The Last Ceo’s Deal

Chapter 16: Diamond necklace is missing

DEAL WITH THE CEO.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN.

Third’s Pov.

He looked frustrated, calm and beautiful. He kept biting his lips at different intervals and it seemed to be driving Christine over the edge as she dust his room.

His hairy brows kept creasing in confusion, as he ran his hands on his curly hair. His Silver necklace shone brightly to the rays of the beautiful room light, his white shirt hung tightly to him like a second skin and the first three buttons of his shirt were opened revealing a delicious part of his not so hairy chest.

Christine swallowed hard, her eyes were fixed on him as she didn’t even know what she was cleaning again, she regretted being allowed in here, she hated the fact that her body reacts to his presence, she hated the fact that she likes how good he looks, she likes staring at him even though he’s a pain the ass.

How can someone look so effortlessly gorgeous? He was seriously typing on his laptop and his pupils dilated darker in worry, She felt for him, he needed to rest.

He was over stressed and it might take a toll on his health, he doesn’t sleep at night. She has woken up severally to see him walk around with a drink in his hands as he stares into nothing.

He looked like a fine wine that needed to be kept in the purest and most expensive bottle, without stress, just to stay there and glow its beauty.

“Are you done staring?” She trembled at his voice.

“huh?”

“I know I’m irresistible, but can you get done with that shit and fuck off?”

He yelled and Christine bowed.

“I’m sorry.”

“Save your apologies and bounce out.”

She wasn’t done yet but she was glad he asked her to leave, his presence was taking control of her and she couldn’t explain such feelings. She dropped a cream on the table and took her steps to leave.

“And what’s that?”

“A tube cream for burns”

“What?”

“I noticed that the coffee I poured on you had burnt your skin with a mark, so I told Jayden to order for an anti inflammatory cream for you”

He scoffed.

“What the actual fuck!! Who the hell are you?”Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

“I’m sorry, I just….”

“Have I warned you to stay away from my brother?

“I just wanted to…..”

“You keep disobeying my orders right, oh! You want to prove something.”

“Your skin was red, i thought I could just help!!”

“So you’re saying I don’t have experienced doctors all over the country to get me treated right? It’s a shameless thief like you, who knows what’s best for me right?”

“It’s okay, I’m sorry. It would Never repeat itself again. I will just throw the cream away.” She moved to pick the cream from the table stand.

“So you’ve got balls right? You now take things on my table right in my face!! How many things have you been taking in my absence?”

“But I thought you don’t need it, I haven’t taken a thing in your absence.”

“But you just did, and you have the audacity to tell me that you want to throw that away, do you know how much that shit cost? Just because your dad was lucky enough to dupe billions and millions away doesn’t give you any right to touch or throw a thing here!!!”

“I wasn’t….”

“Get the fuck out of my room.” He yelled and Christine fled.

The tears rolled freely, she was tired of him branding her as that monster of a dad.

She was tired of him accusing her of anything that has to do with stealing or taking anything.

Why can’t he just see her as a normal human or a maid in this house? Why does he keep transferring his pain and aggression to her? No matter how she tries to be strong, his words hurt. It hurts a lot and she doubts she will be able to endure till the end.

This rollercoaster ride of accusations and harsh treatment would soon step on its brakes, soon enough.

“Hey there”

“Hey, oh sorry hi sir.”

“Are we really going to have another argument today about that?”

“No Jayden, we are not.”

“Good” She chuckled and bowed her head, Jayden was one sweetest soul she has ever come across.

He hated it when she called him as a profession, and she made sure she felt at ease despite his brother’s ill treatment towards her.

“You were crying right?”

“No.. not at all.”

“Yeah, you’re not a good liar.”

“I am a good liar! I lied a lot.. I’ve lied to my Mum and succeeded, I’ve lied to Diana and succeeded and I’ve lied to Easton without making success, You’re right!! I’m a not a good liar.” She faced her palms herself and laughed.

“Told ya, mind sharing what the issue was?”

“Nothing much, just missing my mum and brother.”

“Yeah, you’re a good liar in this one. You lied so smoothly”

“I’m not Jay!”

“Fine, you got me! I know why you were crying but it’s ok…I can manage this lie, it’s still true though.”

“Gosh! Don’t you give up already?”

“Nope, I don’t ”

“I see, you’re a pack of trouble.”

“I wish. Whatever the case might be, don’t take it to heart. You will get to hear more of that often and there’s nothing you can do about it, behave as if such remarks have no meaning in your life and you will be surprised at how you will feel.”

“You’re nice to me, why?” He gave an angelic smile.

“Don’t know, maybe because whatever shit you’re in now isn’t your fault, and you’re nice too.”

“Thank you Jayden, this is the most heart warming compliment I’ve ever received.”

“You’re welc……”

Diana’s Loud voice distracted us as we both turned.

“Oh my God!! You’re outside here, you need to come to the living room right away! All the maids are required to be there, something drastic happened.”

“What happened?”

“Fanuel Hudson’s diamond necklace is missing.”

My heartbeat accelerated into uncountable pounds as Jayden turned to look at me.
