Chapter 248
Rachel stopped his hand. "Stop it. I was saying stupid things."
Although she was verbally denying it, Matthew noticed the flush on her face and her shallow breaths. His desire grew even more. "What do you mean, stupid things? You were clearly saying what was on your mind!" He tried to touch her again, but she swatted his hand away. She glared at him. "I don't care what I said before, Matthew. It was all because I was drugged. We're not married yet, so you can't do it with me." Matthew had spent three years in prison. He'd only just had a taste of heaven, and it was taken away. He felt upset, but he couldn't force it. He felt sorry for himself. "What a pity." Rachel was afraid that he'd get up to something again, so she opened the door.
There was a shriek. Tracy had been eavesdropping outside the door, and now she was exposed.
When Rachel saw her, she said crossly, "Since when have you been standing here? What did you hear?"
Tracy smiled. "I just got here. What... what were you doing with the door closed? It's not good for your image if the other employees catch wind of it."
Rachel was blushing slightly. "Nothing happened. We were just having a chat. We'll meet a few hospital deans tomorrow to settle the matter of getting the drugs into hospitals."
She dared not let the conversation run for too long, so she changed the topic and talked about work instead.
Tracy looked at Matthew and Rachel suspiciously. She had witnessed them messing around in the car, and now they were being secretive. She suspected that they were doing something naughty just now. What a pity she'd missed it!
"Got it. I'll cooperate with you and follow your lead."
Rachel shook her head. "You'll work with the sales representatives. I have other plans."
What? Tracy was disappointed. She and Rachel worked well together as a team. They could communicate with each other just with their eyes. So, she wanted to work with Rachel.
She asked, "What will you be doing?"
Rachel pointed at Matthew. "We'll be working together."
Just the two of them? Tracy immediately jumped to conclusions. They were definitely going to mess around with each other.
What surprised her the most was
Rachel. Back then, the latter regarded men with disdain. But now,
after doing it once with Matthew, it seemed like Rachel was hooked.

They had already had a session together in the office just moments before, and they were going to do it tomorrow.
It seemed like things were getting interesting.
...
The next day, Matthew picked Rachel up from the office. "Which hospital are we going to first?"
Rachel sat in the passenger seat. She closed her eyes, as if she were contemplating something. Her sales representative had gone to Medicare Hospital, but they had refused to let the new drug in.
They'd already tried everything. Rachel going there was basically a last ditch effort. When she heard Matthew, she closed her eyes and said, "Medicare Hospital."
Matthew murmured in response and began driving to the hospital.
About 20 minutes later, the car stopped at the entrance to the hospital.
Rachel called the dean on her phone. Matthew rolled down the window and stared out at Peace Clinic. He could see Silas working through the glass windows. There were two patients in the clinic.
Rachel hung up. She spotted Matthew looking out at the clinic. "Do you want to be a doctor?"
Matthew shook his head. "That's my friend's clinic."
Rachel shook her head. "He's got bad judgment. Why would he open a clinic in front of a hospital? Isn't he basically asking for trouble?"
Matthew just had to be a big mouth. "I helped him pick the spot."novelbin
