The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 20: It’s a contract marriage

CHAPTER TWENTY

Diana’s POV.

What the hell!!

Like what I just heard right now about marriage.

Jesus Christ!! I can’t believe it’s happening.

Everything is like a movie to me like when did this happen, I was still trying to digest the fact that Fanuel took Christine out not knowing that even a bigger blow was about to land on my head and it’s a real blast.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.

I can’t survive this, I can’t take this! how will my friend get married to the one I’ve ever wanted all my life

Come to think of the fact that he asked me to be the chief bridesmaid on their day !!

What sort of selfish audacity could that be?

I’ve tried.

I’ve done all my possible best for this cute Greek god to even glance at me but it’s all worth less.

Christine gets everything always and always even though I look more beautiful than her, she’s still the medal price anywhere we step our feet into.

Do you think I’m pouring out my frustrations? No wait until you meet Fanuel Hudson the hottest billionaire then you will understand my plague and my point.

In the space of how many days she was going to be the bride of the hottest billionaire, I felt tears sliding down my cheeks in pain…. I can’t let this happen, no way!! I like Fanuel too much to let this happen, but what will I do!! What can I do?

I hit the wall in anger to express my pain but I ended up getting hurt in the process. I need to draft a plan.

“Diana?”

“Huh?” I turned sharply to face her, she was in tears.

“I can’t do this babe, he’s a monster.”

She sniffed and I grit my teeth in anger, what’s it with this pretense?

“Really!”

“I’m in a deep shit Diana and you’re asking me that!”

“Getting married to the hottest billionaire is a shit? Are you trying to mock me?”

“What do you mean”

“You get to flaunt yourself around him the most, have him whenever you want and gosh….. don’t tell shit! You’re happy, stop the pretense please.”

“You’re so unbelievable Diana! Happy? Do you see how he treats me or you’re so blinded by this huge crush you have on him without noticing that he’s an evil pot of stew that could burn your tongue!!”

“If my tongue gets burnt by him, so be it!!! Look babe, I’m sorry…. I’m just depressed and worried for you, I don’t even know why I keep ranting over and over again on something that’s already happened. I just hope he treats you right in your marriage.”

I told her after regretting expressing how I felt about her and Fanuel. It would be bad to reveal that I’m not happy for her, it would ruin everything.

It would create suspicion and it would be a catastrophe to my plans.

“It’s a contract marriage Christine, it’s not even real.”

“What?”

“Yeah, it’s just for a year and that’s after I bear him a child.”

What??!!! A freaking child! That would happen over my dead body!

A contract marriage is not that bad, at least the contract will end but that child won’t work in any way.

“Won’t you say something?”

“I really don’t know what to say, you need to agree to the terms of the contract, there’s nothing you can do right now or he will change his next line of action.”

“That’s my worst fear right now Dee, he’s this arrogant bastard that gets things done his own way.”

“shhh…. close your eyes and imagine none of this actually happened, it’s going to be fine Christine.” I told her and engulfed her in a hug and she sighed in depression.

“I’ve checked everywhere Mum, I can’t find it.”

” Are you sure you didn’t leave it outside or somewhere?”

“I didn’t mum, that bracelet is always on my wrists, you know what mum don’t worry…I will look for it alone, thanks a lot for trying.”

“Be fine ok? Have you heard from your sister?”

“Nope”

“Can’t you visit?

“I don’t know if that’s allowed mum ”

“If you don’t try, you wouldn’t know”

“I will try.”

Mum said and exited the room, That bracelet is taking a troll on me right now.

It’s always on my wrists until the day I visit that bar, yes! That bar. I think I kind of misplaced it there. I need to go there immediately, that’s the only thing Christine has of me and I can’t let that miss just like that.

I reached the bar and I was lucky enough to meet the bartender that attended to me.

“Hey!”

“Hi man, you came back…we have a new blue cocktail that will totally swoon you off.”

“Thanks but I’m not here for that.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, the other night I was here…I kind of dropped my bracelet and I forgot to take it along with me, did you by any chance see it?”

“Bracelet?”

“Yeah”

“I think a cute arrogant guy took it with him, he was pissed at the fact I sold more drinks to you despite the fact that you’re wasted.”

“Shit!! Do you know him.”

“Nope, they don’t come here often…. he was here with Fanuel Hudson.”

“What?”

“Yeah, they came together with some other guy.”

Fanuel Hudson? Who could it be? How on earth will I get my back my bracelet now that that monster is involved? Mum is right, I badly need to visit my sister, it’s been how many days? I need to see her.

“You know what, thank you for the information.”

“You’re welcome, just don’t forget to drop by, the wine will be waiting for you.”

He said and I shook my head before exiting the bar. He has a way of marketing his products till the very last minute, if I wasn’t here for my bracelet I would have bought that new cocktail wine but too bad I’m not interested.
