The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 1713

"What the hell?"

Huub's expression was as cold as ice.

He always knew that undertakers were so eloquent that they could give fortune tellers a run for their money. However, nothing they ever said would be true, as it was all a sales pitch.

And Huub could not care less about people like them, so he snorted and turned to leave.

"Hey now, sir!"

Seeing that Huub was going to abandon his unconscious goon, the unscrupulous geezer hurried to him and started rambling, "You could let me handle his funeral matters. I promise that it will be my finest work. The deposit would be..."

As his eyes narrowed in glee and he rubbed his hands at Huub, his intention could not have been clearer.

"Fuck off!" Huub's other goon barked.

He had come to see what was this Bloodcrane Spiritbloom his colleague found, only for him to bring them to such a dank, gloomy place.

And as it turned out, his colleague messed up big time.

The goon would have laughed—in fact, he wanted to do it from the start. But seeing the furious look on Huub's face, he did not dare to do so.

"What..."NôvelDrama.Org exclusive content.

The geezer thought they were here for funeral services, only for them to snap at him.

And judging from their looks, they had money, so he only smiled awkwardly without insulting them.

Still, as he left, he shook his head in exasperation and sighed softly. "I thought that gentleman on the floor was a savant, taking a liking to the flower I made and was eager to show you. But now... I guess no one appreciates art these days!"

"Watch your mouth!" the goon snapped at the geezer again, still holding back his laughter.

Nheless, as the geezer

shrugged nonchalantly and headed

behind his shoplet, Huub's pho

started ringing.

Naturally, it was none other than Helen, who urged Huub politely despite her anxiety, "Has the herb arrived, Mr. Droitner? The kidnapper has just called again, threatening to hurt my uncle in two hours if she still doesn't see the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom. I'm afraid-"

"It's fine, it's fine. It will be here soon," Huub replied half-heartedly, his eyes darting evasively.

Still, he spotted a fake flower that looked very much like it was alive and suddenly had an idea.

"Sorry, Helen-I'm busy right now. Let's talk later," he said, and hung up.

Then, he held out a hand, stopping his goon from leaving the nameless shoplet.

"What is it, sir?"

His goon looked at him in confusion.

Huub did not explain himself,

however, and instead turned toward

the geezer. "Since you're that

confident, show me the Bloodcrane Spiritbloom you've made."

"Oh?"

The geezer's eyes lit up immediately. "It seems that someone here knows his goods!"

And with those words, he excitedly headed out through the back door to fetch it.

When he was goon, the goon asked gingerly, "Sir, you know that it's a fake flower, right? That means-

"I know." Huub snorted, though a smile soon appeared on his lips.
