Chapter 387 The Never You Have to Attack My Woman!

Elain stood there, stunned. "Mr. Dean, you..."

Finley's face remained cold as he stared at Elain. "What about me?"

She was caught off guard by Finley's sharp gaze. She hul been the one who insisted on paying, so there was no one else to blame. Reluctantly, she pulled out her phone and paid nearly ten thousand dollars for the snacks and fruit

How could everything be so expensive? she thought, her heart aching as she realized she'd just lost a small fortune over some snacks and fruit.

When they returned to the hospital, the first thing they saw was Noah lying unconscious on the floor. Finley's eyes immediately shifted to Samantha, who looked disheveled, her hair and clothes in complete disarray. Before he could say anything, Elain gasped in shock. "Samantha! What happened to you? Did this man defile you after Mr. Dean left?"

Samantha sighed. "No, I just got into a fight with him."

Her whole body ached. Noah had been incredibly difficult to deal with, and it had taken all her strength to knock him out.

Finley put down the bags he was carrying, his face dark with fury. He grabbed the unconscious Noah off the floor, his expression fierce. Seeing Noah still out cold, Finley frowned. "What happened here?"

"He came asking for help. I refused, so we argued. Then he got mad and tried to kill me, but of course, I wasn't going to let him. So, we fought." Samantha nodded as if the entire event had been casual. "Yep, that's about it."

Though her tone was light, Finley could imagine how intense the situation must have been. The bruise on Samantha's face made it all too clear.

"D*mn him," Finley growled. "Did he hit you?"

Samantha touched her cheek. "Yeah, he slapped me once, but it didn't hurt. I hit him much harder, so if anyone's in pain, it's him." Finley's heart clenched at her words, pain surging through him. "This b*stard's asking to die. How dare he lay a hand on my woman?!"

Without hesitation, Finley yanked Noah up again, delivering a hard punch to his face.

Noah groaned in pain, slowly opening his eyes. The first thing he saw was Finley glaring down at him, his expression terrifying. If looks could kill, Noah was sure he'd be dead a thousand times over. Trembling in fear, Noah stannered, "M-Mr. Dean, why are you looking at me like that?" "Some nerve you have to lay a hand on my woman!"

"I-I..." Noah quickly tried to deny it. "I didn't... I swear, I was just joking around with Sam. Look, she's fine, isn't she?"

Finley grabbed Noah by the throat, squeezing tightly. "Her face is bruised because of you, and you're

telling me she's fine? Noah, maybe it's time you got your eyes checked."

"I-I..." Noah's entire body shook with fear. What had he done to deserve this? Not only...

Not only had Noah lost the company, but he had also somehow managed to piss off Finley. He had come today hoping to get Samantha's help, but instead, he had offended Finley. The whole d'mn situation was spiraling into a nightmare. Panicking, he scrambled for an explanation. "Listen, Sain's face looks like this because she tried to hit me, and I dodged. That's when she ended up messing up her own face. This has nothing to do with me! She brought this on herself." "Brought it on herself?"

Oh sh*t, did I just screw that up? He quickly backpedaled. What I meant was that she got hurt all on her own! It's not my fault, Mr. Dean; you can't pin this on me for what Samantha did to herself. I'm not taking the fall for this!" His desperate words only made Finley's grip tighten.

"You're asking for it, Noah. I don't give a d*mn why Sam's face looks like this. When I left, she was fine. Now that I'm back, she's in this state because of you. So, tell me how should I make you pay for what you've done to her?" Am I not the one who's been wronged?

Gasping for air as Finley's grip on him tightened, Noah protested, "I swear, I didn't hit her! It was Sam who hit me! If you don't believe me, just ask her!"

But Finley's icy glare remained unyielding, sending chills down Noah's spine. He glanced over at Samantha, who lay silently on the hospital bed, doing nothing to defend him.

"Samantha, I'm being wrongly accused because of you! Finley's about to kill me, and you're just lying there! Why won't you speak up for me?"

Honestly, it would be better if Finley choked him out right now. After all, he really hit me-so why should I bother helping him to explain anything?

She covered her face like a delicate flower, teetering on the edge of wilting. "Finley, my face hurts so much. Do you think it will be scarred? If it is, will I end up hideous? Unbearably ugly?"

Noah was so infuriated by her dramatics that he nearly choked on his rage. Her face had only a minor bruise-nothing else was amiss-and yet she had the audacity to claim she might be disfigured? "You're doing this deliberately! Look at your face-it's perfectly fine! You're just trying to get Finley to choke me to death, aren't you?"

She nodded shamelessly. "Yes, I do. I've hated you for a long time."

He frowned. "The saying 'hell hath no fury like a woman scorned' describes you perfectly."

She just smirked. "Yeah, that's me. What are you gonna do about it? If you've got the guts, come on and hit

me!"

Her smug expression twisted Noah's face in fury. Struggling against Finley's grip, he looked as if he wanted
