The Good Girl's Revenge

Chapter 597

Chapter 597

Meredith said this on purpose. After she finished, she looked into Evelyn's eyes.

Upon hearing the word "Poisoned, Evelyn couldn't help but reach out and touch her nose." Poisoned?

What happened?" she asked.

Seeing her movements, Meredith was much more convinced of her guess. People touched their noses

subconsciously when they were guilty of lying. Therefore, the medicine that Fiona drank must have

something to do with Evelyn.

"We'll figure it out after investigation. If I find out who that person is, I won't let it go."

Meredith's words panicked Evelyn.

Evelyn wondered if there was any evidence she left inadvertently. When she came back, she found that

the leftovers had been thrown away. Just in case, she went to check and found the trash can clean.

Moreover, there were no surveillance cameras in the ward.

Even if Meredith wanted to investigate, there was no physical evidence.

The thought of this relieved Evelyn. "Well, check it out, but now you can leave!" Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Meredith didn't mean to stay, either. "I'll leave without you telling me."

Then she walked in and told Easton to leave.

Easton was excited to see Derek wake up, but the he effects of the anesthetic had yet to wear off. After

waking up for a while, he fell asleep again in a daze.

"Dad, you must get better soon."

After that, Easton reluctantly left.

Meredith didn't want to separate them, but she had to busy herself with Fiona's transfer. With Evelyn

here, she couldn't leave Easton alone in the hospital.

Easton, who was sensible, followed Meredith instead of insisting on getting his way.

Derek was in a coma, he he seemed to have noticed something and lips' moved. "Don't go... Mer..."

Evelyn was pissed off to hear that he was calling Meredith's name when he was in a daze.

She couldn't figure out what was so good about that woman.

...

On the way to the other hospital Fiona was going to stay, sitting in the ambulance, Meredith felt worn

out but she dared not to relax.

Easton fell asleep from weariness.

Meredith took off her coat and covered him. She was seized with mixed feelings.

She wished that Easton could stay innocent and happy forever.

To her dismay, his innocence was staying away from him.

Meredith sighed and took a look at Fiona lying there.

Now that she was out of danger, but she hadn't woken up yet, Meredith felt an immense sense of guilt

for this little girl. She thought that bringing her out of that stepmother who abused her would make her

happier.

But such tings happened unexpectedly.

Her mind was in a mess, which exhausted her.

After about half an hour, the ambulance stopped at the entrance of the hospital.

Meredith perked up and settled Fiona in the intensive care unit before she made sure Easton get a

place to sleep well. Then she breathed a sigh of relief.

It was safe here. It was almost dawn when everything was settled.

Only then did she realize that she hadn't slept all night and she was hungry.

However, Meredith was too tired, so she found an empty ward and fell asleep.

...

When Meredith woke up again, Parker stood by the bed and looked at her with concern. "Mer, why

don't you take care of yourself? You fainted from low blood sugar and have a fever. Hadn't the nurse

come to the ward this morning and found that you didn't look well, you might be in danger."

Only then did Meredith see a needle inserted into her hand, and she was dizzy.

"Me, I fainted? I thought I was asleep."

Meredith touched her forehead and it seemed a little hot.

"Can you take care of yourself?"

Parker couldn't help shaking his head. "Did something happen to you yesterday? Why didn't you call

me?"

Parker saw that Easton was there too, which perplexed him because it was time for him to go to

school. He knew something was wrong from Easton's expression.

Although the boy didn't want to talk to himself, Parker could guess that something must have

happened.

"I was too careless. I shouldn't have left the two children alone."

Meredith gave a general idea of what happened. She still blamed herself for Fiona's poisoning.

"Did Evelyn do it?"

Parker's eyes dimmed at the words.

He thought her was just stupid, but he didn't expect her to be so ruthless.

"I suspect it's her. She's acting really weird, but the stuff has been thrown away. The physical evidence

is gone."

Meredith felt terrible.

Parker comforted, "It's not all your fault. No one would have expected her to be so crazy. The most

important thing is to wait Fiona to recover before we settle accounts with her."

Meredith nodded. "Parker, you're right, but I was wondering if I should find her mother. If she wakes up

and sees her mother, she should be happy, right?"

Now Meredith was still thinking about how to compensate Fiona and make herself feel better.

"I see. Leave this to me. Have a rest here. You can't leave without the doctor's permission."

Parker was unusually strict, and his tone was overbearing and irrefutable.

Meredith was helpless. "Okay, I got it."

Parker was slightly relieved and said, "Don't worry. Since you have found out who that woman is, leave

the matter of bringing her here to me."

Meredith nodded and took a long breath in the bed after seeing Parker off.

Only then did she feel dizzy with her movements. She began to take it seriously.

There were a lot of things remain to be done, but she was not in a good condition.

Meredith was so upset and she couldn't help but think about Derek's situation. She was worried about

him.

She wondered if Evelyn would be crazy enough to do something to Derek.

Yet Meredith felt uneasy that such a crazy woman stayed by his side.

But it might not be her turn to take care of it.
