The Fortune-Telling Heiress

Fortune 37

Harvey looked at the pitifully empty dressing room and frowned. "Maddie should move to the third floor, Mom."

They initially had Madison stay on the second floor so that she and Rebecca could see each other often and get to know each other better. But they had overlooked the fact that Rebecca had already occupied most of the rooms on the second floor. Thus, Madison ended up in this makeshift room.

Harvey didn't think much about it earlier. But after seeing Madison's room, it started to bother him. Her room didn't even measure up to Rebecca's dressing room.

Tanya subconsciously added, "Becky talked about having a dance room and music room on the third floor-"

Before Tanya could finish, Harvey cut her off, "Rebecca has her own studio. What else could she possibly need?"

Under Josephine's gaze, William felt hesitant about the situation as well.

Looking at where Madison was living made Williams feel sorry for her, so he made a call on the spot. "Let's go with Harvey's suggestion. Maddie will stay on the third floor from

now on."

Tanya had more to say, but she bit her tongue alter glancing at Harvey and William

josephine watched as the maids moved Madison's belongings to the largest bedroom on the third floor. Compared to the small room on the second floor, the bedroom on the third floor was practically a small suite

"Put all these clothes into the dressing room," Josephine instructed. She then told the maids to lay out the jewelry on the dressing table.

Madison and the rest of the Lockes just watched as Josephine directed the maids to arrange the furniture and organize the clothes and jewelry.

After everything was ready, Josephine remarked with some dissatisfaction, "This is acceptable, but I'm not happy with the bed and dressing table. I'll have new furniture sent over later, Maddie

Before Josephie could finish, Harvey spoke up, "No need to trouble yourself with the furniture, Mrs. Salle. We'll take care of it."

Josephine glanced at Harvey skeptically. "Alright. Fine.""

Josephine walked up to Madison. Holding Madison's hand, she affectionately said, "Drop by and visit me when you have time, Maddie,"

Josephine couldn't help but glance at the ghost next to Madison

It was Mia, who was joyfully moving in circles around the Lockes.

Josephine avoided staring too intently, fearing that the Locke family would notice something was off.

"Okay."

"Madison was aware that what Josephine really wanted was to see Mi

Feeling content, Josephine finally left with Jordan.

As Jordan came to the door, he turned to Madison and said, "I'm free these days, Ms. Madison. If you need any help, just let me know." Madison nodded.

After Josephine and Jordan left, Tanya's expression immediately darkened. She turned to Madison and snapped, "If you're unhappy about the bedroom, you should have told me. Having an outsider step in for you is really out of line."

Tanya felt humiliated by Josephine's snide remarks.

"Mom." Harvey stopped Tanya and gently said, "I'll have a new set of furniture brought over shortly, Maddie. The third floor is all yours now. It there's anything you want, feel free to tell us."

In truth, Madison didn't really care about where she stayed. For more than 30 years, she had lived in a rental room that could barely fit a single bed and had even stayed in a leaky

antic.

During her time in the other world, she had devoted herself entirely to cultivation and had slept under the stars under harsh conditions. Despite that, she didn't want to turn down Josephine's kind gesture. Harvey flashed a smile and said to William and Tanya, "Let's head downstalts, Mom and Dad"

When they got downstairs, Harvey couldn't hold back and said, "You need to keep your favoritism in check, Mom."

Tanya was taken aback for a moment before retorting, "How am I playing favorites?

Harwy lowered his voice because he didn't want Madison to bear them lighting "it was bad enough that Maddie had to sleep in Becky's old storage room, but how could you give her Becky's used furniture? "The furniture is still in good condition. It'd be a waste to throw them away."

Harvey clenched his teeth in frustration. "Even if the fumiture is fine, it's still Rebecca's discarded things."ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Harwy no Innger called her Becky like they were close. Instead, he started calling her Rebecca.

"I finallysnderstand why Maddie wants that dress."
