The Mating Rules

It’s been one week since Alpha Scott tried to take one of my mates from me. The only people who know that I made him submit to me are the two of us, my mates and Doctor Meadows, who was standing in the entrance hall of Hadley’s house when it happened.

The Doctor was Alpha ordered to secrecy by Caden’s father, who has also avoided being near me as much as possible ever since.

My mates have spent the majority of the last week alternating between trying to figure out why my eyes turned to silver when only an Alpha’s eyes change colour and their eyes are always gold and where we are going to live now that we are all marked.

Currently, I’m lying on Hadley’s bed, the warrior thrusting into me as I claw at his back, trying to fight off my o****m so he won’t stop.

‘Harder’ I m**n loudly, wrapping my legs around his waist so he can push deeper.

Before he has time to roll back to me, the bedroom door slams open and a dominant growl rips through Caden, who storms in, his shirt already off as he reaches over the bed and drags me toward him. I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him on top of me as the Alpha bites down on my neck. I writhe underneath him, trying to get closer as the bed shakes beneath me from his thrusts. ‘Hey yourself’ Caden replies, slowly pulling out of my body and falling to the bed beside me. ‘We are really going to have to sort out some rules’ he adds with a huff.

‘What? Why?’ I mumble sleepily, curling up against Hadley as my hands seeks out Caden to pull him into my back.

‘Because I was in a damn meeting with our fathers’ the Alpha grumbles, rolling onto his side and throwing an arm around my waist. ‘Do you know how awkward it is to feel you two f*cking and getting a hard on in front of our dads?’

His exasperated words pull me out of my o****m fuelled sleepiness and I start to giggle, pressing my face into Hadley’s chest to try and stem the sound.

‘You think that’s funny, do you Leeway?’ Caden growls, reaching around me and pinching my n****e with his thumb and forefinger harshly, making me squeak. ‘I had to pretend that Isaac mind linked me with a problem so I could get out of there before they noticed! You’ he adds, pointing an accusatory finger at Hadley, ‘should know not to touch when I’m working!’

The warrior shrugged, his fingers drawing circles on my hand that is resting on his chest, ‘I didn’t see you having a problem with this when I was on border patrol and you were trying to break your own o****m inducing record’ he replied easily.

‘By two’ Caden smirked as I slapped his hand, my cheeks heating, yeah, that wasn’t punishment but I couldn’t walk after he’d finally finished with me.

‘Anyway, Lee came to see me’ the warrior added, glancing down at me as I smiled up at him.

‘I had to ask him what we were doing for dinner’ I defended myself, ‘are we eating here or at the pack house.’

‘And you couldn’t have mind linked him like everyone else does?’ Caden sighed, his arm tightening around me.

‘I missed you both’ I admit shyly, trying to hide my face, ‘and you were in a meeting so I came here . . I just wanted a cuddle’ I murmur.

‘With your clothes off?’ the Alpha asks, but I can hear the humour in his voice.

‘It was very hot in the house’ I defended, ‘I was just taking my coat off and Hadley started kissing my neck.’

‘Sweetheart, you weren’t wearing any clothes under that coat’ the warrior reminded me.

‘I um . . wanted to give you a one week anniversary surprise?’ I offer making both my mates laugh.

‘So, what is my one week anniversary present?’ Caden asked, pressing his lips to his mark on my neck as I shiver.

‘Me giving you a reason to get out of a boring meeting and spend time naked with me in bed’ I reply teasingly.

‘My favourite kind of present’ the Alpha growls against my skin.

I can’t help it, since they both marked me I’ve craved them constantly. If I’m away from them, I want them beside me and if I’m around them, I want them inside my body.

Hadley has been very good about using protection when he’s with me, even when I get carried away, he’s pulling away from me, reminding me that we have to be careful. Caden and I don’t bother to use anything, I know I will have to produce an heir for him and I’m pretty much of the mindset that it will happen when it’s supposed too.

My stomach growls loudly as I blush, both my mates turning to stare at me before chuckling.

