The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 2040

"Two treasures?"

Vicky did a double take, but she soon remembered.

There were indeed two things that Frank had managed to snatch out of Titus Lioheart's possession-the first being the Turnbull family's spiritron vein, and the second being the Celestial Dew, which Titus had intended to use as bait.

Both were worth a king's ransom and ultimately fell into Frank's possession.

While the guests present had no idea what Stanley was talking about, they more or less understood that Stanley was a close friend of the Lionhearts.

And after a moment's silence, Vicky looked up with a twinkle in her eye. "I only have one, and I'm able to return it... But I don't know about the other, because Frank has it."

"Really? Just one?"

Stanley raised a brow. "How insincere of you, Ms. Turnbull. Forgive me, but I won't be able to stay my hand..." "Wait!"

Vicky quickly added, "Frank would've been carrying it with him. Can't we come to an agreement if I recover it now?"

Stanley remained silent for a moment, narrowing his eyes.

Still, he soon relaxed and smiled. "Sure."

Vicky nodded. "In that case, give us some time. We'll find it right away."

"Heh. But that won't do."

Stanley chuckled, wagging his finger. "You're a hostage of serious importance. Surely you can get someone else to look? I mean, what am going to do if you run away?"

His words were utterly despicable despite his innocent tone, and Vicky almost snapped right then.

However, she eventually merely scowled.

"In that case, I'll send someone to look," she said and turned to Winter. "Make a call. Ask your staff to help."

Winter was left frowning. "But I don't know what they're looking for..."

"A ring."

Vicky then told Winter about the ring in detail as she had seen it before and had Winter call the hospital staff to have them bring it.

However, she was not aware that

the Celestial Dew that Titus was obsessing over had already been consumed, half by Frank and the other by Kat Yego. Winter's hospital staff would not find anything now...

"Stop, Vicky," Helen suddenly strode up, frowning at her. "I don't want to owe you anything."

"Hah! What do you mean, owe? Your company is as good as mine."

Helen could not quite understand what she was saying and eventually signed softly. "Frank is—"

While Helen shook her head and flashed a begrudging smile, their reactions made evident their personalities.

One valued sentiment over rationality, while rationality was the chief priority in the other's head.
