The Ninth Bride (Samantha and Finley)

Chapter 279

Chapter 279 I'll Do Whatever You Say

"Hurry, let's all report this blogger together."

Samantha scrolled through the comments with an emotionless face.

She wasn't the least bit upset by the angry reactions. The more furious the netizens became today, the more impactful their reactions would be when she revealed the truth tomorrow. This would make it easier to clear Sylvan's name.

...

Meanwhile, Sylvan sat silently at his home while watching the viral video on his screen. His brows furrowed tightly.Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.

The man in this new video isn't my brother but someone else. Why does this man look so eerily similar to my brother?

Also, what is this blogger trying to achieve by suddenly releasing such a video?

"Sylvan, are you watching the video spread online?"

Just then, a woman with a bruised body emerged from a room. She wasn't just anyone; she was the fan who had falsely accused Sylvan and was also his brother's wife. Now, she lived with Sylvan because he had run out of money.

The woman sat beside Sylvan. She noticed the troubled expression on his face. "Sylvan, the video seems different from the one involving Nick."

"Yes..." Sylvan muttered. "It's indeed different, but the setting is the same, although the man isn't him. Someone must have staged this."

The woman looked curious. "Staged it? Why would they go to such lengths to film something like this?"

Sylvan's thoughts flashed back to the girl who had given him her number-Samantha.

Could it be her? She has promised to clear my name within three days, and this is day two. The blogger online has also mentioned the same timeline for exonerating me. Could the one behind all of this be the girl who gave me her phone number? What is she planning?

"Sylvan, why are you silent?" the woman asked, breaking the silence.

Sylvan took a sip of water before replying, "It's nothing. Just stay at home and don't worry about the video. Once the hype dies down, it should blow over."

"I'm worried about you, Sylvan. What if your hotel manager sees this and fires you?"

Sylvan kept his distance from the woman. "I'll deal with it. You don't need to worry." "Alright."

At Dean Residence, Finley watched Samantha, who was absorbed in her phone. He then walked over and suddenly took the phone from her hands.

Samantha looked up at him in surprise. "What's up?"

"Staring at your phone for too long isn't good for you. Stop looking at it."

Samantha chuckled. "If I don't look at my phone, what should I do then?"

"How about I take you for a walk?"

Samantha nodded with a smile. "Sure."

She got up and, hand in hand with Finley, strolled outside.

As they walked past some fruit trees, Samantha casually plucked an apple. Taking a bite, she said, "We're not far from Grandpa's house. How about we go have dinner with him?"

"Do you want to go?"

While munching on the apple, Samantha rested her head on Finley's shoulder. "Grandpa must be lonely eating by himself. Since we're already here, let's go keep him company."

"Alright, whatever you say."

Samantha grinned. "You're so obedient."

"I'm only obedient toward you."

When they arrived at John's house, they found him fishing in the backyard.

Upon seeing them approach, he beamed with joy. "Sam, Finley, what brings you two here?"
