Chapter 2011
"What?! The bounty was called off?!"
All the martial artists present appeared stunned when they heard that what were they doing here, dying for nothing?
Many glanced at the building that Frank stomped and crushed under his foot and found pity for the deaths of the martial artists buried under the rubble.
Naturally, they were further shocked that Frank was so important that Governor Quill would personally approach the Martial Alliance and plead leniency for his sake.
Who was he to Governor Quill?
Even Podrick and Stanley were left stunned by how important Frank really was, and silence soon ensued.
Nheless, Elder Fango shook his head and chuckled. "I initially only came to take Frank and have him sent to Blackwater, where he would reflect in penance for three years, but I'm being told something different."
Looking up at Frank with a smile, he asked, "You're denying that you murdered Commissioner Kramer, yes?"
"That's right!"
Frank nodded at Elder Fango despite being shocked by the pressure projected on him, remaining neutral as he spoke. "I've been framed by design, and I more or less have an idea who did it.
"As for the real culprit who murdered Geon Kramer... Just give me three days, and I will give you a satisfactory answer before the Martial Tournament!"Belongs to © n0velDrama.Org.
Elder Fango nodded in satisfaction at Frank's words and turned toward Stanley. "How about that, Mr. Mayor? Are you willing to give Frank three days?"
"T-That's out of the question!"
Stanley snarled through his teeth, "We have all the proof we need. And what if he runs away in those three days? How are we supposed to catch him then?"
"Pfft-"
Frank snickered at Stanley's outburst. "What, is your conscience gnawing at you?"
"My conscience?"
Stanley snorted. "I'm just worried that you'd skip town, murderer!"
"That's enough!"
Elder Fango frowned before
whipping out a pill the size of a cherry and throwing it at Frank. "That's a death pill that the Martial Alliance feeds criminals who commit capital crimes. Someone who takes it will instantly die after three days without the antidote."
Then, he passed a white pill to Stanley with a smile. "That's the antidote. If Frank finds the reale culprit in three days,
Il give el
him. How about that?"

Stanley was initially surprised by Elder Fango's suggestion, but he was soon celebrating inwardly while sliding a subtle savage glare at Frank.
After all, he believed that Frank's fate was sealed now-Frank was definitely going to die with the antidote in his hands!
However, Frank frowned and protested, "Elder Fango, what if Stanley is the real culprit, and he refuses to give me the antidote even if I expose him?"
"Hehe."
Elder Fango chuckled. "You're the
one who asked to maintain your innocence, so you should also be the one to overcome the hurdles. Wouldn't it be unfair to the Zamri administration if I side with you entirely?
"Moreover, you must understand I'm already bending the rules by offering you this opportunity, so don't ask for too much-do you understand?"
