.

I stop running, chasing him won’t be good for me. I have to resort to my plan B.

“I have sweets here.” I told him.

Zarsuelo finally stopped running and faced me.

I took the sweets from my pocket and waved them in front of him.

He quickly approached me with his eyes on the sweets I was holding.

I knew this strategy key card could make him come to me in just a few seconds. That’s why I always have sweets in my pocket.

“Here.” I said, handing over the sweet to him.

I had already pinched his right ear hard before he could get the sweet.

“Ah! Ah! I am sorry, I don’t want it anymore.” said Zarsuelo, who is now under my control.

“I told you not to call me that one anymore. Am I right?” I asked.

“But that’s our endearment. I don’t want to change it.” Zarsuelo answered.

Our endearment?

When did I agree on it?

If I try and resist to stop him from calling me endearments I don’t want, nothing will happen and I will be bothered by it while I am working here.

I have to resort to my plan C.

Letting his ear go. “Zarsuelo, I want to resign.”
