Question
POV Nathan
I watched from the office, the window in front of me offering a clear view of every movement. She hadn't returned yet, which made me sigh in impatience. It wasn't like I was expecting her to stay away for too long, but for some reason, the delay was bothering me more than I cared to admit.
My plan was in motion, and Sophia was still in her phase of resistance. She didn't know what was best for her, but I did. And little by little, she would begin to understand that resistance was futile. She could try to pull away, deny the truth, but soon enough, she would surrender. I was sure of it.
The sound of the door opening made me turn. She had finally arrived. The way she entered showed me she was still shaken, but over time, she would realize that the rules were mine to dictate, not hers.
"You're late," I said, my voice controlled but harsh. "That wasn't part of our agreement."
She seemed to hesitate for a moment, looking at me with eyes that were half defiant, half guilty, as if she wanted to do something but was unable to.
"I... I ran into Vanessa," she said, almost whispering.
The name Vanessa brought a slight smile to my lips. "Vanessa. What a surprise. I imagine it was difficult for you to deal with her." I said with disdain, knowing how much that woman hated Sophia, which only gave me more control over the situation.
Sophia didn't answer, she just stepped closer to me, but not with the confidence I was expecting. There was something in her posture telling me she was still wondering if all of this was really necessary. She knew what was expected, but the traces of resistance were still there. That amused me.
"You shouldn't have wasted time with her," I said, keeping my tone calm, but with the clear intention of asserting control. "You had a task to complete."
She swallowed hard, clearly nervous, but looked at me again as if trying to find some strength within herself.
"I... I know what to do, Nathan," she said, the sentence coming out more like an affirmation than a doubt.
I smiled, feeling she was starting to understand. She knew what was expected of her, but I wanted more. I wanted her to show me more, I wanted her to go beyond expectations. The game was far from over.
"I'll give you a chance to prove that, Sophia," I said, my tone serious, but also suggesting something more. "Tomorrow, I'm going to put you in a situation where you'll need to trust me. You'll do what I ask, without hesitation, without questioning. You will show me that you're ready to surrender, completely."
Her eyes widened, and I saw a shiver pass through her body. It was clear she wasn't expecting that kind of command. She was still in shock, but that was part of the process. I wanted to see how far she would go to prove I was right about her. She remained silent for a moment, her expression a mix of confusion and a hint of fear. But then, without saying anything more, she gave a slight nod.
"Yes, Nathan," she replied, and although her voice was almost imperceptible, I knew she was committed. She had no choice anymore. And that's exactly what I wanted.Content property of NôvelDra/ma.Org.
I stood up from my chair and took a step toward her, watching the visible tension in her shoulders. She was trying to stay firm, but I could see the signs. She was yielding, little by little. Maybe not fully yet, but she was on her way. I was curious to see how she would react to what came next.
"I like seeing your submission, Sophia," I said, my voice dropping, making the statement more intimate. "But remember, it's not just about what you do. It's about how you think, how you surrender to it. Mental surrender is the key to your total obedience."
She breathed deeply, as if absorbing every word, and the challenge disappeared from her eyes, replaced by reluctant acceptance. She didn't like what was happening, but she knew there was no turning back.
I guided her to the sofa, and without words, I let her sit down. The tension between us was palpable. She knew what I expected. The atmosphere now felt heavier, stronger. She felt it too, but she wasn't ready to completely surrender. And that made me even more determined to push her to the limit.
"Now," I began, the word coming out with such firmness that everything around us seemed smaller. "I want you to show me what you're capable of when you surrender completely."
She looked at me, her eyes still marked by insecurity and resistance, but she knew there was no escape anymore. She had already taken a step toward me. The question now was: how far would she go to satisfy me?
