The malicious spirit flew toward the sky. In a matter of moments, the sky changed its hue. Following this, a ghostly mask, larger than the Violet Flame Sect, materialized mid-air.

The ghost mask, with its gaping mouth, loomed over everyone below. Upon seeing the enormous ghost mask, everyone was filled with terror.

“Brat, brace yourself for the Ghost King’s initiation,” said Carlo with a cold scoff as he looked at Jared.

“Ghost King?” Jared scoffed. “Just an illusion spell. You might fool others, but you can’t fool me.”

After he finished speaking, a burst of golden light emerged from him. Accompanied by the resonating sound of a dragon’s roar, a golden dragon materialized above Jared’s head.

Since his identity had already been exposed, Jared had nothing left to fear.

The golden dragon soared into the sky, unleashing a torrent of flames at the enormous ghostly mask. Upon the impact of the golden dragon, the ghost mask immediately shattered, vanishing in an instant.

Carlo was taken aback, his eyebrows furrowing instantly.

Despite dealing with Carlo, Jared still managed to flirt around. Harlan and Berthold were livid.

Meanwhile, Carlo saw his wife appear and flirt with his father.

This absolutely infuriated him.

“Father, I can’t believe you’ve been involved with my wife. You’ve made a fool out of me. Yet, I spent all these years missing you. I’m going to kill you!”

Carlo declared his intention to kill Jared.

Jared, with a wave of his hand, instantly enveloped Carlo with an arcane array. Carlo, trapped within the formation, was like a monkey being toyed with. He leaped up and down, shouting and screaming.

Everyone couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Using the illusion spell, Jared tricked Carlo into thinking that his wife had cheated on him with his father.

This was too much for Carlo to bear. Even if the illusion array was dispelled and Carlo regained consciousness, he would definitely still be triggered.