‘Hungry sweetheart?’ Hadley asks, removing my hand from his chest so he can sit up as I whine in protest.

‘I did come over here to talk about dinner’ I mumble, inching back into Caden who is twisting a lock of my hair around his finger.

‘I’ll make us all some fettuccini’ the warrior grins, pulling on his underwear and standing up to collect his clothes that lie in a trail from the bedroom door where I’d ripped them off him earlier. ‘Do you think you can keep it in your pants long enough for me to actually cook Star?’ he adds cockily.

Caden raises an eyebrow, ‘I’m not you mate’ he replies, ‘I can control myself.’

Hadley shakes his head as he walks to the door, ‘nine Star, remember? Nine!’

The Alpha laughs, grinning widely, ‘oh yeah, I remember’ he growls, ‘never heard my name screamed so many times.’

‘Oh my Goddess, shut up!’ I g***n, covering my face with my hands.

‘Aww don’t pretend to be shy baby’ Caden murmurs, biting my shoulder, ‘you aren’t like this when my fingers are inside of you.’

‘You love me Leeway’ the Alpha growls back, ‘and you always will.’

‘Yeah, but you are still an a*****e’ I grumble, wriggling out of his hold so I can get up and head to Hadley’s drawers. Rummaging through his clothes, I pull out a pair of his shorts that I had to pull as tight as they would go just to stop them falling down. Grabbing one of his shirts, I went to pull it over my head just as it was tugged from my hands and another shirt was placed on my body, one that smelled just like Caden.

I peer up at the Alpha who is looking down at me with that cocky smirk I know so well.

‘Really?’ I huff, crossing my arms over my chest.

‘Hey, I let you wear his shorts this time’ my mate argues as I shake my head, heading out of the door and down the stairs to the kitchen where something delicious is already reaching my nostrils.

Walking into the kitchen, Hadley turns from the stove, a grin flirting across his face, ‘wow, he let you wear my shorts?’

I nod as I reach up to press a k**s to his cheek, ‘still insisted on his own shirt though’ I reply.

‘I’m right here you know’ Caden growls from behind me as I turn around to find the Alpha leaning against the door frame. ‘Umm, forgotten something?’ he adds, tapping his cheek as I roll my eyes and head toward him, reaching up to k**s him as he turns his head, capturing my lips with his.

‘You are no longer in competition’ I remind him when I finally pull away, ‘you are both my mates. We are no longer bound by your dad’s rules.’

Caden shrugs, pulling me to his chest, ‘doesn’t mean I don’t expect just as many k****s as Carrington’ he rumbles.

I sigh loudly, ‘well . . . if you insist’ I reply, feigning reluctance.

Growling, Caden grips me under the arms, lifting me up so I have to wrap my legs around him and presses his lips to mine, demanding entrance as I m**n, allowing him immediately.

‘OK, put our mate down’ Hadley calls out as he carries two plates over to the table. Releasing me reluctantly, Caden places me on the ground and grabs my hand in his leading me over to the table. Taking a seat, Caden sits on my right, and we wait for Hadley to return with his own plate, sitting on my left.

Picking up my fork, I swirl it in the pasta, curling the strands around the end and placing it in my mouth.

‘Oh Goddess, how do you do this?’ I g***n loudly, pushing more into my mouth.

Hadley swallowed his mouthful, ‘nothing but the best for you sweetheart’ he murmurs.

Suddenly Alpha Scott’s voice filled our heads, cutting through the peaceful atmosphere. ‘Caden, Hadley, Jamie-Lee, come to my office now.’

‘We’re having dinner’ Caden snaps back, he’s still angry about his father’s wolf trying to make me back down over Hadley.

‘Well eat quickly then, we have something to discuss’ his father growls back before cutting the mind link.

The warrior raises an eyebrow, ‘what do you think that is about?’ he asks quietly.

Caden shrugs, ‘who knows’ he replies roughly, stabbing at his pasta like it has personally angered him. ‘But I can promise you now, if it’s any more of his bullshit about trying to break our bonds, I’m going to break his face and I wont feel any remorse for doing so.’
